Advantages: Smells lovely, lathers up easily, price

Disadvantages: My skin has become no different since using the shower cream

I must admit, I am not normally someone who goes searching through a shop for ages until I find the perfect shower cream. I normally just get whatever's the cheapest and go. But when I was searching through ASDA, Nivea Free Time caught my eye. I gave it a good sniff and couldn't resist buying it! I got the 250ml bottle for £1, which for me is a very good price.

The shower cream comes in a white rounded bottle with a picture of a star fruit on the front. Originally I thought the picture on the bottle was actually a lime, but later found out that it was some fruit called a star fruit, I guess you learn something new everyday! On the back it tells you about the shower cream and the ingredients. To get the shower cream out there is a flip lid at the top of the bottle, when you turn the bottle upside down and squeeze, the cream comes out easily.

On the back of the shower cream it says, 'let the citrus scent of start fruit revitalise your senses. The silky shower cream, with caring Aloe Vera, leaves your skin feeling beautifully smooth.'

As I've already said, it was the scent of this shower cream that made me buy it in the first place. I've never had a star fruit before, but I looked it up and apparently they taste kind of like apples and lemons mixed together, giving off this citrus taste. When I smelt the shower cream it is a nice citrus scent. It's not overpowering, but it is quite a strong smell. The smell is very refreshing, I like it a lot!

To use the shower cream is just like how you would use any other shower cream. Squeeze out some cream onto your hand when your in the bath or the shower, and then rub it in to your skin. You could also use it with a sponge if you wanted. And then just wash it off with water.

When using this cream I found that you don't need to use a lot of it. The colour of the cream is a whitish colour. When rubbing it into my skin, the cream did feel nice and soft, and it lathered up really easily. The cream is quite runny, so when using it you have to be careful as sometimes before you've rubbed it in, it can just slip off and get wasted down the drain. When it came to washing off the cream, it rinsed off quickly. And while it was being rinsed off, my skin did feel nice and smooth! I find that this cream is good to use when I am shaving my legs as a replacement for shaving cream!

The scent from the shower cream sadly did not stay on my skin for too long. However, this didn't bother me too much as I don't think I've ever used a shower cream where the scent has stayed on my skin for a long time. I did find that my skin was nice and smooth, however again the smoothness of my skin didn't last long. My skin was practically the same after using the shower cream.

This shower cream has lasted roughly 3-4 weeks, but it really depends on how many people in your family are using it, and how many times you use it. The scent of the cream is delicious, it lathers up easily making your skin feel smooth and it was only £1! However the reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because my skin has not changed since using the cream, I know it never really promised anything like that, but it would have been nice if my skin had become smoother seeing as I used it almost everyday. Overall it is not too different from all the other £1 shower creams I have used before, except the smell of it is lovely!

Summary: A lovely smelling shower cream.
