Once I noticed that Nivea had introduced a body moisturiser to become applied throughout the bathing procedure, because it meant I didn't should feel bad about not restoring the water shed within my body from a process I actually don't even enjoy. . . As it could boost the water throughout the bathtub itself!
It basically needed awhile to me to really GET it nevertheless however one-of my buddies began chattering about how great it had been and the way you have access to it effortlessly in Residence Discounts. . . And that I have one particular suitable just about to happen from me! Thus the next time I got myself a jar.
I had been instantly impressed with it. You use your regular bath gel first (my standard bath gel is normally whichever my partner has ordered that week) which means this isn't supposed to be for WASHING you, only the moisturising component. (if you've noticed too late that youare out-of bath gel, Though used to donot know that very first time and that I still thought fairly clear, therefore it is possibly a change. You stroke it in when you wash fit out a blob of it, after which enable it wash-off. Immediately easier softer skin and never have when you escape the bathtub to moisturise and so are drying down!
Oil is excellent for nourishes skin and serious moisturising exceptionally. Additionally, it plays a role in the product's brilliant stench - I enjoy the stench of Nivea since it is, nevertheless the almond oil's extra inclusion makes the product - and eventually my skin - odor incredible!
I had been worried the product could be somewhat fried - I experience somewhat slimy after it, although I generally utilize Astral on my experience and, if I cannot get that the Nivea product is used by me. Thus my concerns were warranted. Although it truly is considerably brighter than that treatment but made me feel more supple. Our skin was not as hard as a child's butt... My WAIST was not even while hard as an infantis waist!!! A lot of information? itis not false although I am sorry!
It is also great for after shaving - my feet experience after waxing but this smoothed them out them feel very strokeable a little difficult! Another advantage.
For me personally, the situation that is only real is the fact that that moisturisation in a smooth shower is typically not ideal for next time you employ the bath... My shower is inside a number of moments I've identified myself slipping around somewhat because of the prior bathtub as well as the bathtub. Nevertheless, after I take advantage of it, this may be my own personal mistake although not cleaning the bath right!
Nivea at around £3.50 retails In Shower Body Moisturiser Skin Conditioner - I got it for about 1 pound cheaper in House Bargains if you have one nearby, I believe it is worth the amount of money however for that benefit, so I could recommend trying within because of it. Thus although you are sluggish like me but-don't wish the bathtub to dry your skin, I'd absolutely recommend you have a try this product!
For anyone who knows me I am usually very predictable when it comes to my choice of clothes, shoes, aftershaves, shower gels and other hygiene products. I know what I like and generally I stick to certain products because I like them. Occasionally I have a spark of the dare devil in me and buy something I am not usually either acquainted with or something that is marginally different to what I usually use.
My wife and daughter call me boring but I don't give two hoots because I know what I like and prefer to stick with something that I find acceptable usually from the Nivea range of toiletries which I usually hold in high regard as being fit for purpose. I find many shower gels and bath stuff smell more like toilet cleaner and actually find them quite offensive. The usual shower gel I use is not listed in the Dooyoo catalogue which is bizarre as the rest of the range is.
I usually buy my toiletries in Asda as they are normally cheaper than other supermarkets. Often they sell the Nivea range of shower gels for £1 a bottle rather than its RRP of £1.78 or in other shops around £2+. When I see it on offer like this I usually buy half a dozen bottles of the stuff and stock it up for future use. I have a whole shelf in one of my wardrobes full of toiletries. The last time I went to Asda the range was on sale again and after a flash of dare devil in me I thought let's try something different and as well as the half dozen bottles of my usual stuff I bought two different scented ones. What a risk taker eh!
The Shower gel I am reviewing today is the Nivea Men Sport 2 in 1 shower gel. The bottle is a dark blue colour and has orange colour writing both in English and French on the front of the bottle. It contains 250ml of gel which is a bright almost fluorescent blue colour. The gel is just that it's quite thick and a little runny. The gel is supposed to be used on the face, hair and on the body. I usually start using it from the top of my head down my body covering myself in the blue liquid rubbing and then rinsing off. The gel smells quite refreshing and is supposed to be of a citrus flavour. It is supposed to contain minerals and scents that invigorate the body. Maybe my nose is not as adept as some other people because although It smells fresh there is no discernible smell that I can identify as being citrusy like another well-known product and sadly to me it smells like toilet cleaner.
I usually endorse the products from Nivea as I find them quite good at moisturising however with this gel I found it dried out my skin rather than moisturising which most of the Nivea products do.
Will I be buying this gel again?
The answer to that is a simple and a straightforward NO for the following reasons. The first is I do not like the smell of it, the second is that it did not moisturise my skin although I did feel clean after using it and finally it is supposed to invigorate and recharge you well it certainly did not do that. I felt as dozy getting out of the shower as I do when I get in it. I think I shall stick to my usual Nivea product.
Just as an aside which I know will have Malu beaming with pride. This company was founded in 1882 in Germany by a chemist called Carl Paul Beiersdorf. It is a global company and sells its products all over the world. I think Nivea is a brand you can trust but this one is not for me!
I like to use products specifically designed for men, as much as I possibly can, perhaps with the expectation of my dear other half's Femfresh, which I like to use myself occasionally. One of my favourite brands is the Nivea for men range and in particular I do like their Sport Shower Gel. This comes in a nice masculine looking dark blue plastic bottle with a handy flip top lid.
Last time I bought a bottle of this I paid only 99p for a 250ml sized bottle, so I was pretty chuffed about that. This is fantasist stuff to use in the shower after a day at work. The gel itself is rich in consistency and surprisingly thick. The smell is great - very masculine and almost slightly citrusy in aroma.
This stuff foams up really well, especially when you use one of those special little things my wife has in the shower - like a lumpy sponge shaped like a flower. I pour the gel onto that and rub myself all over. It makes me feel fresh and alive and slightly invigorated and even more of a manly man. I feel quite butch and masculine when I use this and there is certainly nothing girly or feminine about this wonderful product. My dear other half loves it after I have been washed in this stuff and she says I smell great, so it must be good stuff!
The other thing I love about this product is that it can be doubled up as a shampoo at the same time as a body wash. This is great if you are short of time and in a rush to get out of the shower. I use it all over my head and beard and it makes my hair look and feel fresh and alive and it gives it a lot more bounce. It adds to the sheen of my hair and it looks like I have given myself a hundred strokes with an expensive hairbrush. It rinses off well too and leaves no residue.
This is overall a fantastic product and I can find no fault with it at all - I love everything about it, including the price and the masculine shape and colour of the bottle it comes in. Great stuff and definitely recommended.
When I was shopping in Tesco over the last weekend, I spotted this shower gel, which is one I have never tried before and when I saw the price for a branded product, I jumped at the chance to give it a try, as I am always looking for a bargain and so I thought it was a good price for a well known brand Nivea, and I had never seen this gel before in any shops and did not know it even existed until I saw it in the shop.
It comes in a blue plastic bottle with a flip lid, the gel inside is a rich blue gel, that has a nice citrus smell, and for the low price of just 90p for a 250ml bottle and it being half price, I thought it was a good amount of gel, the texture is nice and soft, it is easy to pour from the bottle onto a sponge, it is soft on the skin and cleans my body well for my liking, to leave it nice and refreshing, and although I do not really look for a product that moisturises my skin that often, this one does leave my skin soft.
This gel also cleans the hair as well as the body and so it is really 2 products for the price of 1 and it also saves me some time in the morning in the shower as I can just use one bottle and just wash and go, as in the mornings I just like to hop into the shower and that is it, but in the evening I like to take a longer shower but this one is good for anyone in a rush.
My wife has used and tried this one too, and she loves it and she tells me that she thinks it is so smooth as all Nivea products are and she loves the feel of it on her skin and it has not left any irritation on our skins at all after use and so I would say this one is nice for all the family.
The quality of the gel is very good, it is rich and glossy, and it rinses off the body and hair with no trouble, to leave a refreshing smell as well as leaving my body revitalised and ready for the day ahead, I think the smell has a lime smell, and it lathers really well on the skin and sponge, and I love a shower gel that gives enough lather as I do not like the thin gels that just wash the body, I prefer one that has a little more foam and this one has that amount for my liking and this one is absolutely fabulous and not a let down in any way.
I am so pleased I saw this one on special offer as I probably would not have tried it and I am happy with the results it has for my skin and how it sets me up for the day too and I highly recommend it as it is extremely good value for money and for the half price offer, it is a good buy, so pop to Tesco and grab yourself a bargain, and I also think at the usual price this one is still a good buy and worth the money.
I rate this one 5 stars.
I am off camping in a couple of weeks so having run out of a few things I decided to stock up on a few toiletries for the holiday. I have always liked Nivea for Men products whether It's been Shower Gel, Deodorant or Skin lotions they have always been of a high quality for me, with that in mind I saw this shower gel for £1 in my local Morrisons store and decided to pick some up. I have now used this shower gel for a week or two and decided to buy another one due to the current offer.
The Gel is a nice blue colour and has a nice clean citrus scent which really works well to smoothen and cleanse your skin. As well as being a very good shower gel for your skin It's also a decent shampoo alternative which gives your hair a smooth feel when you have run out of shampoo or tend to use shower gel as an alternative. The good thing about this Shower Gel is that you really don't need loads in your hands to lather with the water so this means that the gel will last longer which is always a bonus.
The results are excellent with this product, whether you use it in the bath or shower it will cleanse your body really well and it is also a more than half decent shampoo. I really like the way this one smells on your skin after you have showered or bathed. It's a very fresh and fruity scent which gives this shower gel another plus point. Overall these results point to a very good product from Nivea.
So now we come to the overall verdict and for me This product is a very highly recommended Shower Gel from Nivea and one that will suit a lot of men and women for that matter. The excellent Citrus scent will work well with most deodorants, particularly any Nivea one. This is a shower gel that smells nice, cleans well and also gives your skin a fresh smooth feel. If you are looking for a Shower Gel which is on offer then give this a go and you will not be disappointed. Even if you can't find this one on offer it is still a fine product to buy at around £1.98 a bottle.
Nivea for men is a 2-1 shower gel that is designed to be used for hair and body. The get comes in a dark blue 250ml bottle that has a a flip top cap. This cap can be quite tricky to open with wet hands, which is slightly annoying!
The gel itself is quite runny, and is a bright blue 'metallic' colour that looks quite cool considering other shower gels I've used. The gel itself is quite fresh and as the description describes has a citrus scent, which I must agree with, as it smells quite citrusy. However, saying that, the smell is quite masculine.
The gel turns into a foamy lather when rubbed between the palms of your hands with hot water. For just a small amount of gel, you get a lot of the foam, so would recommend a amount about the size of a 50p piece as suitable.
Once the foam has been rubbed on to the skin, the gel only needs to be applied 10 seconds or so for the fragrance to be maintained once out of the shower and dry. It washes of the skin easily and also out of the hair. Hair looks clean once dry, however, does feel slightly greasy, but doesn't look it, so not is all bad!
Nivea describe the gel as being pH balanced and 'enriched' with minerals. This suggests that applying the gel should be quite good for your skin and hair, however, most brands seem to quote this, so I think taking this with a pinch of salt is best!
I recently ran out of shower gel and as I was only a day from my Avon order arriving (I work part time as an Avon representative) I was reluctant to buy more, seeing as I had two bottles of Avon shower gel on order.
Therefore, I had to use what was available, namely something belonging to my other half. On this occasion, the shower gel he had in the bathroom cabinet was this Nivea 'For Men' Sport shower gel. The bottle is 250ml in size.
I did note that on the front of the bottle, there is a little statement under the words Shower gel which states "2 in 1 Body & Hair". This of course means that this product is suitable for use on hair as well as being used as a shower gel. I am not overly keen on these types of 2 in 1 products, but given the fact I had no other shower gel in the house, I went ahead and tried it out - it was very much a choice of using this or nothing!
Supplied in a navy blue coloured plastic bottle, I did note that the 'flip-up' style plastic lid was a little poorly designed. The plastic surrounding the outside of the lid is slightly 'unfinished' and this means it is a little on the 'sharp' side when pulling it up with my fingers. The plastic is obviously a bit cheap or perhaps this is not a design flaw at all, and I found it uncomfortable to lift up the 'flip' style cap because I am a girl and the bottle is designed to be used by men only? ;-)
Anyway, after I finally managed to open the lid (I know, I'm a wimp!) I squeezed out a little of the shower gel lotion into my hand - an amount roughly the size of a 50 pence piece or similar - I was aware instantly that the smell of the shower gel was quite intense. Not exactly over-powering, but the product is most definitely one that is quite strongly scented. I did also find that the whole bathroom reeked of the stuff after using, and anytime my partner has had a shower using this shower gel it is very obvious, given that the smell creeps right through the house! It's definitely strongly- scented! And thank goodness the smell isn't horrible lol.
The scent is very masculine, very much as I expected it to be. I would actually say that the fragrance is quite an energising one, and it did occur to me whilst I was using this shower gel that it would be quite invigorating to use first thing in the morning... It gave me the impression that it would wake me up a little!
The liquid is a bright blue colour and I did think it was very thick - It was really like rubbing washing up liquid over my skin lol! The consistency seemed to be much thicker than any other shower gels that I use on a regular basis. When I commented on this fact to my partner, he replied that this was usually the case when a product is designed to be a '2 in 1' kind of affair. I would have to say that I agree a little with his assumption, as the consistency reminded me of a shampoo rather than a shower gel!
Anyway, I did think that the shower gel lathered up quite nicely on my bath 'scrunchie'. I would not say that it created a huge amount of frothy bubbles or anything of the sort, but as this is a product aimed at the masculine end of the market, this was no surprise to me.
The shower gel didn't feel at all unpleasant when applied on to my skin, and I didn't detect any sort of side-effects in terms of my sensitive skin, and more importantly the product caused no irritation to my eczema. This was a huge plus point for me, as it is not always the case, particularly with men's toiletries and lotions, as they seem to be a bit harsher in nature for some reason!
I was quite pleased that the scent of the product didn't remain on my skin for any significant period of time after I had finished showering. I certainly wouldn't have been too happy if it had, considering that the scent is so masculine.
There is no way that I would personally use this product on my hair, as I use a specifically bought shampoo to preserve my hair colour. That said, my partner has been using it on his hair of late and I must comment on the shine it has given his locks! His hair is usually quite dull-looking but I do feel that the shampoo element to this product has given his locks a bit of a 'lift'. For this reason, I can only assume that it does work quite well as a shampoo as well as a shower gel.
When I asked my partner for his opinion on the shower gel for the purposes of this review, he commented that it was as good as any supermarket-own branded one, but no better. He did say that he didn't feel it was as high quality as something like a 'Lynx' brand of shower gel, however for an 'everyday' product he felt that it worked quite well and he got good value for money when he purchased it.
Another point worth noting is that due to the thick consistency of the gel, you only need to use a small amount each time. This of course means that it offers better value for money than other products as it lasts a bit longer! :-D
The bottle of shower gel was on special offer a while ago in our local Asda supermarket, and my partner paid the great little sum of £1 for the bottle. It is also available in other drug stores such as Boots and supermarkets and the usual cost is around £1.80. You can buy it online from www.boots.com for the sum of £1.79.
I felt it was a fairly good buy considering what we paid for it and I did feel that it worked reasonably well. A four star product on this occasion.
