** First off I would like to say that this product will not guarantee you will be swarmed by 1000 women on a desert island all vying to taking off your clothes. **
The product itself is one of my favourites. I have very sensitive skin and actually have had a lot of trouble trying to find a shower gel that doesn't irritate my skin and to my surprise lynx actually doesn't dry my skin at all. The gel is provides a very good clean, it lathers well in the hand and on cleaning mitts meaning a little bit goes a long way which means it is very cheap and lasts a long time, even if it could come in a slightly larger size. As the for fragrance, I personally really like it, it stays on the body allowing to smell fresh all day. The smell isn't overpowering, just pleasant and you really do feel cleansed after using the gel. It is much of a muchness compared to other lynx shower gels which I would also recommend highly as they do get the job done and are very good value for money. One other key thing I had found in my use of the gel is that it also does give a good clean as a shampoo aswell and a shower gel and therefore could be used temporarily if you do run out of shampoo but it maybe a bit to drying long term.
All in all I would highly recommend the gel!
I was in need of some new shower gel and deodorant the other day and saw an offer on in Asda for Lynx products and having been a fan of Lynx for years I purchased a couple of the shower gels and also two deodorant cans to keep me going over for a few months. I tend to buy a few at a time to take advantage of some excellent offers. Lynx Apollo was one of the biggest of the older Lynx varieties but after a hiatus it came back recently and has a subtle twist on the old favourite. I have pretty much liked all the Lynx deodorants or shower gels I have bough apart from one or two which didn't live up to the usual expectations of the brand.
Lynx Apollo is a fragrant mix of clary sage, quince and lavender which makes for a nice scent. The shower gel mixes well with water so you don't need too much shower gel to lather a decent amount of soapy water which means that you will get a decent amount of use out of the shower gel which is important when considering which products to buy. The shower gel as well as the deodorant also has subtle notes of sandalwood, Mandarin and other notes to create a nice masculine scent which works well and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. The accompanying deodorant is ideal as a partner to the shower gel but most good deodorants will combine well with the scent of the shower gel.
The fact that you can find the shower gel for around £1 in places is a very appealing thing when you consider the known quality of Lynx products especially their deodorants and shower gels. When people are making cut backs in their baskets it's worth looking for these type of deals where you get a quality product for not much money at all. The Apollo fragrance is distinctive and has that Lynx style scent which works so well. It lasts pretty well and will leave your skin feeling pretty fresh especially compared to the products which are normally £1. If you have liked Lynx shower gels in the past then give this one a try and I'm sure you will like it's Fruity and woody scent. It's worth picking up one of the other shower gels or deodorants as well.
Every young boy dreams of being a Space Man and Lynx have tried to channel that dream into their latest shower gel. New Lynx Apollo styles itself on the space age fantasies of young men everywhere.
If I'm honest the somewhat spacey design of the bottle was what appealed to me in the first place. Lynx Apollo comes in my favourite shade of black, but with a bold metallic blue splash poking out from behind the classic silver logo. Once again I proved a sucker for the bright red 'NEW' tab at the top of the bottle.
Like all of my Lynx gels this comes in a bottle that can be held quite comfortably, and features an easy to click lid that releases the fragrance inside. Lynx Apollo has a slightly zesty fragrance that playfully refreshes the senses with a variety of fruits each time you use it.
The gel itself pours evenly from a small hole in the lid, and does so in a decidedly cool shade of turquoise. As always it lathers up incredibly well on a body scrub, and cleans every nook and cranny using only a small portion of the gel. Alas Lynx still have not figured out how to get the gel to lather up as effectively without a scrub, so any manly men out there; who insist on using their hands, will find the bottle emptying rapidly.
After rinsing the gel leaves a distinctly refreshed feeling on the skin. Even after a full night's sleep I can feel the effects of the gel, and my skin has retained traces of that zesty smell nicely. Personally I have found it to be the most refreshing of the Lynx range of shower gels, and I will definitely be getting it again.
Alas the usual problem of price remains. A 250ml bottle of Lynx carries an RRP of £2.99, though you can take the sting from this quite easily by investing in the larger bottles that are priced at just £3.05. On this particular gel I'd state with confidence that it is definitely worth grabbing the larger bottle as I will be using it frequently.
Once again the back of the bottle promises 'unlimited female attention' to anyone who uses this product. I have checked back frequently but have yet to notice Vicky looking at me from across the room. She has also assured me that even with the good fragrance she feels no particular urges to chase me through the streets.
