Nivea crème soft shower cream
I bought a few of these shower creams figuring they would serve us well when we go on holiday in the summer.
THE PROMISES...
This shower cream is apparently enriched with almond oil, and promises to envelop you in a caring, soft foam leaving your skin smooth and moisturised. It is ph balanced and dermatologically tested so should be fine for all members of the family.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The shower cream comes packaged in a plastic 250ml bottle with a flip up/down lid and has all of the information and instructions on the back of the bottle. When I squeeze some of the shower cream out of the bottle, it is, as expected, white and relatively thick although not as quick as a bath cream. Although the cream is advertised as containing almond oil, this isn't the smell I smell when I pour our the cream but there is a very faint and not unpleasant scent which is rather more masculine than floral. Not unpleasant, but stronger than expected.
USING THE SHOWER CRÈME
The shower cream should be poured onto a sponge and massaged into damp skin. I find that its creamy enough to work into a lather and is nice and easy to rinse off skin. I have also used it as a bath cream by pouring it under running water. Again it does clean skin nicely and rinses off without too much trouble, but unfortunately, when used this way there aren't sufficient bubbles for my liking.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The shower cream is widely available and is usually priced at about £1, so its very reasonably priced.
VERDICT...
Although not the best shower cream I have ever used, and certainly not the best for use in the bath, it is good quality and unlikely to break the bank. After use my skin is clean and although the scent doesn't linger, certainly when used the product does give off a pleasant smell. My skin doesn't feel dry after use but it doesn't take the place of a moisturiser.
I would recommend this as a shower cream mainly because it does the job at a cheap price and will certainly be taking my extra bottles on holiday.
Thanks for reading
