“ Brand: Lynx / Type: Shower Gel / Cream „
I'm not into any of the gimmicky products out there. The wife will buy all these new things, and things that do all these special things - apparently, and I just need a Shower Gel and that's it. I don't care what it promises, as long as it will clean me and a nice scent on my skin afterwards then that's mroe than enough for me.
The wife brought me one of these back one time a while ago when she was out spending money and I looked at it and though it looked odd but I would give it a go. Just seemed odd that the bottle was clear, the Gel was clear and then on the front and back was the black label with the white writing on it that we know of the Lynx brand.
This is a 150ml bottle and the wife paid £1.50 for it. She said it said it was normally £2, which I think is about right for a Lynx Shower Gel.
This has 2 tones to it. There is the clear bit in the bottom of the bottle, which is a Moisturises, and the very light blue Gel above which is the Shower Gel part. you just shake this so the 2 bits mix together and you have your Shower Gel with the Moisturiser mixed it. Sure normal Shower Gel has moisturings bits in it, so don't know why this is seperate, but it just is.
This is a nice scent and I would use this again. It is hard to describe the scent of this. It doesn't smell as masculine as other Lynx products, and smells nice fresh and a bit fruity but it is nice and cleans and moisturises and leaves your skin smelling nice and feeling a bit softer as well.
I?m always on the look out for a new shower gel as I never seem to find that one that?s just right for me. At Christmas I was pleased to be given one of the new Lynx Shower Shakes. I?ve tried Lynx gels before, using the original Lynx shower gels on and off for the last couple of years. However it wasn?t until my first experience with Shower shakes that I found a brand to be loyal to. So what is a Shower Shake and what makes it different to the regular Lynx Shower Gels? Well the main difference is that Shower Shakes contain moisturiser, which the normal Lynx Gels do not. The moisturiser and Shower Gel sit separately within the container and you have to shake it before you shower to mix the 2 elements. The clear bottle is easy to spot on the supermarket shelf as it comes in several different colours. Although I?m currently using the Blue one, I have seen an Orange and a Green One. Opening the bottle up the aroma comes through straight away and it is fairly strong but pleasant. It has quite a fruity tang but is still quite masculine. Although the scent is quite sweet, it?s not overbearing and is rather refreshing. I especially like using this in the morning as it helps clear my head from those heavy nights on the Sambuca. Having mixed the moisturiser and the gel its time to actually get into the shower and lather up. It only takes a few good hard shakes to get everything blended up. There is no danger of the bottle slipping out of my grasp as Lynx have added a grip on the side. The only downside I can see with the shake element of the product is for those odd tired mornings when I?ve forgotten to shake it. This just results in the two liquids coming out separately, but doesn?t really cause any major problems. I do like to have a good old shake
in the shower and find the only thing better to wake me up in the morning is to share one. Sadly, not always possible so I?ll have to content myself with fruity scents. When I lather up with the Gel the scent is still fairly strong and refreshing. The shower gel creates a thick lather all over and stays nice and smooth while it?s applied. I can actually feel my skin getting smoother and more moisturised while still covering my body in the suds. When I can finally take my hands off myself I find the gel rinses away smoothly and doesn?t leave any scummy residue around the shower plughole. On finishing my shower, and of course my shake, I like the results. The scent is still evident on my skin and lasts for several hours afterwards. My skin feels much nicer after my shower. It feels reasonably smooth and supple. The dry patches I get seem softer and smoother which leaves me feeling good. The softness last for most of the day so i don't feel any skin irritation during my busy day at work. A bottle normally lasts me a month and a half, which is plenty of time for adoring women to chase me down the street when they get a sniff. So would I recommend Lynx Shower Shakes? Yes I?d say I would a nice energizing smell that invigorates and helps wake you up in the morning. The moisturiser left my skin feeling soft, which is good for my dry skin. If you have sensitive skin this may not be suitable as it may cause an allergic reaction due to the perfume content though. Lynx Shower Shakes are reasonably priced at £1.99 a bottle and are available from most Supermarkets. So if you want a shower gel that refreshes the skin and leaves you feeling good then I suggest you try this.
I went shopping the other day and amongst other things needed some shower gel. So after eyeing up some lovely cream cakes and being seduced into buying one. I popped over to the smelly stuff and soap area to look for, yes you?ve guessed it. Smelly stuff and soap. While I was looking for my usual shower gel (They had moved it all around yet again) I noticed some strange looking stuff with the ?Lynx? products. They were about 17cm high by about 8 cm across. The bottle was clear plastic and shaped for easy grip. The top was black and so was the label, which had the words Lynx shower shakes on it. The liquid in side was what made it look so strange. There was clear liquid on the bottom. While sitting on that was a deep blue liquid. On the reverse of the bottle was another label that showed a bottle of the stuff and the words shower gel & moisturiser. It then gave instructions to ?shake to activate?. There was also one that had clear liquid on the bottom and green liquid on the top. The blue one was called ?Speed?. The green one was called ?Contact?. I looked down to see the price of this stuff. And noticed it was £1.99. I also noticed to my delight it was on one off those ?bogof? offers. So I picked up two (one of each colour and went on with my shopping. When it came time to take a shower I opened both bottles to take a sniff to see what they smelt like. The green one smelt to me a bit like shaving foam quite strong and soapy. The blue one was very similar but just a tiny bit fruitier. I choose to use the blue one first. I gave the bottle a good shake. The whole thing then just became the same colour as the top liqiud was before I started. I then poured a little onto my sponge it did seem a little runny not quite as thick as my usual brand. It lathered up very well and was quite pleasant to use. It seemed to rinse easily from my skin and left me feeling quite fresh and clean. My skin after I?d finished felt quite ni
ce soft and smooth. I must say I quite liked this product and would recommend it to any one. The only problem I can see if you might one day be in a hurry and forget to shake the bottle. I haven?t had that happen to me yet. But can see it in the future.
