“ Brand: N-Spa / Type: Shower Gel / Suitable for: Body „
I got this in part of a gift set for Christmas off a friend and I am still using it now. The great thing about it is the size. It is quite a big bottle for shower gel. however the hole where the gel comes out is quite small so I always end up squashing the bottle when I am in the shower. I agree it smells so edible and I have had coconut ice cream and they have this down to a T. It does create a good thick creamy lather in the shower too but it does not last long so I have to put a few squirts on my flannel or sponge. The smell does not linger on my skin like some shower gels do which I am a little gutted about but hey ho. It also does not make the areas surrounding the bathroom smell nice either which is also a shame. As a bath gel however its great. It creates lots of bubbles that last a fair while and I have also found that if I use this instead of shaving foam my legs are left feeling ultra smooth.
I'm a sucker for lotions and potions in fancy looking packaging so it's no surprise that this product ended up in my basket on a recent trip to ASDA. I'm forever buying shower gels and bath scrubs that never get used and end up sticky and out of date in the back of the cupboard but I just cannot resist buying new products especially when the name of the product sounds as delicious as this one does! My n-spa shower and bath gel came in a plastic bottle with a black screw top lid which keeps the shower gel from drying up. Getting the gel out of the bottle is quite hard when the bottle is full up as it is quite heavy but the thin hole stops the gel from spilling out too much! The bottle is simple and has black block writing on there which says 'coconut ice cream bath and shower gel' and has a funny story on there about a man. The stories are unique to the n-spa range and there is a different story on each of the n-spa products. Due to this being a bath and shower gel there are 2 ways to use the product you can apply it to towel dried skin to moisturise and nourish your skin or you can use it in the same way that you would use bubble bath: add some gel to under the warm running water. If you apply it to damp skin the gel takes a while to sink in properly so you feel greasy for a while but once it is absorbed it smells delicious and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. I usually use my gel as bath soak and put it under warm running water. This leaves my bath a milky colour and rich texture with a few soft bubbles. The smell is out of this world it is not so much coconut but smells exactly how coconut icecream would smell: very sweet with a hint of coconut which is so lovely and fresh and really makes my whole bathroom smell gorgeous when I have used it. I do have somewhat sensitive skin and am happy to report that this didn't irritate my skin in any way! I paid around £3 for this product from Asda and will definitely have to use the product again!
I bought this whilst looking for a bathtime treat recently as I thought it looked really thick and gloopy. I also was really smitten by the name of the product, 'Coconut Ice Cream' as it sounded good enough to eat! This is one of N Spa's Fruit Shower and Bath Gel products which are all designed to smell like fruity desserts and it's definitely my favourite of the range. The product I purchased was a smaller variety of the bottled gel. My bottle is a verified travel friendly sized bottle and contains only 100mls o 3.38 fl.oz of gel. It comes with a sturdy flip lid which seals the dispensing hole up very well (good for travelling with) but is just as easy to open because it has a large lip on the edge. You can also screw the whole top off if you want to use a large quantity of the gel at once. The label on the N Spa gel is printed with a delightful little story about a wise man who asks baffling questions about the world around him. The story on the bottle is different for each variety of N Spa gel and on the coconut essence gel the sage is captivated by the water inside of a coconut which is apparantly created by a sea maiden who grants wishes. I love reading the story on the front of the bottle as it's like a fairytale and it is relaxing and enchanting. It makes you believe that the gel is really something special. Directions for use are printed on the back of the bottle. You can apply to your wet body and massage or just pour into warm running water. You can also be greedy and do both! This way you can nestle in a lot of frothy bubbles and also feel the silky smooth gel close to your skin. The gel lathers up very well and creates a thick, milkshake style bubble foam which just feels like heaven to me! It makes me feel like I want to envelop myself in the water and the bubble ridges. You can get a great long bath out of the bubbles too - they don't all pop quickly. The fragrance of the gel is wonderful and there is a hint of a milky flavour which lends itself to the 'ice cream' moniker. I also smell hints of nougart and cake. It's a coconut fragrance that has been diluted with a more sugary aroma. It's more of an indulgence food smell than a fresh, fruity cocktail kind of smell. I personally love the fragrance and feel like I'm in pudding heaven when I smell it! I am constantly having to remind myself to read the warning on the bottle which says "do not eat, this is not a food product"! The Coconut Ice Cream gel leaves a lasting fragrance on your skin and it also softens my skin and makes me feel really clean and renewed. Having a bath with this gel is the perfect tonic to make me feel good in the morning or the afternoon. I recommend this gel to anyone, man or woman as I think the fragrance is not sex-specific. As I say it is my favourite out of the N Spa Fruit range. I bought this bottle for £1 from Asda but next time I will buy the larger bottle as I feel it's better value. See the whole range of Fruit shower gels at the website: www.nirvanaspa.co.uk
Introduction ~~~~~~~~ If you've read my other reviews you'd know there's two things I love, trying new bath and shower creams and a bargain so when in my local Asda I noticed this cream on offer for £2.00 instead of £3.00 for a 500ml bottle which was nice and chunky with a lovely smell so I couldn't wait to try it out. The Product ~~~~~~~ The bottle like I said was big and chunky so it was kind of hard to get a grip when it was wet and kept slipping out of my soapy fingers, when I finally managed to grab it and pop the lid which was quite difficult to open the consistency although thick and creamy poured out very fast and before I knew it had poured over the side of my sponge. Despite having loads on my sponge it didn't really lather up very well and didn't leave my skin soft or refreshed more dry and unclean to be honest. Initially the coconut smell was divine with to me a little hint of vanilla thrown in with a pearly white colour but after a while in became overpowering and sickly and was glad it didn't leave a lasting smell on my skin because I think I would of felt sick for the rest of the day. The Final Word ~~~~~~~~~ Although initially it had a gorgeous smell and seemed it was going to be nice on my skin I was a bit disappointed to realise it wasn't. So it wasn't really worth the £3.00 tag so I'm glad it was on offer, alright for a try but wouldn't use it all the time.
First off I must point out that a while ago I asked for the link of N-Spa Caribbean Coconut 'Crush On You' shower and bath gel and I was given the link to here instead. Whether this is the same product as N-Spa Coconut Ice-Cream shower and bath gel I am not sure to be honest however I have never seen the Ice-Cream version of this and I bought this in Asda at a special offer price of £1.00 a bottle instead of around the two pound mark. The Packaging: The bottle is see-through and squeezy plastic with an on/off black plastic screw on/off cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle there is a Caribbean beach scene photograph and on there in black and white writing we are told that it is N-Spa Caribbean Coconut 'Crush On You' Shower And Bath Gel and that the bottle I own holds 500ml of the product (and the only size I have ever seen this spotted in available to buy). On the back of the bottle the information is well and neatly laid out and we are told a bit about the product and how to use it, warnings and ingredients are listed and contact details for Nirvana Spa (The manufacturer of the product) are given. It's a nice enough, unisex bottle and I do like being able to see the product through the bottle so I can see when (if) it needs replacing too! A Bit About The Product According To The Information Listed On The Back Of The Bottle: Take the simple pleasure of the fruit, add the wisdom of Nirvana, make time in your day and turn your bathroom into a blissful spa. Using It: Well you can use this as a shower or bath gel of course or as a bubble bath...however you prefer to really! The liquid is white and rather thin with a slight sheen to it. When I tipped some in my bath I was very surprised at first just how thin the consistency of it was and that it flew out of the bottle fast! However as a bubble bath and to create those talked about bubbles I did need rather alot of it! However after I used about a quarter of a bottle on one bath I did get rather a lot of foam which is my required amount anyway and that lasted a good hour or so whilst I lazily soaked within it! As a bath and shower gel this doesn't lather up brilliantly at all and once again I did find I needed to use rather a lot of it to get clean with though it felt smooth enough without being greasy and more like I was applying a cream in its feeling than a gel. Fragrance wise well this is rather gorgeous, unisex and smells quite simply of sweet but natural coconuts. I have to admit to when using this getting a relaxing sort of tropical feeling and the fragrance really is lovely and uplifting. This is kind enough to skin, rinses off with real ease and whilst in use (bath or shower) smells fabulous and makes me long to visit far away shores however though I feel clean enough and my skin feels healthily smooth sadly the fragrance leaves me almost as soon as I have dried my body and I need to use simply loads of it to get enough lather to shave my bits and bobs with! An ok, every-day product but it really is nothing to rave about really!
About a week ago my mom came home - yet again - armed with about 50 N-Spa products and sets for us both to try out because we bought some nto long ago and loved them. Ive been working my way through them over the last few weeks and so I thought Id share my opinions with you. This one I have to admit wouldnt have been something Id chose for myself, mainly as I dont normally like coconut scented products but I thought Id give this 'N-Spa Coconut Ice Cream Shower Gel' a go and I think Ive surprised even myself by how brilliant it is - could this convert me to a coconut lover? Useful Information: Price: 500ml bottle - £4.50 Stockists: ASDA & The Nirvana Spa website. Other Info: This bath syrup is available in MANY other scents - Gingerbread Latte, Angel Cake, Vanilla Creme Brulee & Hot Butter Fudge- just to name a few. So I think everyone will be able to find a flavour to suit their tastes from this range - and I think they all cost the same amount. This product comes in a small 100ml bottle [the one I own is 100ml as I got it as part of a set] which is totally transparent through which you can clearly see the product inside - which is a bright white colour and appears to be very creamy and thick which usually means it will be very moisturising - in my experience. At the top of the bottle is a small black cap that can be flipped open and shut OR taken off all together if you want to get more out of the bottle quicker - I prefer to do it the first way though as you dont waste any using it like that. On the front and back of the bottle is all the information you could need - directions for use, shelf life, ingredients etc and there is also an email address and street address to write to should you any more questions on the product. The thing I like about the little bottle I own is that it is travel suitable so if your going on holiday soon and going by plane these products might be good for you as you can take them without worrying about them exploding!! To use this product is really simple as its the same way you'd use ay bubble bath - simply pour a small amount into warm water OR underneath the tap whilst its running and then your bath should be filled with thousands of bubbles and a gorgeous scent. Or you can use this as a normal shower gel - lather it up and then wash yourself from head to toe with this - I started using this as a quick fix shower gel as I didnt think Id enjoy the scent at all but now ahving tried it both ways I reckon they are both the same - and you can use it for reasons if you really adore the smell of this. This does produce tonnes of bubbles in the water when your using it in the bath, however because of the thickness of the gel it doesnt lather up as quickly as other shower gels Ive used from this range - the lather of this one just doesnt compete. Now the water does start to feel slightly greasy if you just dip your hand in but I havent found that, that transfers to your skin - its just not the most pleasant feeling. It actually does make skin feel pretty amazing when youve got out and dried off. The scent was the one thing about this gel that I thought I would hate. Coconut scents just arent my thing and I cannot remember the last time [before this one] that I liked that type of scented product. This one smells like proper coconut ice that my mom makes rather than the synthetic fragrance I think of when it comes to this type of product. The smell is much more pleasant that I expected and it has convinced me to try more coconut products so it has converted me a little bit! The scent lasts for the whole time your in the bath and then does linger on your skin afterwards for ages so the smell certainly sticks around. Its a coconut scented product for people who dont like coconut smells! It is gorgeous. Now the results of this are good, just not as good as some others from the range - or as good as I was expecting. As the 'gel' was so creamy I assumed this would be intensely nourishing but my skin didnt feel THAT great, smooth or soft after Id used this. It does make skin look/feel better to an extent dont get me wrong BUT not as fabulous as my skin normally feels after using N-Spa items. 4*'s for this one - its nice but not one of the best. Thanks For Reading. x0 Salz 0x
I'm the kind of person that has a long soak in the bath everyday, I love my baths but not for just relaxing but it's also the only time I'm relevantly pain free as the hot bath water helps ease the pain in my knees. Normally I love anything fruity and tend to go for strawberry, raspberry or orange bubble bath from the Body Shop. However I have now found a new love, COCONUT! N-Spa Coconut Ice Cream Shower and Bath Gel: "I am told, said the wise man, that the sweet water inside the coconut is created by a sea maiden... as its beautiful scent touches your nose, her soft music and laughter surrounds you. Take her hand follow her... I am told she makes dreams come true" I like the quirky little sentence which is wrote on the front of this bottle, I find is sweet however talking to some friends they don't see the point in it. That being said I think it's very cute, also like the 'Treacle Moon' collection where they also put little quotes/sentences on their items. My Findings: This is my second bottle of Coconut Ice Cream shower and bath gel by N-Spa now as I absolutely adore it! When I first came across this in Asda I had never heard of N-Spa before there was a huge verity to pick from but after lifting the lids and having a smell I couldn't put the Coconut Ice Cream one down. I'm a person that likes to try things straight away so I couldn't wait to give this a go, soon as I was back home I had the bath water running and poured a little of the gel under the running water. The aroma from the Coconut Ice Cream gel hits you instantly and fills the whole bathroom up with the smell of coconut. (A sheer Bounty must have moment!) You get a good amount of bubbles and the water depending on how much you pour in your bath doesn't change the colour of the water to much, just goes a little cloudy. The water feels extremely soft and smooth on your skin giving you the feel of luxury in your bath. Normally I like to read my book while in the bath but as I was so relaxed I just wanted to lay there and before I knew it my water was going cold! When leaving the bath and drying off with my fluffy towel my skin smelt and felt wonderful, it felt like I had already moisturised my skin; clean and fresh. The smell lingers in the bathroom for some time too, and does last a little while on your skin but sadly soon fades away; that's where the coconut moisturiser comes in handy! This as you can guess can also be used in the shower; I tend to go swimming on the weekends and also in the week if I have the time. But I hate the smell and feel the swimming baths leaves on your skin so in my pearls on wisdom I also purchased the small travel sized bottle of the Coconut Ice Cream gel for such occasions. I put about a 10p sized blob on my body scrunchy and started to rub down my skin it lathered up very well and was able to clean all over from just that one blob. My friend who was with me also used my gel and loved the effects it gave too; again my skin smelt wonderful and felt great. The N-Spa Fruit Range: Shower and Bath Gel Blueberry Cream Pie Coconut Ice Cream Raspberry Milkshake Vanilla Crème Brulee Lemon Soufflé Apple Mint Crunch They also do just for the bath or just for shower and have the matching body cream for most of the body washes. How to Use: I'm guessing everyone shall know this part? Apply to wet body and gently massage and rise, or for the bath pour into running water then relax. Price and Availability: So far I have only seen this is Asda the first bottle I purchased cost £2.98 and the second time it was on special offer for only £2.00 this was for the 500ml bottle. The travel size bottle can also be purchased for £1.00 very handy for swimming baths, or a weekend away. You can also purchase N-Spa products from their web site http://www.nirvanaspa.co.uk/dmgshop/products_list.asp?id=96 Overall: I very happy that I came across this product one 500ml bottle will last for just under one month which is excellent value for the results you get. Once this bottle has been used up I wouldn't hesitate to buy another but I'm guessing its time to give any flavour a go! I would recommend this product is your a fan of coconuts, it smells go enough to eat, very relaxing when in the bath and leaves your skin smelling and feeling great! A big five out of five stars from me! Thanks for reading :o) Additional Information: The N-Spa range is not tested on animals and the bottle can be recycled after use. To start with this product does NOT look like the product pictured, above the body cream is shown. This is a large 500ml bottle of shower and bath gel. I went to Asda to buy some, along with my weekly shop and I always just grab what ever is on offer at a pound but this time I looked a bit more closely as these were on offer at £2.00. Because of their size they ended up being even more of a bargain that the one pound bottles. Best part is that these smelt better too! There is a range of several scents I opted for this one Coconut Ice Cream and also the Lemon Souffle version. This has a gorgeous and very sweet scent that I liked at the time but now it is a little bit sickly where I have used it a few times. It certainly doesn't just smell of coconut it has a very creamy smell mixed in and also a hint of vanilla I would think. The bottle has a flip top lid and is easy to use. Unfortunately where this is normal bottle I will have to leave it standing on the lid when I get down near the end. Not a problem ut if it was made with a larger lid this would be easier. The scent does fill m flat after it ha been used but notas strongle as I find the lemon one does. Tis is a reasonably thick white gel that washes well but doesn't give much of a foam. My skin is always left feeling clean and smooth after. I don't need much of this to wash with, a little tends to go a pretty long way. At the price this is a bargain and I will buy from the range again but I wont be bothering with this one again just because the scent is a little bit sickly. I am going to give it four stars though as I am very pleased with the product over all. If you like coconut then give it a sniff, even at full price it is worth buying.
I was getting low on shower gel and couldn't afford to go on a shopping spree in Lush so decided to have a look around Asda while I was in there. Nothing realy appealed to me until I saw this bottle. It was made even better by being on offer at £2 for the 500ml bottle. It can be bought at the nspa fruits website for £3.50 if you can't find it in your local store. The bottle is clear and shows the white product inside it. The front has a label with black writing and the n-spa fruits logo on it and the back has the ingredients and directions for use. You can either use it as a shower gel or pour it into running water and use it as a bubble bath. The label says that it will create a bath filled with bubbles. I don't have a bath so I cannot test whether this is true or not. N-spa fruits is a range of fruit body scrubs, shower and bath gels made by Nirvana Spa. The fruity fragrances are meant to tantalise the senses, and revive the mind and body. Most of the range is in bright colours to enhance your mood. The coconut range comes in shower/bath gel, body scrub and body cream. N-spa describe the product as "a creamy blend of rich toffee and soft vanilla combine with the peaceful and harmonious shade of timeless white." I had a sniff of the product while I was still in Asda and it smells gorgeous. A little bit of this shower gel goes a long way as it lathers up really really well. I was surprised at how many bubbles came out of a small amount poured onto a body puff. It made me wish I had a bath to test it in. It is quite a nice consistency and is not too runny. The smell stays on your skin for a while but not ages like my normal Lush products. It does make your bathroom smell nice though.
I am not really sure what attracted me to this bath foam as it is only a plain basic white colour, maybe the fact that it was coconut and to me it always remind me of one of my favourite chocolate bars, Bounty! The ice cream part of the title really did not appeal to me as I am not a fan of this but after smelling the bath foam I definitely had to give it a go. ~~THE BOTTLE~~ The bath and Shower gel comes in a clear cylindrical bottle which has the product name at the top in black letting and the n-spa logo on the bottom. The back of the bottle has a label which has all the product information which you will need. On the front label there is a lovely saying which I will include as I found it to be a very good little read. 'I am told said the wise man, that the sweet water inside the coconut is created by a sea maiden...as its beautiful scent touches your nose, her soft music and laughter surrounds you. Take her hand and follow her...I am told she makes dreams come true.' The bottle is clear which makes it very easy to see the coloured bath and shower gel and how much of it you have left. The top of the bottle has a black plastic flip lid which makes for easy use when using this in the shower and it means the top of the bottle is left clean and none of the gel runs down the outside of the bottle. ~~USE AND RESULTS~~ I am not a fan of showers so for me this is used as a bath foam. I always squeeze a generous amount of the gel under the running tap. The gel is very think and this does remind me of the consistency of hair conditioner. It is white in colour and is clearly visible when it falls into the bath water. The gel does make a nice good light foam which does actually last for quite some time. The smell of this bath and shower gel is absolutely lovely. It always reminds me of the Bounty chocolate bar and for me I just love it. It is easy to smell when you lift the lid on the bottle and when this is used as a bath foam the smell does linger in the bathroom for a good length of time. The smell is not overpowering at all. I did notice that it stayed on my skin for a short time after getting out of the bath and drying off which was a lovely treat. To use this as a shower gel then it is to be massaged into wet skin and then rinsed off. I cannot make comment on the lasting effects on the gel after using it this way as I have not. The bath foam did not dry out my skin and it did leave it feeling lovely and soft. Hubby, who has sensitive skin has also used this as a bath foam and it has not affected him in any way. ~~INFO~~ The bath and shower gel comes in a good sized bottle which contains 500ml. I find that the bottle lasts me well over two months as I have sop many others on the go at the same time. I would estimate that using this daily with a generous amount each time would see you getting a good 3 weeks worth of baths or showers. The ingredients of this bath and shower gel for those who wish to know are:- Aqua, sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Bethaine, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin Parfum, Styrene / Acrylates, Copolymer, Glycol, Distearate, Cocamide MEA, Laureth-10, Methylchloroisothiazolinone,Methylisothiazolinone, Polyquarternium-7, Mathylparaben, Coumarn, Trideceth-7, Sodium Kauryl Sulfate, Denatonium Benzoate, Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Nitrate, Magnesium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide. I paid £2.98 for my bottle from Tesco which I felt to be a great price as the bottle does last me for such a long time. It is available in Asda as well and they do sometimes have this on offer with 2 bottles for £5. ~~OVERALL~~ I really do rate this bath and shower gel highly. The smell is just wonderful and reminds me of chocolate and it last a good long time giving you a nice smelling and relaxing soak. I would say this is suitable for both men and women. If you would like any further information on this or any bath and shower gel in the N-Spa range then please check out www.nirvanaspa.co.uk
