As from my previous reviews, I am a big fan of the Lynx brand and that it is my main brand of shower gel and body spray, this has been the case for many years. Lynx products including this Lynx "Attract" are readily available in the majority of supermarkets as well as others stores on the high street.
The description from Lynx attract is that it takes us to some very exciting new places and that they are sure that it will do the same for you, I'm personally now sure about this statement because I'm not actually sure what the message is within that marketing.
The bottle itself contains 250ml of shower gel and the design is similar to all the other shower gels in the Lynx range. The bottles are black with clear Lynx branding and it is described as refreshing shower gel for him. The packaging suggest "For a deeper clean, use a man washer" which is a clever bit of marketing from Lynx to promote another one of there products. I can't comment on this as I don't use, nor ever used one.
The scent of the shower gel is very pleasant but unfortunately I can't decide what it smells of apart from a very slight woody scent.
The price of the shower gel is currently £2.50 in boots, saying that I would never pay the full RRP price on this body wash because like all Lynx shower gels they are regularly on offer in a wide variety of retainers and that is when I stock up on them. Regularly you can buy this for around £0.99.
To conclude this is yet another quality shower gel which has got a particularity pleasant and long lasting aroma.
I have been using Lynx shower gel for a number of years now. Lynx are always bringing out new fragrances so I am always one to try them out when they are released. I have to say though that Lynx Attract is one of my personal favourites. On the back of the bottle Lynx describe it as "A fragrance so irresistible it will unleash an attraction chaos." I wouldn't go this far when describing it but it does produce a sweet, fruity smell which leaves you smelling fresh all day.
Lynx Attract comes in the standard Lynx bottle which is black and has a silver lid on top. Lynx tends to have its colours for each fragrance. In this case Lynx Attract is brown and it has the word Attract written in brown across the front of the bottle. You can purchase it from most supermarkets generally for about £2.50 but i look for the offers and on most occasions I find it for half of that price. For this price you get a 250ml bottle. I use it everyday and it will usually last me 4-6 weeks but I suppose it depends how much you use.
During use, it works really well. From the bottle, you get a thick, light brown liquid. Only a small amount is needed and it produces a thick amount of lather. It can be used anywhere on the body but it is generally not best for the hair. Because it has such a strong smell, the perfume can also irritate sensitive areas so it is best to avoid those too. Issues I have had with other shower gels in the past is that they can dry the skin out, especially your hands after application but with Lynx I have never come across this problem. It leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.
Overall I believe Lynx Attract Shower Gel to be a great product. It provides excelllent value for money and can last a long time. The reason I like Attract is because of its sweet, fruity smell. This is not overpowering and leaves a faint smell that lasts throughout the day. It cleans well and at a cheap price I will continue to buy it.
Over the years I have owned a great many Lynx shower gels and have bought most of them several times. I like trying the new ranges when they come out and Lynx Attract is one of their newer ranges and I have already owned a couple of the shower gel and maybe one can of the deodorant. I was impressed with both and here is my review of the shower gel which is widely available like all the other shower gels in the Lynx range. So here is my review on the Lynx Attract shower gel. I think the bottle has a nice attractive look that will appeal to you from the shelf.
**The Shower Gel**
This shower gel has a very pleasant fruity and woody fragrance that mixes well with the water to create a decent lather which means you will get a lot of uses from the bottle compared to other rival shower gels. The scent is distinctive and goes well with pretty much all of the Lynx deodorants and of course others if you choose to spray a different deodorant on yourself after a shower or bath using this Shower gel. It feels good on your skin and leaves your skin feeling fresh and lasts pretty well compared to shower gels around the price range.
All in all this is a very impressive shower gel that is good value at around £2 for a 250ml bottle but there are some great deals about which bring the price down to 99p in some cases which is a bargain. It lasts well too giving you a very pleasant scent which mixes fruity and woody notes to create a freshness. It is one of the best recent Shower gels from Lynx and will continue to sell well throughout the next couple of years. It's a fragrance in keeping with the high standards that Lynx products have kept in recent years and the price is a real plus point compared to the cheap own brand stuff you get in Supermarkets and places like Superdrug. Obviously if you spend a bit more you will get a better shower gel but for the price this is a real bargain.
Of all the lynx shower gels that I've purchased Attract is the one that has surprised me the most. My initial impression on receiving the bottle was a little underwhelming Still packaged in a stylish Black bottle the rest of the packaging came across as slightly bland. There was a strange brown smudge peeking out from behind the lynx logo, and a kind of deformed blue roadway that I later realised was supposed to be a hazy letter A.
So it was that Attract has sat on my shelf waiting for its chance to impress me with the contents inside the bottle. In case you hadn't figured it out yet, it has!
As with all of my lynx gels I had a very easy experience clicking open the cap and was immediately refreshed as an intensely Orangey scent hit my nose. This is one of the strongest smelling lynx gels that I own, and is by far the most refreshing of the bunch.
After being woken up by the aroma it was time to give the gel a whirl. lynx: Attract drizzles out of the bottle in a very pleasant Marmalade colour and lathers up on a body scrub nicely. Not only was I able to cover my entire body with a small portion of the gel, but the scent continued to stick around while the gel lathered. Once again the gel failed to produce any real lather when I applied it directly to my hands, although in this instance I did find it slightly more refreshing to apply it directly.
After getting out of the bath I feel more alert than I have with any of my other gels, although my hands have taken on a very slight dry quality that I could have done without. Disappointingly there is no trace of the scent left on my skin, but then, this is a blokes gel after all
So despite my initial reservation I will now confidently state that Attract is my favourite lynx Shower Gel to date. The strong Orange scent is intensely refreshing and really helps you to wake up with a bang. Alas Vicky still doesn't seem to have noticed the lynx Effect in action! I wonder when I should start putting those false advertising claims into action???
lynx: Attract shower gel has an RRP of £2.99 for a single bottle, but you can get a larger bottle for just 5p more and this particular gel is worth getting in bulk. It also tends to be on sale all the time, so if you get a chance to grab a bottle please don't hesitate.
