Matey bubble bath has been around for as long as I can remember.
In Fact it was first produced in 1958.

So What’s So Good About Matey?
= = = = = = = = == = = = = = = = = =

Well Matey is designed especially for children, its eye catching bottle designs come in the following styles:

Sailor Matey (Boys)
The Captain of HMS Matey

Mer-Matey (Girls)
The golden haired mermaid

Lucky (Either)
The pirate parrot

Doc-Topus (either)
Colour change bubble bath

The actual bottles are very attractive and most children will want to collect the entire set to keep.
Also from time to time there are special edition bottles for example at Christmas there has been a fairy and an elf.

What Makes Matey different?

Well Matey is one of the few readily available bubble baths that is suitable for people with sensitive skin and this is not just a claim as I knew someone with a daughter who had terrible eczema from being a baby and the only bubble bath that she has ever been able to tolerate is Matey.

Bath Time

The particular Matey I have in at the moment is sailor Matey, simply pour 2-4 capfuls under your running bath water and you get a bath bursting with bubbles and the good thing is these bubbles stay throughout the bath.

The actual colour of this one is a very pale blue, but they do come in pink and yellow too.
Smell wise it is very difficult to explain, it is more like a very mild soap smell than a particular perfume, very pleasant and very clean smelling and in no way overpowering.

I have found that it really does leave your skin feeling fresh and soft and fully cleansed, as yes I do use it as I often find the strong perfumed brands too harsh on my skin and they often dry your face and body out rather than moisturise it.

Who Can Use it?
= = = = = = = = =

Well absolutely anyone, it is suitable from 1 year onwards, the one thing I would say is that if you do have skin problems, use a small amount diluted on a test area before jumping into a bath full of it as it may still affect certain conditions.

As well as the bubble bath, Matey now has various other items in the range to use along side it, these are:

 Squirty Starfish Fun Wash

Similar to the bubble bath, however this is for use in the bath or shower and this item is soap free altogether so you can use it in your bath without killing your lovely bubbles!

 Dolphin Shampoo

Mild and caring this will leave your hair tangle free and smelling really fresh, again very mild.

 Diver Hand wash

Not as mild as this soap is anti bacterial, however the idea here is to encourage little ones to wash their hands and be germ free.

All of the products above again come in the fancy bottles I mentioned earlier, they have changed the sailor one from how I remember it years ago, when it was in fact the only one available, it is now more of a cartoon figure and it has a label for the bottle decoration as oppose to the whole bottle being made as a sailor, oh well things never stay the same do they and guess it would cost too much nowadays.

 Matey Facts:

1.Mild and gentle.
2.Dermatologically tested
3.Kind to sensitive skin.
4.Added moisturisers from sea weed extracts.
5.PH balanced.

However here are the ingredients from this particular bottle, quite a horrific catalogue of them too!

Aqua,sodium loreth sulphate, Cocomidophryl Betane,
Sodium Chloride, Glycerin,
Sodium Lactate, Hypnia Musciformis,
Gellideila Acerosa, SargassumFilipendula,
Chondrus Crispus, Parfum,Citric Acid,
Tetrasodium EDTA, B
enzoic Acid,
Methylchloroisothiazolinone,
Methylisothiazolinone, Denatonium Benzoate,
C1 42090,C1 17200.

So as you can see for a mild bubble bath it has a lot of ingredients, most of which I could hardly pronounce let alone tell you what they are!.

A 500ml bottle of Matey from Superdrug will cost you £1.99; this provides around 30 baths, so not bad value at all.

It is made in the UK for Sara Lee, a well-known household name.

If you want information on any of the products I’ve told you about or fancy playing a few games then you can visit www.matey.co.uk for a bit of pre bath time fun.
