The name Milk and Honey conjures up images of Elizabeth Taylor adorned with gold playing Cleopatra and certainly on first smell this shower gel does nothing to dispel this picture. The price however is a lot closer to Amanda Barrie's fabulous Carry On performance and as I sit in the bath and smother my legs in this gorgeously smelling shower milk I can't help hoping that some of that Egyptian inspired sixties glamour will transfer itself onto me.
The fragrance of this shower gel is just strong enough to be obvious but not so dramatic that it will last longer than the bath and compete with my perfume. It also manages to do what similar products doesn't and that is actualy smell of honey and milk rather than have that fake sweetness. The formula is lovely and soft but has a smoothness to it that makes it perfect to use whilst shaving.
My friends and family are aware of the fact that I am a complete cosmetics junkie and I love trying new things out so I very often receive beauty products. One of the family member got me Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Moisturising Shower Cream.
It comes in a white tube with a golden base. I think it looks very luxurious and is also very convenient - you don't need to turn the vessel upside down when you are running out of this shower cream. However, I think that this plastic bottle slips out of my hands very easily (which might be annoying when I have wet hands).
The shower cream itself has a golden colour and quick a thick texture. I like it because you don't need much to produce a lot of foam and to wash yourself. One tube lasts for a relatively long time.
The shower cream itself smells absolutely lovely. It doesn't smell like real milk & honey, it is a bit superficial but I still think it's lovely. In my opinion, it is 'love-it-or-hate-it' sort of smell. I definitely fall into the first group, after using this shower cream I bought the rest of the Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold cosmetics because I like it so much. Unfortunately, this one disappears really quickly from both my skin and my bathroom.
Even though I haven't noticed any moisturising after using this shower cream, I don't have a drier skin either so it is fine by me.
One bottle of this shower cream is 200ml big and normally costs £6.45 but can be found on promotion quite frequently. It can be bought from Orilfame reps.
