Lynx Fever Shower Gel
Advantages: Fresh, fruity scent, cleans well, refreshing, soft, smooth skin
Disadvantages: Lid can sometimes be a bit difficult to open
I used to take my whole toiletry bag with me when visiting my boyfriend but I soon got fed up of carrying it all around with me so in the effort of travelling light I decided to use his products where I can. One product I figured I could easily get away with using is his shower gel, and for the last few visits we've been using this Lynx Fever one. I actually bought him this one a while ago when I saw it on offer somewhere for around £1. It's usual price in Boots is £2.99 for the 250ml bottle.
What attracted me to this was the bright orange colour of the gel which can be seen through the clear plastic of the bottle. It really stands out and looks bright and appealing, especially in amongst all the black of other Lynx products. The bottle has a flip top lid which makes it easy and convenient to use, but I do find the lid a little stiff on this so sometimes it can be a bit difficult to open.
The gel, as I said already, is a bright orange colour, and it has a thick gel texture and lots of metallic looking little dots in it. When you start to use the gel, massaging it onto your skin you can feel that it has tiny little beads in it, not like a proper exfoliator, but definitely something there. The scent is absolutely lovely, which surprised me as I was expecting a quite masculine scent. What I actually got was a fresh, zingy scent of dragon fruit which is very refreshing to use. It does have a slight masculine musky scent in the background but the fruity scent is the predominant scent.
It lathers up well and I don't need to use much at a time to get a nice thick lather that will easily cover my whole body. It leaves me feeling very fresh and clean after using it. My usual preference is for moisturising body washes so I was a bit worried this might leave my skin feeling quite dry in comparison to my usual products, but it actually feels like it moisturises really well and it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth.
The scent lasts well on my skin but it isn't overpowering and because it's not a particularly masculine scent I really don't mind if people can smell it on me.
All in all I've really enjoyed using this shower gel and it makes a nice change form the more creamy formulas I usually favour. Highly recommended whether you're a guy or a girl!
Summary: An excellent shower gel that will refresh and wake you up in the morning
