“ Brand: NSPA / Texture: Cream / Type: Shower Gel / Texture: Cream „
For Christmas 2011 I was a lucky girl (as ever) and got lots of wonderful gifts from members of my family. One such item that I got was this vanilla crème brulee bath & shower gel and I got this in a big hamper from a member of my family. I didn't use this for at least 5 months this year, this was only because I always get so many products at Christmas that it takes me at least half the year to use them, sometimes longer and so I use up my fresh Lush products first before moving on to bottled products that I know will keep for a good year or two.
N-Spa is available from Asda and the Nirvana Spa website although all the products I've tried have definitely always come from Asda were they can regularly be found on offer with the 500ml frequently just £2.00 and this 100ml bottle can regularly be picked up for just £1.00 making it purse friendly for a fairly small product and ideal when making someone a hamper of different pampering products up.
The bottle for this is a large chunky plastic bottle and you can see through it to see how much of this gel you have left. I always like that as it means once I climb in to the shower I know I have enough stuff to last me and I won't need to risk getting out the bath/shower wet and slipping over and breaking a bone (again!). The bottle has a black flip top lid and it doesn't look particular cheap compared to anything else on display in my bathroom.
Within the bottle there is quite a thick, creamy coloured gel. As soon as I flip the lid I am met with quite a rich, slightly caramel scent with hints of vanilla within it. The vanilla is not overpowering, as it sometimes can be, and this just feels like it has a real depth to it without being over the top in terms of scent. I would say that this is nowhere near as sweet as I was expecting it to be an instead felt like a more mature scent ideal for someone of my age who no longer wants to smell like an overdone teenager.
When I use bath or shower gel I almost always use it with a bath lily and this was no different. I poured some of this on the lily and with a swift shake and squeeze of the bottle a nice amount was released and it came out at a reasonable speed without being too fast and wasteful. I then scrunch up my bath lily and the scent gets a little stronger and more noticeable when I do this, it is still lovely though and I still really like it. I then wash myself as normal and find that a nice amount of lather is always released when using this. I find washing a doddle using this and it is simple to see at a glance if I have missed any spots while cleaning myself. The vanilla comes through more as I rub this around my body and my skin is always left feeling wonderful soft and smooth after I use this.
After I have rinsed myself clean the scent has all but disappeared and this isn't really a disappointment as this happens with most shower gel products that I use. As this is so low priced I wouldn't expect it to leave my skin perfumed all day or anything like that so I won't mark this item down for that. My skin feels lovely after using this and it is kept moisturised throughout the too, ideal with the weather changing as much as it has been lately!
To sum up, 5/5 from me. The scent is a grown up one and I have been using this on a daily basis for almost a month and it is only now that the bottle has run out. A little goes a long way with this and the scent is lovely without being too strong or overpowering. The smell is a little less flavoursome while in the bottle, however, as soon as I start to scrunch up my bath lily or rub this across my skin the smell is released and is more noticeable with a nice vanilla and caramel edge to it that is lovely and does definitely remind me of crème brulee. I would happily use this again although I might not actively seek to buy it as there is always something new in the N-Spa section to catch my eye but should I ever get this again in a hamper or as a small gift at Christmas I would be very pleased.
I've recently been trying out some N-Spa products with my online Asda deliveries and have had mixed experiences. Yet I can't seem to stop trying out new ones! My latest purchase was the Vanilla Crème Brulee shower and bath cream. Coming in a 500ml bottle at the special price of a mere £2, it was impossible for me to resist, especially as I am such a lover of vanilla scented products. There is also a 100ml version for £1, plus a body scrub and body butter in the same scent. I've recently reviewed the body butter - quite negatively so I was interested to give this a go.
This product comes in a lovely chunky see-through plastic bottle with simple black lettering and a fliptop cap on the top. I think this makes the product look a bit different, quite funky - and best of all more expensive than it actually is! It's definitely a nice one to have in your bath or shower.
Now I am a massive fan of the Treacle Moon vanilla bath and shower cream, and in almost every way this looks the same - the style of bottle and the creamy colour of the product inside. But actually they smell quite different. While the Treacle Moon product has a very sweet vanilla scent, this isn't quite so sweet and it is more of a deeper, toffee-ish scent. Although it's a nice fragrance, at first I didn't like it as much as the Treacle Moon one, but was still keen to try it out.
Applying it in the shower with a shower puff. this is a very smooth and creamy shower product. It's very pleasant to apply to the skin and as you rub it in it instantly makes your skin feel silky soft. The vanilla fragrance is quite strong, but not at all unpleasant, and I prefer the scent to when it is in the bottle. It lathers up really well and is very nice to use, washing away easily to leave skin feeling very soft. The fragrance also lingers a little, although not too much, so it won't interfere with any other products you wish to apply (although you may prefer the scent to linger a little more of course).
I have also tried this out in the bath. Again it is very creamy and produces masses of bubbles with only a little squirt of the product, and it does make the bathroom smell faintly of vanilla. The bubbles are lovely and creamy and if you rub them into your skin it does leave it feeling very soft and moisturised. Again, though, the smell disappears quite rapidly and, in the bath, I would prefer it to linger a little longer.
Overall this is a very nice vanilla scented bath and shower product, and at £2 for 500ml it is pretty hard to fault it. I would say, though, that I would prefer a sweeter scented vanilla product and the smell doesn't linger as long as some may prefer. But it is one I'd probably buy again, especially at the reduced price - but I would suggest you try and smell it before you buy it.
It is brilliant having a mom like mine. Thankfully she is as much of a beauty junkie as I am and we love a lot of the same brands which is even better for me. The N-Spa range was one we discovered not even that long ago but luckily since I tried that first product my mom has been coming home with goodies from the range practically once a week and so I have lots of reviews to share with you over the next few days. Starting with this 'N-Spa Vanilla Creme Brulee Shower Gel' which I got as part of a mini set a few weeks back. This was one of the N-Spa range is was dying to try as the fragrance sounded right up my street and I just knew Id love it. And now Ive tried it ... I have not been disappointed - this one lives up to my high expectations and more because it is simply gorgeous!! The best Ive tried so far - and the others take some beating!
Price: 500ml bottle - £4.50
Stockists: ASDA & The Nirvana Spa website.
Other Info: This bath syrup is available in MANY other scents - Gingerbread Latte, Angel Cake, Blueberry Pie & Hot Butter Fudge- just to name a few. So I think everyone will be able to find a flavour to suit their tastes from this range - and I think they all cost the same amount.
This product comes in a small 100ml bottle [the one I own is 100ml as I got it as part of a set] which is totally transparent through which you can clearly see the product inside - which is a gorgeous creamy yellow/beige colour - it actually looks like it would taste really nice - or am I just a little bit odd? At the top of the bottle is a small black cap that can be flipped open and shut OR taken off all together if you want to get more out of the bottle quicker - I prefer to do it the first way though as you dont waste any using it like that. On the front and back of the bottle is all the information you could need - directions for use, shelf life, ingredients etc and there is also an email address and street address to write to should you any more questions on the product. The thing I like about the little bottle I own is that it is travel suitable so if your going on holiday soon and going by plane these products might be good for you as you can take them without worrying about them exploding!!
To use this product is really simple as its the same way you'd use ay bubble bath - simply pour a small amount into warm water OR underneath the tap whilst its running and then your bath should be filled with thousands of bubbles and a gorgeous scent. Or you can use this as a normal shower gel - lather it up and then wash yourself from head to toe with this - I like to wash with it and bath with it so I get more of the lovely scent, it really is that amazing! This turns the water a gorgeous milky shade as soon as you put it in and loads of bubbles appear as if by magic so it does make your bath look very inviting and relaxing, it lathers up really well as well if you happen to be using it as a shower gel - its lovely to use this either way whether your in a rush or want more or a chilled bath. This turns the water really silky and soft and I knew from that it was going to have the same effect on my skin - silky and soft NOT greasy or oily thankfully!
And as with most of my N-Spa products this smells absolutely amazing - probably the nicest Ive tried so far which takes some doing let me tell you. Creme Brulee is one of my favourite things to eat and the scent is part of the reason for that and this one actually smells like the real thing - not all synthetic and fake which is fantastic I think. The vanilla is the strongest scent but the gorgeous toffee and caramel scents are only just behind it in the background and they all mix so well together - its like bathing in creme brulee for real - the gorgeous pudding without putting on the pounds! Now although this sounds like it would be really sweet it honestly isnt - it os to a certain extent but not so much that I find it too strong - nor will many people I dont think so its one for everyone. This smell lasts for the whole time your in the bath and even longer on my skin so this doesnt fade quickly - I keep getting big whafts of this whenever I move today which is lovely.
The results are just as brilliant in my opinion. This leaves my skin feeling, looking and smelling gorgoeus and to be honest I dont need anything more from a bubble bath/shower gel. My skin is so smooth after using this that I dont need to use extra lotion and can just go on with my day so its a big time saver as well as a brilliant product. I cannot recommend this highly enough - its the nicest one Ive tried from the range so far and I will be using this for [hopefully] many years to come. If your only going to try one N-Spa scent make it this one!
Thanks For Reading.

I was ordering groceries online from ASDA a few months ago and came across this product. I had read positive reviews about products from the n-spa range, so I thought I'd give this a try. I chose this particular product because I really like the vanilla crème brûlée dessert. I took this with me when I went home recently to visit my family during my university winter break and used it there so I thought I'd review it.
This product is part of the n-spa fruits range which is a new range of delicious sounding shower and bath gels and body scrubs produced by a spa called Nirvana spa. They are meant to revive the mind and body, and uplift your spirit. They do not test their products on animals.
The packaging is basic yet attractive. The cream coloured shower gel can be seen through the cylindrical shaped clear plastic bottle. The bottle has a black plastic flip top lid which you can easily flip open with wet hands. I have the 500 ml bottle which is slightly heavy but I don't have much of a problem lifting it up in the shower. The following message is printed on the bottle: "If," said the wise man, "the sea was vanilla, might the owl and the pussy cat have changed their minds and sat instead on caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream... life would be simple, rich and fulfilled. Shall we go there one day?" I feel that this gives the bottle a special touch and really is a lovely image.
The shower gel
As soon as I poured the shower gel onto my shower puff, the shower filled with the gorgeous scent of vanilla and caramel. I think this shower gel smells exactly like the dessert it is named after. Unfortunately the gorgeous scent did not linger on my skin for long after my shower. The shower gel lathered very well as I rubbed the shower puff against my skin. It rinsed off quite easily and left my skin feeling clean and lovely. I don't have to use a lot of it to achieve this effect so my 500 ml bottle will last me for ages.
Price and availability
I bought the 500 ml bottle on offer from ASDA for £2. The current retail price at ASDA is £3. I haven't seen this product anywhere else. I have seen N-spa products on offer at ASDA every now and then so would suggest keeping your eyes open for one. N-spa products can also be purchased from the N-spa website, but they tend to be more expensive there: http://www.nirvanaspa.co.uk/dmgshop/products_list.asp?id=96
I do recommend this shower gel. I would buy it for the scent alone! It looks quite nice and left my skin feeling clean too. It is a luxurious product without the price tag of a luxurious product.

I do love December as it's my birthday and of course Christmas, this year I seem to have hit the jackpot for toiletries. This was great for me and judging by the amount I have received I will have no need to buy any for a long time yet - perfect! One of the sets I received for Christmas was an N-Spa bath assortment; couple I haven't tried before and the other one I have and loved it so couldn't wait to give another a go.
N-Spa Vanilla Crème Brulee Shower & Bath Gel:
'A creamy blend of rich toffee and soft vanilla combine with the peaceful and harmonious shade of timeless white. Leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and fragranced with the scent of far-off lands.'
I first spotted N-Spa in Asda last year and fell in love, I think there quirky little quotes on their products are fun, and so far haven't let me down.
The quote - A take on from the Owl and the Pussy Cat (My Favourite poem as a child)
"If," said the wise man, "the sea was vanilla, might the owl and the pussy cat have changed their minds and sat instead on caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream... life would be simple, rich and fulfilled. Shall we go there one day?"
Well having a pack of four to pick from the hard part was which one first! As I love Vanilla I opted for that one first, plus I had a Yankee Candle tart on which was French Vanilla so sticking to the theme I guess. I squeezed some of the gel into the running water and wow the smell was amazing just like adding some vanilla extract to your cake mix and smelling the aroma's floating round the kitchen as they bake.
It bubbled up more than I expected, I had lots and lots of bubbles but that's something I didn't mind, the smell was just so morish and inviting I just couldn't wait to get in my bath. Stepping into my bubbly bath was amazing the smell I just can't not put into words how lovely it was and very relaxing at the same time. All throughout my bath I could smell Vanilla Crème Brulee and it didn't fade at all, which was wonderful as I hate it when your fragrance disappears once you're in the bath.
I picked up my bath sponge and put a little of the gel on to wash myself down and I was just in heaven with the aroma all over again. It lathered up really well, my skin looked fresh and was soft to touch but also I smelt like vanilla. I sat in the bath for longer than I normally do even having to add more hot water as I just didn't want to leave!
When getting out the bath and drying myself down I could smell hints of the vanilla on my skin still, normally once dry the smell tends to wear off but this one stuck around for a good while after. When I went back into my bathroom I had mild hints of vanilla too.
You really don't need much of this gel to get a good aroma in your bath and lots of bubbles a little truly goes along way. As this can also be used in the shower I gave this another go just using my sponge as I did in the bath the only thing I would say is that you still get a wonderful scent but it doesn't transfer to skin as well as it did while soaking in the bath.
How to use:
This is a bath and shower gel so great for whatever your mood takes you; just pour into your bath whilst running your water this will make plenty of bubbles! Or to use in the shower just squeeze some on your hands or sponge rub over your skin.
Price and Availability:
N-Spa Shower and Bath gel comes in two size 500ml which will cost £3.00 and the 100ml which will cost £1.42 from Asda, I haven't seen this range anywhere else as of yet. But you can also purchase from the N-Spa web site which seems to be pricier than Asda.
Mine was a gift pack called Fruit Treats where in contained four 100ml bottles for £5.00 from Asda on the N-Spa web site it is listed £6.00.
If you did like the Vanilla Crème Brulee you can also buy this in a gift pack for £10.00 which contains full size:
Shower and Bath Gel
The Shower and Bath Gel Range:
Vanilla Crème Brulee
Coconut Ice Cream
Apple Mint Crunch
They do have others like bath syrups, creams, scrubs etc you can see there full range here - http://www.nirvanaspa.co.uk/dmgshop/products_list.asp?id=96
I'm delighted I had this set and in love with them all maybe the coconut and vanilla more so, they smell divine leave my skin feeling clean and fresh and most of all give me a lovely relaxing bath. I think price wise it is pretty average for a bath and shower product but they do last you a good while which I find makes them great value.
I would certainly recommend these shower and bath time treats they smell gorgeous and give super results - what's not to like?
Five out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading :o)

I bought lots of different Nspa products from ASDA a while ago, that I have slowly been making my way through. The latest I have used is the Vanilla Crème Brulee shower and bath gel. I chose to just buy a small 100ml travel-sized bottle of this, as I thought it smelled very sweet in the bottle and I worried it would be a little sickly.
The product is packaged in a clear bottle with black flip top cap and black text adorning the front like all Nspa products. The packaging is reminiscent of the expensive Philosophy brand, and there are lots of other brands that have also copied this look, such as Treacle Moon, The Pink Cow and I Love...
This product can be used as both a bubble bath and a shower gel, and in the past I have found this to be a bit of a problem with these products. I tend to find that they work well as either one thing (usually as shower gel) and then not so good as the other.
I actually first tried this as a bubble bath, not really expecting much from it, given past experiences. I was surprised to find that it produced a good amount of bubbles with only a small amount of the product.
The smell was lovely as well - I'm sure you can guess from the name Vanilla Crème Brulee, is incredibly sweet and sugary smelling. It's really strong in the bottle which is why I was initially worried that it could be sickly. I'm glad to say that wasn't the case and although the scent was noticeable throughout the duration of my bath, the water diluted the smell enough so that it wasn't overpowering or sickly in any way.
I found that the bubbles were light and frothy and didn't disappear after five minutes either, which is great for me as I like to soak in there for ages! I've found that they tend to last the duration of the bath unless I wash my hair, in which case the shampoo seems to kill them off!
Having performed well as a bubble bath, I wasn't sure how well it would fare as a shower gel, but I'm pleased to say it was equally as good. I found that it lathered up well and felt creamy against my skin. Again I didn't have to use a great deal each time, so my small 100ml bottle has lasted me a fairly long time.
I found that after using it my skin felt soft and although not highly moisturised, I do think it had some mild moisturising effects as areas like my elbows were nowhere near as dry as they usually are.
I think the only negative thing I can think to say about this product is that the smell doesn't linger on the skin after use, but that's not a huge problem for me as I tend to apply perfume and perfumed lotions and potions after a bath or shower anyway.
This product is available from ASDA. It comes in two sizes - the 100ml at £1 or a huge 500ml bottle priced at just £2. There is also a matching scrub and body lotion available.
Overall I think is a lovely product at a reasonable price, and the fact it can be used as a bubble bath and a shower gel makes it both versatile and economical. If you like very sweet scents, I would definitely recommend giving this a try.
I bought this shower cream purely because it was reduced down to £1 in Asda since I used it I noticed they have a variety of flavours and they all smell really good!
I noticed it because of the price but also because the bottle reminds me of something from the body shop. It contains a quirky little passage about the shower gel itself and something to make you smile. The passage on this particular flavour is:
'If' said the wise man 'the sea was vanilla, might the owl and the pussycat have changed their minds and sat instead on caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream...life would be simple, rich and fulfilled. Shall we go there one day?'
The bottle is simple with surved shoulders and a black top with black writing highlighting the important information on the bottle.
The actual product itself if a creamy caramel colour and isn't all that appealing however when you flip open the lid the smell that greats you is pure heaven. It smells like vanilla and really sweet but not too much just the perfect balance. I have used it as a bubble bath at times and found that it bubbles up really good and is perfect for having a long, hot soak in whilst taking in the sweetness.
The smell sticks around for a long while I'm usually in there half an hour plus and when getting out you can still smell the vanilla. It seems to leave a faint smell on your body and so I imagine if using it for a shower gel it would leave a much more prominent fragrance.
I have had the bottle for about a month and it shows no signs of running out yet and I've used it generously on quite a few occasions so it goes to show that it does last.
I love the fact that this product is such good value for money and you still get a brilliant result from it.
I got this on offer in a ASDA for £1 and it was definately a pound well spent! I don't think that offer is still on, but even if it cost a little more I would still say it's worth buying. This stuff is luxurious for the price! And the bottle is cute - each variety has a different quirky passage on the front which is a nice addition. You also get a lot in a bottle so it lasts quite well - on value for money you can't complain. This creme brulee variety (I bought several types to try!) is particularly nice because it smells like vanilla and sugar which is lovely to be thinking of when you are showering, but doesn't leave you smelling sickly either. It is really soft and silky regarding texture, so feels good on your skin when you're washing , and washes off easily too so you don't need to be too worried about chemicals staying on your skin. The only thing I would say though is that recently my skin has seemed a bit drier than usual. I can't definately attribute it to this product but if you do have really dry/sensitive skin bear that in mind if you try this out! It is lovely stuff though.
A few months ago I bought and reviewed N-Spa's Raspberry Milkshake Body Scrub. I was not particularly impressed with it, and I think it just scraped 3 stars in my review. I probably wouldn't have bothered buying any more products from the range after that, but as it happens I had purchased the Raspberry Milkshake Scrub as part of a '2 for £5' offer on the N-Spa range, and so I had also bought another product at the same time: this Vanilla Crème Brulee Body Scrub. I thought I may as well use it, but I didn't hold high hopes for it as I assumed it would be much the same as the Raspberry Milkshake one. However I was pleasantly surprised by it.
The body scrub comes in a clear plastic tube with a black flip-top lid at the bottom through which the scrub is dispensed. This is not as handy as scrubs which come in a tub, and it's difficult to get the last remnants out of the tube, but at least the fact that it's clear means you can see approximately how much scrub you have left. The tube is quite cute too as it has a little story on the front about a vanilla sea with cream-topped waves and caramel shores. This is quite reminiscent of the expensive Philosophy range and it adds a nice touch of quirkiness to the product.
Once you open up the lid the incredible smell of the scrub reaches you. It is exactly like crème brulee, and you can smell the yummy burnt sugar and vanilla, and almost taste it. It is a lovely, strong, creamy smell that you can smell the whole time you are using the scrub and it makes it a real treat.
The scrub itself is quite good. I found it more exfoliating than the Raspberry Milkshake scrub and more adept at smoothing my skin. It didn't remove the really tough skin around my elbows or feet but the rest of my body felt smooth and well scrubbed after using it. It wasn't too rough or painful on my skin either.
This isn't the most effective scrub I've ever used but it is pleasant, smells amazing and doesn't cost too much money. If not on offer then it will still only set you back £2.95 from Asda, which isn't bad for 225 ml of body scrub. I will continue to search for my perfect scrub but I may well return to this one in the future, and would recommend you give it a try if you like crème brulee!
VANILLA CREME BRULEE (Shower and bath gel).
Having received this product as a pressie for Christmas i thought that i would give it a try both in the shower and in the bath just to see what it works like and how it performed.
In the shower i had noticed how thick this liquid was and the fact that it smells Georgous like a vanilla smell that i could only describe personally as like a toffee smell, wanted to eat this rather than wash in it. It certainly did a good job of leaving my skin clean and feeling fresh i used mine on one of those sponges and it seemed to do the trick really real.
The Bottle **********
This comes in a 500ml bottle thats 16.9 fl oz and it is quite a big bottle. Comes in a clear see through bottle that contains a rich creamy mixture, that i do absolutely love the smell of. Made by N SPA and having been brought it by a friend of mine it is really lovely gift. The Hard Boddied plastic bottle has a see through body so you can see the item inside and it has a pull open lid that you can squirt the liquid through the little hole or you can unscrew the lid either ways you dont need to use heaps and heaps of this stuff.
On the Front in big letters are the word Vanilla Creme Brulee Shower and Bath Gel.And just happens to mention ( that a wise man said the sea was vanilla, then the owl and the pussycat might have changed their minds and sat on a caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream) and this product is actually that when you run this into your bath it does smell just like a caramel bar and the water goes so throthy just like whipped cream, there are loads and loads of bubbles in this product and it made the whole bathroom smell really lovely and i really enjoyed smelling this product.
It did make me feel really clean and fresh and also i loved the smell that was so fresh and relaxing. I have already mentioned that this was given as a pressent and wish i had a few more of these as it made for a great bath with luxurious bubbles and like lying in a sea of white foam, it did clean my skin really good and as to leaving it softer i think it just did a little bit, as my skin is so soft anyways. I really enjoyed this product and i think that the highlight of my product was the lovely creamy smell that this product filled the bathroom with when filling up a hot bath.
Thanks Dave for the lovely pressant i have enjoyed reviewing it and have enjoyed using it.
Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
I have to say that it was definitely not the colour of this bath foam which attracted me to it but the wonderful enticing name, Vanilla Crème Brulee. I am so glad I did not judge it on the colour as it really is a wonderful product.
The bath and shower gel comes in a clear plastic bottle which is cylindrical in shape. The clear bottle allows me to see just how much of the product is left so is a good design in my eyes. The top of the bottle has a black plastic flip lid which makes for very easy use and I would say it is great for using this as a shower gel. It also means that the bottle stays clean and non is allowed to run down the sides of the bottle.
The front of the bottle has the product name and n-spa logo in black lettering and the back of the bottle has the product information clearly written also in black lettering. As with all the n-spa bath and shower gels there is a wonderful saying on the front of the bottle which reads-
'If' said the wise man 'the sea was vanilla, might the owl and the pussycat have changed their minds and sat instead on caramel coated sands with waves topped with cream...life would be simple, rich and fulfilled. Shall we go there one day?'
I really do like the sayings which are added to the bottles as it gives me something to think about whilst I enjoy a long soak.
~~USE AND RESULTS~~
As I use this as a bath foam for me I pour a generous amount of the thick liquid under the running tap which instantly sinks into the bottom of the water. With this one I have found that it does not instantly start to form bubbles but takes a few minutes before this happens. The water colour does not change from this gel either. The amount of bubbles depends on how much of the gel us add but for me I use a lot so get loads of lovely light bubbles which I just love to sink into.
When I lifted the flip lid of the bottle I instantly noticed the smell. I was divine and so resembled vanilla. I also had the thought of vanilla fudge for some reason which for me is a favourite. The smell is very apparent when used as a bath gel and does stay for a good amount of time. Usually have a good 15-20 minutes in the bath and I am still able to smell the vanilla when I get out. When I got out of the bath and dried off I did notice that I was still able to very faintly smell thin on my skin which was a bonus. I think you would get a more lasting smell on the skin if this was used as a shower gel.
I felt very clean after using this bath gel and my skin did feel nice and soft.
The gel to me is a dirty cream colour or beige and does not look very appealing but don't let this put you off as the smell is worth the not so good colour.
This bath and shower gel has been made by n-spa fruits and is not tested on animals. It comes in a good sized bottle containing 500ml. This last me for a very long time as I do use several others at the same time.
The product ingredients for those wishing to know are:-

~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~
I bought my bottle from Tesco for £2.98 which I felt to be a great price as it does last me for a very long time. This is also available in Asda and they do sometime shave this range on offer with 2 bottles for £5.
After using this bath and shower gel then I really do have to recommend it as the smell is just wonderful. Do not let the boring colour put you off as it really is a great product which also left me feeling clean with soft skin which smelt lovely.
Ages ago I was walking through Asda and found myself loitering around the toiletries aisle. It's like the little bonus for having to put up with the rest of the "boring" shopping.
This bottle of NSpa's Vanilla Crème Brulee Bath and Shower Gel caught my eye because it reminded me somewhat of the Philosophy range looks wise, but with a much lower price tag at just £2! I of course couldn't resist a smell and I was absolutely bowled over by it! I'm not joking, I can't even describe to you how gorgeous this smelt.
At the time I was so skint that I couldn't even afford £2, and to be honest, I had some Lush bath bombs at home from a free goodie bag I got so couldn't have really justified buying another bath product. However, I am not joking, after I left the store, and for the next few weeks, I couldn't stop thinking about how gorgeous this had smelt, and how much I wished I had bought it. The next time I was in Asda, I of course, went and got a bottle.
Whilst the packaging looks good (because it's a bit of a copy of Philosophy!) and the smell was more than delicious whilst in the bottle, I wasn't sure how this would actually perform. For a start, let's face it, it was really cheap, so I was pretty much expecting the smell to all but disappear the minute it hit the water, and also, it was made up pretty much entirely of chemicals and the like, so obviously wasn't going to be a treat for the skin.
The smell alone in the bottle was enough for me to love this though before I even tried it out. Of course it smelt of vanilla but in a dessert sort of way. A bit like a vanilla slice, or a crème caramel or just some sort of really sweet, vanilla smelling dessert. A Vanilla Crème Brulee even(!) Mmm I can't describe how gorgeous it smells.
As it can be used as a shower gel or bath product, it again made me worry a little. I'm not overly keen on things that want to be either/or, I'd rather them decide what they want to be and concentrate at being good at that one thing. I bought this largely to use in the bath as, as much as I loved the scent, for a shower I prefer a more uplifting scent, where as this was more calming, comforting and just very sweet.
When I first used it in the bath I couldn't believe the amount of bubbles it generated. It seriously put anything by Lush, or any other bubble bath I have used to shame. There were mounds and mounds of them, they were practically spilling out of the bath. There is the whole quality versus quantity issue though, and whilst there was more bubbles here than I ever could have imagined, they were "superficial" bubbles. If you have only ever used a regular bubble bath, you would just think of these as normal bubbles, and that's fine. If you have used a Lush bubble bar, you have been spoilt, and once you have had the creamy, silky, substantial bubbles that you can rub over your skin and they literally feel like heaven, the bubbles that feel like air and are there merely for decoration don't quite compare. It was fun to look at the sheer amount of bubbles, but that's all they were there for, to look at, they didn't feel nice or anything.
The smell, didn't disappear as I anticipated, it remained lovely throughout the bath, as strong as anything by Lush so I was more than happy. I absolutely love this scent and it was just so nice to be surrounded in it. It felt very comforting, like comfort eating, without the calories.
Of course, as mentioned, this is made up of a load of rubbish basically. It's not luxury, despite perhaps wanting to be. I had heard of NSpa before and thought they were actually quite a "spa" like brand, like The Sanctuary, whose products I've been happy with, but whilst this has Spa in the title that's all, it doesn't behave like a luxury product. There is nothing in it to benefit your skin, muscles, mind etc. It's a nice smell, and mounds of bubbles, but that's all.
I have also used this as a shower gel in the past and again, it does the job, it cleans you, but obviously doesn't actually do anything for your skin. In the shower the scent was lovely and strong and really nice, but I do think it is more of a bathing scent.
After using this my skin was neither dried out nor moisturised, it stayed largely the same as before the bath. I think most people will be fine using this, so long as you don't expect any great benefits, but if you have particularly dry or sensitive skin you may want something a little more nourishing in your bath.
The scent didn't linger on my skin at all, which was a shame, but it was lovely during the experience.
All in all I would buy this again. The smell is so delicious I can't help but love it despite it's downfalls. Could it have been better? Yes. But it was still satisfactory. At £2 for a bottle that will get you absolutely loads of baths and/or showers out of it, you can't exactly complain. I wouldn't use this for a luxury bath or if I needed pampering or chilling out, but if I simply fancied a bath and either didn't have a luxury product to hand/couldn't afford one/wasn't feeling bad enough to justify one, then I would turn to this as my budget option every time.
Best budget bath gel out there in my opinion, but obviously not even comparable to luxury baths.
