I really do love this shower cream from Nivea. It’s undoubtedly one of my all-time favourites. I admit that I'm being a bit on the selfish side selfish with this one as I'm keeping it to myself by putting it in my downstairs shower. It seems to be mainly myself who uses this shower rather than the upstairs over bath shower and therefore I have my own personal supply of this shower cream. I think it might be too highly scented for the men in the house though.
I have always liked Nivea as a brand and I wasn't disappointed when I first purchased this cleansing cream.
Nivea Cashmere Moments feels luxurious. I find that just a little of this goes a very long way. A small blob on a bath sponge will give a great lather so the bottle lasts better than many other shower gels and creams.
I would say that it really does feel silky and smooth and is a pleasure to use.
And I absolutely adore the scent of this one, not only when in the shower but after I have dried and dressed this aroma of orchid blossoms still lingers on my skin even though, owing to skin sensitivity issues, I make sure that I rinse very well. It’s a lovely scent in my opinion and long lasting too which is certainly an added bonus.
As I've mentioned my skin tends to be on the sensitive side but I haven’t had any issues with this shower cream but I rinse well and this probably helps.
I have purchased several bottles of this shower cream and don’t know where they've all been purchased from but here is a guide to availability and the price for a 250ml sized container:
I would recommend this shower cream.
I purchased Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Cream when it was on offer for 95p. Its usual price is £1.90 in Sainsbury's.
Shower crème has cashmere extract and sensual orchid blossom scent
Hydra IQ moisture technology for a soft skin feeling
pH skin-balanced - dermatologically approved
Pampering shower cream oil for cashmere soft skin
"Let the sensual scent of orchid blossom indulge your senses."
The luxurious cream oil formula, enriched with cashmere extract, develops into a delicate foam which caresses your skin leaving it as soft and smooth as cashmere. Relax and rejuvenate with every shower.
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Parfum, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl Glucoside, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Sodium Chloride, Glycol Distearate, Polyquaternium-7, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Citric Acid, Laureth-4, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, PEG-90 Glyceryl Isostearate, Benzophenone-4, Laureth-2, Sodium Benzoate, Linalool, Benzyl Alcohol, CI 10316, CI 16035.
The shower cream comes in a white squashed cylindrical shape with an easy flip lid. The packaging design is fairly simple and the word "cashmere" and "orchid" conveys a luxurious product. The shower cream does have extracts of cashmere and has the scent of orchid blossom. I don't know what orchids smell like, but the smell is gorgeous and really does add to the luxurious feel. The smell is rather feminine, so I would not recommend this shower gel for men.
I have sensitive skin but have not had any problems after using this shower crème.
To use, just flip open the lid, turn upside down and squeeze. Only a small amount is required on a sponge/ flannel and it lathers up really well. The shower cream itself is thick, adding to the quality feel of the product.
This crème has "Hydra IQ moisture technology for a soft skin feeling". My skin does feel soft after use however I still feel the use of a moisturiser is needed post shower.
This is a lovely product and it really does help to relax and rejuvenate in the shower. I would be willing to pay the full price for this particular shower crème from Nivea.
I have been known to waste a ridiculous amount of money on make-up and beauty products, and have recently been making more of an effort to cut back and buy less, and then look for cheaper alternatives when I do genuinely need something. I found this Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Cream in Boots where it was on offer at just £1.00 for a 250ml bottle and decided to give it a try.
Product description: "Let the sensual scent of orchid blossom indulge your senses, while the silky shower cream with cashmere extract caresses and cleanses your skin, leaving it as soft and smooth as cashmere. Relax and rejuvenate with every shower.
+ pH balanced
+ dermatologically approved"
This body wash comes in a white coloured plastic bottle, which I think is a bit of a nuisance as you cannot see through to gauge exactly how much product is left inside. The bottle has a plastic flip-top lid at the top of the bottle with a small hole underneath which the product is dispensed through.
The shower cream itself has a light consistency, and comes in a golden colour with a pretty pearlescent sheen. It is quite runny so I need to be careful when pouring it out of the bottle, as only a small amount is required and I can often end up with too much on my shower puff. As soon as I start washing with this it creates a truly luxurious lather that is rich and foamy with lots of bubbles. This is easy to spread over my whole body and leaves my skin feeling smooth and cleansed. It is really lovely to use as it feels so nice against my skin because of the soft and fluffy bubbles. I was intrigued by the use of cashmere as an ingredient, and assume this is what makes the cream so soft and moisturising.
The scent of this product is really unusual, and I find it hugely addictive. The orchid fragrance is completely new on me and I absolutely loved it. It has an exotic floral scent, but with a really soft and sweet feminine edge, and slightly powdery notes to round it off. Despite the delicate nature of the fragrance it comes across strongly and the scent of the product fills the room as I am using it. Provided that I don't use any additional products on my skin while I'm bathing (e.g. body scrub, shaving foam etc), then the smell will stay noticeable on my skin for a short while afterwards, and so prolongs my enjoyment of it.
I have been really impressed with this shower gel and can definitely recommend it. It is extremely good value for money and gives an all-round excellent experience. I would certainly buy this product again, and would be happy to try other products from the brand as well.
About nivea cashmere moments shower cream
I have been using nivea cashmere moments shower cream for about six months now. My skin was getting dry from
using harsh soap bars so I decided to use something which was more oil based and came across Nivea Cashmere
Once you open the bottle, you need to use the Nivea cashmere moments shower cream within twelve months as it only has
a shelf life of twelve months.
Does it smell good?
Nivea cashmere moments shower cream smells really nice and refreshing and is great to use during an evening shower.
Value for money
Nivea cashmere moments shower cream costs £1.95 in Superdrugs for 250ml and £1.99 for 250ml in Boots and I think that is great value for money.
Why did you buy it?
The reason for buying Nivea cashmere moments shower cream was because it is oil based and because it is resonably priced. A little drop does tend to go a
long way as well!
How does it affect your skin?
I have sensitive skin and Nivea cashmere moments shower cream doesn't irritate or sting my skin at all. I would say that Nivea cashmere moments shower cream
dehydrates, smoothens, cleanses, refreshes and moisturises my skin effectively.
Nivea cashmere moments shower cream contains cashmere extract and also contains sensual orchid blosson scent. It use Hydra IQ moisture technology to make the skin
feel soft and I have to say that I can really see the difference.Nivea cashmere moments shower cream also contains aqua, sodium laureth sulphate, parfum,
glycerin and a couple of other ingredients. Nivea cashmere moments shower cream is made in Germany. It is not harsh on the skin at all because it is pH skin
balanced and dermatologically approved.
I would recommend that you buy Nivea cashmere moments shower cream!
I usually tend to buy shower gel products when they are on offer, and this one is no different. I found this for £1 and decided to give it a try.
Appearance and Smell
This is a creamy shower gel, more creamy that I would usually buy. I tend to prefer shower gels with a bit more punch to them. This product has a silky feel to it and has a slight smell; I did not find it too strong or over powering. The packaging says "sensual orchid blossom scent" which I could faintly smell but not to a great extent. The packaging is of the usual Nivea standard and is quite calm and minimalist.
When going to use this product I only had to use a small amount, as I use a body puff, and it lathered up well, foaming easily. It was smooth and silky to the skin and, once washed off left my skin feeling very soft. I was surprised at how well it left my skin feeling. Sometimes these types of shower gels tend to leave your skin feeling sticky but I felt my skin was left hydrated and moisturised, but still with a clean and fresh feeling.
This is a product which has a high quality look and feel about it, leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean, but with a moisturised and pampered feel. It is a product I would not hesitate to buy again.
When it comes to shower gel I'm not really very fussy or loyal to any one particular brand. I do love the original Sanex, admittedly, but that's more for the fragrance than any miraculous abilities to soften, moisturise or cleanse my skin. But, usually, as long as something smells nice and makes me feel clean when I step out of the shower that's generally all I want from a shower gel (although I do love the Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily gel - see previous review - but as it's so expensive I try to put that out of my mind!). As a result I usually just buy whatever I find on offer when I'm stocking up, rather than stocking up on something in particular becuase it's on offer.
This is how I came across Nivea's Cashmere Moments a while ago whilst browsing Boots. It was on offer down from £1.95 to just £1, which is more the price I would expect to pay for a bottle this size, plus I had a voucher from the Advantage Card machine for an extra 10% of shower gels plus I got Advantage points...bonus! I popped a bottle in my basket and when I got home it went straight into the cupboard. We've now been using it for a couple of weeks so I thought it was a good time to write a review for it.
The shower gel - sorry, shower cream oil! - comes in a typical cream coloured plastic bottle which is slightly oval in shape, has a contrasting pale gold flip top lid and contains 250ml of the product. The front informs us it's made by Nivea, that it contains Hydra IQ technology (apparently for softer feeling skin) and that it contains cashmere extract and orchid blossom scent. The back label gives more information including contact infor for the company, ingredients and further productt description which uses words such as 'indulge', 'luxurious', 'delicate' and 'rejuvenate'...all sounds good to me from something I just want to clean my skin! It also tells us that the product is pH skin-balanced and has been dermatalogically tested, other added bonuses.
Using the cream oil is very easy, simply flip the lid up and squeeze a small amount into your hand, onto a flannel or onto a shower puff (my preferred method). The flip top lid makes it easier to use when you have wet hands, no need to screw anything on or off and no danger of dropping it into the bottom of the bath - this may not sound like a big issue but when you have very bad eyesight and have taken your glasses off to have a shower, finding a white lid in a white bath can be tricky, believe me!
I usually squirt a 50p piece sized blob onto my shower puff and then give it a quick rub to start a lather foaming before rubbing it all over my skin. To be honest, this shower cream doesn't lather up as well as others I've used, it doesn't give anywhere near the amount of bubbles that Radox does, for examply. However, what it does give, it a rich, creamy, softer lather, more like a foam than bubbles, but not really foam, if you know what I mean? It gives the feeling of being a lot more luxurious than your average shower because it feels a lot creamier and richer.
I don't tend to rely on shower gels to moisturise my skin or make it softer as I always use some kind of body lotion after showering anyway, but this one really has made a noticeable difference to the softeness of my skin. I'm not claiming that it's working miracles and I'll never need to use body lotion again, but it definitely makes a difference and I don't always feel the need to use a body lotion afterwards. I usually still do, but if I don't my skin doesn't get that dry, slightly itchy sensation that it can do after using other shower gels without some kind of back up moisturiser.
The absolute best thing about this shower cream oil for me, however, is the fragrance. I know it says that it contains orchid blossom scent but, to be honest, to me it smells very similar to Baileys! It does have a slight floral background, but the main thing I smell when using it is a sweet, creamy fragrance that definitely makes me feel like I'm showering in Baileys and makes me want to lick my skin! I don't normally like fragrances like this when it comes to toiletries, usually preferring fresher more aquatic smelling ones, but I have to admit that this one is absolutely divine and it lingers not only on my skin for a while but also around the bathroom. I've even taken to leaving the bathroom door open after showering so that the smell permeates the whole of the upstairs!
For me there are no negatives to mention with this shower gel (or cream oil!). The bottle is nice enough and easy to use, it leaves my skin clean and feeling soft and it smells absolutely delicious. As I'm used to never paying more than £1 for a shower gel that's on offer I suppose the full price of £1.95 is more than i'd usually pay for something like this but I will definitely stock up when I see this on offer again and, to be honest, I'd more than likely pay the full price (shock horror!) if I ran out and it wasn't on offer anywhere. Whilst it still doesn't have the same luxurious feel to it that the Molton Brown shower gel does, it definitely feels more luxurious than your bog standard shower gel and so makes shower time feel like a bit more of a treat!
My review on this product is contrastingly different to the others on here so far, as I must confess I am not a fan of this bodywash. I picked up a couple of these bodywashes from Asda, as they were on offer for a pound. I'm not overly fussy with bodywash - something that smells nice and lathers up decently usually keeps me happy.
The first thing that I really don't like about this wash is the smell. It supposedly should smell of orchids, but I have to say that for me, the smell does not resemble orchids at all. To be honest the smell reminds me of the really strong stuff you get in insect repellents - DEET! I know this sounds extreme and it's probably not quite as bad as it sounds, but there is definitely a similarity there.
Secondly I am not impressed with how this product lathers. When it comes out of the bottle it looks like a fairly nice, translucent wash. But upon rubbing onto the skin, or between my hands I just find that it feels more oily than anything else, and therefore building it up into any sort of lather is just hard work.
I have to say that I am quite disappointed by this bodywash. The fact that the name contains the words 'orchid' and 'cashmere' made me believe I was going to get something really luxurious. In addition the packaging is quite attractive and feminine, again leading you to believe that showering with it will be a pleasurable experience. But I do not think I will ever buy this again - special offer or not!
Thanks for reading!
I have a tendency to shop around with my shower gel products. I will find one and constantly use it, then get bored and move onto something new. I was shopping in Tesco and saw this on offer for £1 and cracked the lid for a whiff.
I threw it in the basket and when I got home went straight to the shower to try out my new shower cream. I put it on a shower body puff and lathered it up.
I only needed a small bit and it created lots of foam and bubbles. It is a satin pearly colour and feels very soft in your fingers. It's the right consistency for a shower cream. Not too thick and not too watery. The smell is wonderful it is cashmere extract and sensual orchid blossom. It doesn't smell of something you have smelt before or could pick out, it has a very original scent which I immediately liked when i first used it.
I managed to wash my whole body with the little bit I had used, and I've only just finished it up after almost 3 months use. I shower 2-3 times a week, so that's nearly 40 uses. I love to smell clean and use something that will linger and not wear off once you wash it off. I went to see my grandparents after my shower and my nan immediately told me how nice I smelt.
The bottle is easy to open and squeeze out the shower cream as if you have wet hands it can usually become a problem with trying to open bottles or get the stuff out of the bottle.
This product is pH skin-balanced and dermatologically approved. I use it as an all over body wash and have never felt it sting or feel it had too much perfume in, so I do trust it to be a brilliant product.
You get a lot of product for your money it is very much worth the money. It is usually priced at around £1.85 so for 40 washes if you use it with a body puff which are inexpensive at around 30-40p costing you around 4-5p for each wash! You can purchase them from most supermarkets and other stores which sell toiletry products.
I would definitely say this product is aimed for women to use, as the scent is more for a woman rather than a man. It's always found in the womens section of the supermarkets This is definitely worth trying out if your suffer dry skin or like long lasting scent to your shower creams. The item is much better than other shower creams I have purchased in the past as this lasts a long time. I usually end up buying one every few weeks but as I said before, it lasted me almost 3 months.

I always look out for different products to try and I discovered this Nivea Cashmere shower gel so I tried it out. I was so amazed after using the product it certainly left my skin soft smooth and lightly perfumed with Orchid Blossom scent.. You only need a small amount in the palm of your hand it is a white thick creamy gel and it lathers up very well and a little goes a long way.
I found after using it it did leave the skin moisturised and soft to touch and long lasting.
It is in a white container and holds 250ml. It is shaped in a way that makes it easy to hold and to use in the shower. It is simply designed with the familiar Nivea Logo which is blue and then underneath the products name Cashmere Moments.Very eyecatching on a shop shelf and easy to find.
I do like Nivea products as the products are good quality without costing a fortune I think I bought 3 bottles of the shower gel for about £4 which I thought was not a bad price.
I was in Boots a few weeks ago and I noticed the Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Cream on offer at £1 for 250ml so I decided to try it. I have always been a fan of Nivea ever since mom used to rub it on my shoulders when I was out in the sun when I was a little girl - yes, in my day, there was no sun tan cream as such! LOL!
The cream comes in a flattish cream coloured container that stands with the lid at the top. It has no hook to hang it in the shower so if you have to hang yours up this is not the shower cream for you.
The label on the front has the familiar Nivea logo in blue and the words cashmere moments cream oil. The shower cream oil apparently has extracts of cashmere and the scent of sensual orchid blossom.
On the back the label has the usual warnings about not getting the cream in your eyes and there is a full list of ingredients which will be useless to you unless you are a chemist! The cream has 'hydra IQ moisture technology for a soft skin feeling' and has been dermatologically tested and is ph balanced.
To use the cream I just had to flip open the lid, turn the container upside down and squeeze some out into my free hand. The shape of the container makes it nice and easy to grip with wet hands so that's good then.
The cream is a pearly translucent sort of colour and smells quite sweet and flowery although whether it is the fragrance of orchids I really couldn't say!
Once I began to rub the cream over my wet skin it produced a lovely thick creamy lather and the fragrance surrounded me in the shower. The lather washed off easily enough leaving my skin smelling lovely and feeling soft.
After drying myself I found that my skin did feel moisturised as promised so I was impressed with my purchase. Having said that the offer has now finished and the current price for this particular product is £1.95 but that is still a good price for such a nice shower cream.
I would definitely recommend this one as it smells lovely, does the job and moisturises the skin - and the plastic container goes in the recycling bag once it's empty!
