Lynx Fever Shower Gel
Advantages: the spicey smell
Disadvantages: could have a handle
Lynx products are for men, yes? Lynx takes me back to school days when the stinky unwashed boys would spray themselves with Lynx on the bus to mask foul smells. This appalled me. I used Sure and I washed. Years on, I wonder if this still goes on. Lynx have broadened their range to include better shower gels these days though and I think the image of the brand is not quite so chavvy now.
This shower gel is available from all good supermarkets, but I confess I tried it while staying at a friend's house. The bottle stands up easily on the edge of a bath, personally I like the ones that hang with a hook, these are better for shower purposes. The shape and packaging is fine though and you can see what you are buying which always helps. Inside is the orange gel which looks visually appealing.
The smell is powerful enough to wake up any tired nose. I got a feverish blast from it. It was slightly zesty but there were spicey undertones in there. When I used it on my body, it seemed to almost warm the body up with the scent, which was pretty good. The gel produced a sufficient lather, without going super suddy. It rinsed off with ease and left my skin feeling alert and excited. For someone who had previously frowned on Lynx years ago, I was actually impressed with this shower gel.
A downside would be that the gel is a little watery and a better viscosity would be welcomed. On the plus side, the price tag comes in at under two pounds, making it affordable and in line with other leading brands. The spicey smell is the main draw here and I think I would buy this for myself in the future.
