“ Brand: N-Spa / Texture: Cream / Type: Butter / What it does: Enricheses „
The other day I was browsing in Asda with nothing in mind really to buy when I spotted the N-Spa range had a load of products on offer for a pound. This actually wasn't on offer and cost me the usual £2.00 it normally does however I grabbed a few of the pounds ones as well but really liked the scent of this and thiough I'd treat myself...why not eh? lol. The Packaging: This shower cream comes in a see-through plastic tube that holds 225ml of the product and it has a black plastic flip top opening to the bottom of it which concels a small hole. On the front of it in black lettering (mainly) we are told that it is N-Spa Fruit, 'Super Fruity' Ruby Orange & Mango Butter Shower Sorbet and that it is a double moisture shower cream & body wash and the size is stated (as I have listed already). On the back of the tube other information listed includes being told told a bit about the product and how to use it, warnings are given as are the ingredients and contact details for the manufacturer are listed. Nice enough and informative packaging this is an easy to squeeze the product out of and so on! The Product: Well this product is light orange in colour and mainly has a lovely, sweet, exotic fragance of mangos to it though I can't really smell the orange thats meant to be in but I do guess it has a kind of zingy freshness to it. I don't find that I need very much of this per wash and that the consistency of this is smooth and creamy and of course with no bits in it. It lathers up easily giving off a nice white, rich foam and rinses off easily too. I can even shave my bits and pieces with this if I want to as it gives off such a nice lather. This leaves my skin clean, smooth and fresh feeling for hours along with a subtle hint of the fragrance of it. Its a gentle moisturising product so doesn't leave any residue on my skin however I do feel for people with very dry skin (not me!) that this on its own won't be moisturising enough however for me and my needs this is perfect adding a little moisture to my skin. All in all I haven't been all that thrilled with N-Spa products in the past and feel that they on the whole are a bit over rated however this one is really lovely and I will buy it again in the future however this tube will last me ages as its such a big tube and I don't need very much per application! Available from Asda stores and Google if interested!
I received this shower cream as a gift from my mum for Christmas 2010. She likes to still buy us lots of little treats even though me and my siblings are now all adults. I think she probably picked this one for me knowing how dry my skin is as it says on the packaging that it is a double moisture shower cream and body wash. I am guessing she bought this from Asda alongside her shopping. I see looking on Asda's website that this is available for £2 for a 225ml tube of wash. I don't use this every time I have a shower as I like the fruity smell when I am showering in the day or morning, but prefer less scented body washes and to have a bath in an evening. I have found a small amount of this wash foams up really nicely so the tube has lasted me a really long time. The wash is contained in a flip top transparent tube. The wash is a bright yellowy/orange colour. It is really thick and it is easy to get only a small amount of the wash out of the tube. The scent is really fruity. I find that I can smell the mango more than the orange scent. The lather leaves my skin feeling clean and I really like using it. I don't feel that my skin retains the scent after washing, and it also still looks dry when I have got out and dried. I do have really exceptionally dry skin however, so if your skin type is more normal than mine you should not find it drying. It certainly does not make my skin any drier than before my shower. I think this wash is very good value. This has lasted me a long time, and has always been a pleasure to use. I haven't tried any of the other washes in the range, but I would love to if this one is anything to go by. There is nothing I don't like about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Get 'em in Asda! ~~~~~~~~~~~ I have recently started buying my shopping online at Asda and have taken the opportunity to try out a fair few N-Spa products. The range is available either from N-Spa's own website or from Asda and the products are always cheaper from Asda so my first piece of advice is to buy them from Asda and not direct from N-Spa! I have reviewed all of my N-Spa purchases so far, and by far my fave of the bunch was the Tropical Lime and Coconut Cream Shower Sorbet. As I like this product so much I decided to try out another in the Shower Sorbet range, which also includes Hawaiain Ginger and Sweet Honey, Pomegranate and Buttermilk, Velvet Plum and Pannacotta, and the one I am reviewing here, Ruby Orange and Mango Butter. This 225ml tube is currently retailing on the Asda website for £2.50 and - as if to prove my point above - on the N-Spa website for £3.50. The product promises to offer your skin double moisturisation with no extra effort. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bright and cheerful ~~~~~~~~~~~~ As with all N-Spa products, the shower cream comes packaged in see-through plastic with black writing. The packaging is pretty decent for the price, I think, and the range looks good on the bathroom shelf. The bright colours make the range very appealing and this one is no exception. A bright, creamy looking orange shade, this is definitely a cheerful addition to my shower! It comes in a squeezy tube that sits on its black flip-top lid. I love both orange and mango scented products, and I had good experiences with the coconut version of this cream, so I was very keen to try this out when the Asda man dropped it off for me with my groceries. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Thick and creamy ~~~~~~~~~~~ Squeezing this out of the tube, it is a very thick cream and is almost more like the texture of a moisturiser than a body wash. As I mentioned, it's a bright orange colour and it looks quite different to other shower products I've used. Applying this to the skin, it lathers up almost instantly which is good considering it is such a rich cream, and it straight away feels as though it's moisturising the skin. And the smell is delicious, especially if you are an orange lover as this is definitely the over-riding scent of the body wash. You know when someone near you is peeling an orange and you can detect it almost straight away? That is what this is like - a very authentic fruity fragrance! The mango is also discernible as well but this is definitely secondary to the orange and actually tones down the orange a little bit. To me, as a lover of fruit scented products, this is the perfectly scented shower product for me and I do really love the smell. It's sweet, refreshing and zingy, and is a lovely wake-up call when you're bleary eyed in the shower in the morning. ~~~~~~~~~~ Super-soft skin ~~~~~~~~~~ After showering, as promised, skin does feel very soft and smooth and well moisturised - more so than with most shower products. For the price I think it's very impressive that this does deliver the promised moisture-boost to the skin! I personally can't skip the moisturiser as it's unheard of for me not to moisturise from head to toe after a shower, but I do genuinely think you could skip the cream if you are in a hurry or can't be bothered - or indeed don't usually use a moisturiser - as this does leave skin feeling so soft. My only complaint is that the scent doesn't linger very much after my shower - however, as I apply moisturiser anyway this doesn't matter too much, and is probably better than it clashing with my other products! ~~~~~~~~~ The verdict ... ~~~~~~~~~ Overall I think this is a very good product and as it is also so well priced I have to award it five stars. Of all the N-Spa range I have to highly recommend the double moisture shower creams - or at least the two of them that I have tried - as I have found them to have lovely, fun fragrances and to really moisturise the skin very well. Highly recommended!
On a recent shopping trip, well an excuse to get out of the house and have some time off from the boys! I found another new body wash and shower sorbet so I decided I just had to try it and add it to my collection. As with the other ones I have tried this was excellent and ticked all the boxes. ~~PACKAGING~~ The shower sorbet or body wash comes is a plastic tube, this is clear so you can see the orange coloured liquid inside and handy so you know just how much you have left. There is thick black writing on the front with the product name and the N-spa logo. The back of the tube has all of the product information and directions for use. ~~USE AND RESULTS~~ It is very simple to use this body wash. You can either squeeze it onto your hands and massage into your body or use it on a flannel or shower puff. It depends on how you use it to the amount of lather you get. There is more lather therefore the body wash goes further when using on a shower puff ad I find this helps to get more of the fragrance as well. The body wash is very easy to get out of the tube as there s a black flip lid on the bottom, placing it on the bottom is a good design as it means it is always there ready to dispense and you don't have to wait ages for it to run down the tube and come out. It is easy to use with one hand of you are squeezing it into the other hand as the lid does need closing between uses otherwise it will run out. The smell is apparent when you open the lid and it is lovely. I am instantly reminded of fresh and ripe tangerines and for some reason this reminds me of Christmas as this is the only time I really eat them. It is not overly strong but there is enough scent to get it notice and entice you to buy it. The smell does intensify when it is being used and as I said before the smell is stronger with the more lather you make. Once I have covered my body and then rinsed the wash off I was still able to smell the body wash and it was very pleasant. Once fully dried off the fragrance is still noticeable and it is not overly strong to make this only appeal to the female market. My skin after use was lovely soft and looked very moisturised. I have not suffered from any drying of the skin from using it and hubby has not had any reaction with his sensitive skin. The body wash is of a good consistency, I was expecting it to be thick but it is actually quite runny and if you are not careful or squeeze too mush into your hand then it will run off. I have noticed that when this happened when I first started using the body wash I was left with a small amount of orange residue in the bottom of the bath after use but this was very easy to wipe away and did not stain. ~~INFO~~ The body wash or shower sorbet comes in a good sized tube which is 225ml. This for me lasts for ages as I have a large number of other shower and bath gels on the go at the same time. I would say that with almost daily use then this would last for about 3 weeks. The product has been made in the UK and the packaging is fully recyclable, it has not been tested on animals and once opened it has a shelf life of 24 months. The ingredients for those wishing to know are:- Aqua, Sodium Laureth, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum, PEG-18 Glyceryl Oleate/Cocoate, Glycerin, Urea, Vaccinium, Macrocarpon Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Hexylene Glycol, Guar, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Benzophenobe-1, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Nitrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, Limonene, CI 17200, CI 19140 There are some warnings on the pack which are really just common sense and they include, not eating the product, avoiding contact with eyes, keep out or reach of children and to store in a cool dry place. ~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~ I bought my body wash from Asda and it was priced at £2. Tesco are currently expanding their N-Spa range but they don't currently stock this one. I felt the price tag was excellent considering the results this gives and the amount of time the tube lasts. ~~RECOMMENDED?~~ I am giving this product the full 5 stars despite being a little too runny. It smells wonderful and the smell lasts and the cleansing and moisturised feeling it gives is great. I recommend you all try this for the low price tag.
