I absolutely love Olay products so when I saw this body wash costing £1.00 in Poundland I couldn't wait to get it home as a nice skin treat for myself! Usually this retails at about £1.89 a bottle in Boots or Superdrug (and of course lots of other places!) and I knew I was getting a bit of a bargain at the point of purchase!
Well as far as I'm aware of this is only available to buy in one size, the one I own lol. It's a clear and slightly curvy see-through tall plastic bottle and to the top of it, it has a flip-top lid opening concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle I'm told in black and green writing that it is Olay Body (small gold head emblem that is the branding of Olay can be seen), Fresh Reviving Body Wash With Ginseng Extract and there is a green and white weird pattern on there and the size is stated. On the back of the bottle other information includes directions for use being given, ingredients are listed and contact details for Procter & Gamble UK are listed (the manufacturer of Olay products). The bottle being slightly curved is easy to handle when in the shower or bath, it's plain and simple to look at and they haven't simply aimed this in it's appearance to women either, so men won't be ashamed to be seen with this!
This is as the bottle suggests. A very simple body wash/shower gel. All you do is rub it over a damp wet/body with the method you want to use. Personally I always apply about the size of a 10p piece to my trusted scrunchie and away I go!
The gel is light green and transparent and smells rather nice. When using it, it has a none distinctive fruity kind of aroma to it with a little bit of sugary sweetness to it that is rather pleasant and not too whiffy, but rather mild and gentle.
It's gentle in use, lathers up rather well and I find I can shave my bits and bobs with this if I want to, and it rinses off with ease. All in all an easy to use body wash that is none irritating and leaves you feeling cleansed and very refreshed indeed.
However as I said earlier men could use this if they wanted to. I mean when using the body wash I guess you could say it smells a little feminine and it's certainly not aimed at the male market or owt but once rinsed off the skin although you feel clean and skin is left slightly hydrated the smell left on skin is really incredibly light indeed, the sugary smell vanishes and really if any fragrance is left it's just very slightly fruity.
This is a nice easy to use and economical product but it doesn't offer much really. If it's a pound a bottle then fine but I wouldn't pay any more for it really. It leaves my skin clean and soft but it isn't the best body wash I've ever used. Nice enough though, I just can't over enthuse about it!
