Advantages: Smells nice

Disadvantages: Doesn't do anything else

I've been trying out some of Lush's bath products recently after many years avoiding them due to a bad experience with one of their other products. I spent over £15 on 4 products, the cheapest of which was this You've Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Melt. It cost £3.10 for one melt which they say is enough for just one bath so although it's cheaper than the other products I bought it's still one expensive bath!

As you should be able to see from the picture above it is a yellow bar shape which just really looks like a bar of soap, and. has the word mango imprinted in the top of it. It smells very strongly of mango which, aside from the price, is what drew me to it as mango is one of my favourite scents. As you would expect with Lush being a 'natural' company the scent is nice and natural and not chemical or artificial.

To use it they say you should run your bath then drop this in and watch as it releases it's lovely oils. I found this took ages to melt and for ages I didn't feel like it was really doing anything at all even though it had released a very thin white layer onto the top of the water. The scent got stronger and did fill the bathroom very quickly. I find it a very uplifting scent so it's not a particularly relaxing bath with this. It's very fresh and zingy.

I was quite disappointed with this really as aside from the lovely scent I really don't feel like it does anything at all. It's supposed to be really skin-softening but I didn't get any kind of moisturising or softening effect from it. I don't understand why everyone raves about this, it's just really disappointing, and the little layer of oils or whatever on the water disappeared very quickly.

Won't be buying this again, definitely not worth the money.

Summary: A waste of money
