A couple of Christmases ago I received a Natural Collection gift set from Boots as a present. The set consisted of a 200ml tube of Passionfruit Body Lotion and a 200ml tube of Passionfruit Shower Gel. However, I've had so many toiletries to use up that I've only recently got around to using them! This review will look at my experience with the Passionfruit Shower Gel.
I used to use the Natural Collection range a lot as a teenager, but have never really bothered as an adult. The packaging seems very similar to how it used to be: the shower gel, which is a lovely deep purple colour, comes in a clear plastic tube which stands on a black flip-top lid (making it easier to open in the shower). The clear label has a bright abstract floral pattern which is modern and attractive. Looking on the Boots website, I can see that the packaging has changed and the shower gel now comes in a clear plastic bottle with a hook for hanging up, which I think is more practical. The label design remains the same, however.
The packaging states: "Get glowing with the reviving and energising scent of Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel that lathers skin leaving it cleansed and refreshed". I do think this product has a lovely smell: it is fruity and pleasant, if slightly artificial, and very refreshing to use.
I always wash with a shower puff and find that this shower gel is easy to lather up. The flip top tube is easy to use, too, and because it stands on its end the gel all goes to the bottom so it is easier to get the product out. I use a lot of Lush and Body Shop shower gels, which don't require much product to get a good lather, and find that I do need to use more of this product per use, however this is normal for shower gels in this price range.
The shower gel is pleasant to use and doesn't seem to actively dry my skin out, though unfortunately it seems to irritate the eczema on my hands (it doesn't cause eczema anywhere else, though, which is good). I don't use it every day for this reason.
At only £2 per tube, this shower gel is great value for money. Boots often has offers such as 3 for 2 which make it an even better bargain.
This is a nice shower gel which smells lovely and looks great in the bathroom. I have deducted a star because it irritates my eczema, and I probably wouldn't buy it again for this reason. However, if you don't suffer from skin problems I recommend this product.
Recently I have got very bored with the usual branded shower gels and well, toiletries that I tend buy in general. I usually opt for Imperial Leather or Radox but to be honest have now tried every fragrance going I think and so recently when I was on my local Boots store I decided to stock up on a few shower gels that I hadn't tried before, this being one of them.
This 200ml bottle cost me £2.03 though at the time of me submitting this review it is on offer with buy any two products get another one free, which is of course what I did as I love a bargain!
As I have already noted the bottle holds 200ml of the purply coloured product in a see through plastic bottle with a hanging function to one end and a flip top opening to the other. On the front of the bottle there is a photograph of the passionfruit/flower and we are told that it is Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel and then on the back of the bottle the size is stated, the ingredients are given and contact details for Boots are listed. This is a nice enough looking bottle this one and functional as well as being informative enough and I guess it is suitable for both men and women to use on the appearance of it alone!
The Shower gel:
Well the gel isn't too runny but easy to squeeze out of the tube and is purple and transparent in colour. It has a really naturally sweet fragrance of passionfruit to it which is juicy and rich and you really don't need much of this per wash to get a nice white lather going on and the fragrance too!
I use this in the shower and in bath, shave my bits and pieces with it and it feels nice, gentle and soft in use it rinses off with real ease and leaves me feeling fresh and clean and slightly fragranced for no more than an hour or so which is a little disappointing but does make it a unisex product in my humble opinion. On the upside though it is gentle enough even on my very sensitive skin and although doesn't overly moisturise it or anything, it doesn't dry my skin out either.
A nice buy, nothing extraordinary but its ok!

Well what can I say I never knew I had quite so many beauty products until I started reviewing! Christmas and birthday presents soon mount up don't they. This shower gel I had for Christmas in a natural collection gift set my bottle is 75ml trial size one great for taking on weekend's away as they don't take up much room.
The bottle tells you to 'Get glowing with the reviving and energizing scent of passion fruit to leave your skin cleansed and refreshed'
So what do I think...
Well I have used this shower gel a couple of times now I would say you can get 5 or 6 goes out of my little bottle as the liquid is quite thick. The liquid is a purple colour and smells fruity - I assume the smell is passion fruit though I have never actually smelt passion fruit so I could not say for sure though the gel does smell different to other fruits which I have smelt before if that makes sense. You don't need much of this marvelous purple liquid in order to feel clean and refreshed. It leaves your skin smelling lovely for hours after you come out of the shower which is great. Also I feel clean after using it though I can never really say if products do actually make you cleaner than other products because without scientific tests who knows. I feel clean and that's good enough for me.
5 stars it smells great and does a good job of making me feel clean! I have had a look on the Boots website and it cost's £1.99 for the shower gel in style of the picture.
I was fortunate enough to receive lots of lovely gift sets for Christmas and I received a wonderful Natural Collection gift set from my sister which actually has 10 wonderful things in it for me to try including some shower gels, bath fizzers and a giant strawberry soap!
The first shower gel that I have tried from the set is the passionfruit one which is provided in a 100ml plastic bottle which has a black screw top lid, however, if you buy this singly then it comes in a 200ml for just £1.99 with Natural Collection products frequently on 3 for 2 in Boots stores.
The shower gel is lovely and thick so does not pour out too fast and I just use a small amount on a shower puff to produce lots of lather. The smell of this shower gel is very fruity and it has a wonderful girlie scent to it that I just can't quite put my finger on but it's gorgeous nether the less. The bubbles cover my skin well and leave me feeling lovely, clean and fresh afterwards. The bubbles feel quite thick and luxurious and overall I am very impressed with the quality of this shower gel.
My skin can be quite sensitive and this shower gel does not give me any problems at all. I am left with wonderfull soft, smooth, moisturised skin that has a lovely fragrance for at least a few hours after use. I also find that this shower gel leaves my bathroom with a wonderful scent after use and there really is nothing at all to fault about it.
A small bottle of this will go a long way as it's very thick so you only need a small amount. I really enjoyed using this in my shower as it had such a yummy scent to it that was almost edible! The little bottles look funky by the side of the bath and match very well with the rest of the Natural Collections stuff that I received.
I have been very happy with the quality of this shower gel as it's just such a yummy scent and is perfect for my fussy skin. I know some people may see £1.99 as a little pricey for a shower gel but the bigger bottle has a nice handy hook for leaving on the shower rail which is always handy! I will be using this again in the future and I am sure if I see a decent special offer I will be tempted to buy some of the other products in the range whilst browsing in Boots.
I am rating this shower gel 5/5 as it's got a nice, luxurious feel and works perfectly with my skin. The bottle is very cute looking and the price is quite reasonable. The smell is just beautiful and it even leaves my bathroom with a nice fragrance afterwards too so you can't really ask for more than that!
This was in our bathroom, so I thought Id give it a go. I had seen it in Boots for about £1.99, which for me is abit expensive for a shower gel. I usually go for shower gels that are 99p if Im honest. Anyways I gave this a try and absolutely loved it. The smell is definitely the biggest benefit of this shower gel. It smells gorgeous! If you like passionfruit in the first place you will like this, if you dont like passionfruit you will like this.
This shower gel packaging is pretty handy as it has a handle on it, thus you can hang it to in the shower. This is not out of the ordinary of course but is definitely useful especially when your eyes are wet and you looking for somewhere to balance your shower gel and then it falls on your foot...ouch! Having a handle on your shower gel is definitely handy.
As already mentioned this shower gel smells great. The texture of the shower gel is quite thick too so it doesnt just slip away at the sign of a little bit of water. This shower gel gets you clean, makes you smell gorgeous and makes you feel refreshed. What else do you need in a shower gel? The gel spreads quite well thus meaning that you dont need to use a big amount per shower. Alot goes a long way thus I think this shower gel is quality stuff.
As mentioned above, I had seen this around Boots for £1.99, which is OK I guess. It is a really good shower gel and I do usually buy my shower gels for 99p and they seem to do the trick. As im trying to cut down on paying too much on things I dont need to pay too much for, I probably wouldnt buy this, but would love to receive it as a present.
A fabulous shower gel that does it jobs and makes you smell amazing. I would totally recommend it.
With shower gels I have to admit that I have no real brand loyalty. I use a few different ones depending on how I am feeling, and once of these is the "Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel"
"Natural Collection" is a range by Boots the Chemist, so predictably this product is purchased from Boots stores. It is currently priced at £1.95 for a normal shower gel size which I think is very competively priced. These are also generally available in a three for two deal, which makes them even better value.
The reason I use this particular one is because I find the Passionfruit fragrance quite uplifting. This is a great product to wake you up and get you alert in the shower, after a late night.
The offical blurb from the Boots website (Boots.com) is "This is a shower gel, which will leave your skin clean, fresh and cleansed. It has a reviving and energising scent of passionfruit."
It comes in a plastic see through container, and the shower gel itself is dark purple in colour.
The lid is a hook, and is part of a clever design as this hook fits the other end of the shower gel so that it is easily dispensed, and can be hung up in the shower.
A little goes a long way with this product, and to use this you just massage this onto your damp skin to wash yourself and this will lather slightly, then rinse when finished.
You will definately smell the passionfruit fragrance, which I find makes me feel awake and clean. But, it is quite strong it might not be to everyones taste.
As with all shower and bath products, please make sure you avoid any contact with your eyes to avoid irritation.
All technically this could be a unisex prodict, the girly design on the packaging make this product aimed much more at women.
I really like this shower gel, and I use this to make me feel clean and awake, and I use other shower gels to add moisture etc, so this isn't the best all rounder, but it's a great price and is very economical, and if I use this every day it lasts me about a fortnight.
Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel is made by Boots and part of the Natural Collection range of bath and shower products. This is normally sold in bottles of 200ml with black plastic hook style lids that can be used in the shower, the one I've used however was a smaller 100ml size that was part of a gift set as a Xmas present.
This shower gel is a pleasure to use, it smells deliciously of passionfruit, almost good enough to eat! and makes shower/bath time a joyful experience. The product is thick without being too gloopy and is easy to get out of the bottle, it lathers well and produces plenty of gently cleansing bubbles which left my skin feeling soft and smooth.
You dont need much of this stuff to produce a good load of bubbles, I can see the small bottle I have lasting a good few weeks and the larger size bottle lasting a couple of months if you dont use too much of it. I dont know the price of this as I mentioned before this was part of a Xmas present but other shower gels I've seen in Boots are around £2-3 each, pretty good value.
Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel
**WHAT IT DOES**
This is a shower gel, which will leave your skin clean, fresh and cleansed. It has a reviving and energising scent of passionfruit.
It comes in a sturdy waterproof container, which is see-through, so you can see the dark purple shower gel. The lid is very handy as it has a hook so it means you can hang it up in your shower so you can find it easily when needed. The lid is black in colour and you can unscrew it on and off. On the front there is a waterproof label, which has the Natural Collection label, and it tells you what the product is. On this label there is flowers, leaves and hearts which is a nice girlie design.
You don't need to use much of the shower gel as too much will just fall off your skin and be wasted. It takes very little to lather, The texture of the product is that it is quite thick, this may be why little is needed at any one time. The product has a sweet but fruity smell, which I like however everyone's taste will be different.
DIRECTIONS: - Massage product onto damp skin to wash away dirt or grime. Then rinse thoroughly. Make sure to avoid any contact with your eyes as it may sting and cause irritation. If contact occurs rinse thoroughly.
Personally I like this product as it makes my skin feel soft and refreshed after using it. It costs £1.99 and I feel that it is fantastic value for money, as the shower gel would last me roughly about 10 washes. This will vary person to person depending on how much you use in one go. I don't use a lot of the shower gel at any one time. The bottle is very handy as it has the hook for hanging it up, I think this is a great idea.
