I have tried a lot of cosmetic products by this famous company "Oriflame". Even when I wasn't looking for ingredients, I prefer some of them. For example, this shower gel I have bought a couple of years ago and must state, that it can bring you nice feelings during taking a bath or a shower, because it has thick consistency, extract f coconut makes real pleasure and a big foam, that helps clean your body with water.
So as I said that I didn't look for a good composition at the lable, but later I have found some interesting and agressive components, like Propylene glycole, Sodium laureth sulfate, peg-40 castor oil, besides that there is a cocos nucifera extract too. Some people and facts say about its harmful properties and prefer products with better composition, more natural extracts. Really our skin needs a good care from us and we have to take care of it, maybe some elements can go through its barrier to internal organs and systems of our bodies, so can accumulate inside and sometimes people have to know how to clean theirselves of toxins, that can enter and act by using different ways.As I know a lot of good cosmetics companies continue using such preservatives.
What about my feelings, I have already said that I like that texture and I'm fond of coconut smell, coconut oil, extracts and so on.It really can moisturise, refresh, can make our moods better and strengthen our skin, all by natural way.
I like the scent of coconut more than the fruit itself and I sometimes buy coconut cosmetics. This is why I bought Oriflame Shower Gel with Moisturising Coconut and Ricemilk. This shower gel is meant mostly for people with dry skin but I thought that even though mine is normal, it is not going to cause any harm.
It comes in a simple, transparent bottle with pictures of coconut. The gel itself is creamy white so we can easily see how much is left in the bottle. Its scent is extremely sweet (so sweet I actually want to drink it!) and resembles coconut quite well, I cannot smell the ricemilk though.
The texture is OK, not too thick. I personally would call it quite runny but I am used to fairly thick Body Shop shower gels, however, it is definitely not as runny as water. It foams very well and does its job - cleansing - well.
As I have said before, I have a normal skin (with tendency to dry in a few places) but I haven't noticed any moisturising effects after using this shower gel. It definitely hasn't dried my skin out which is a good thing.
It took me around three weeks to use the whole bottle up. 200 ml bottle normally costs £4.45 whereas for 400 ml you will pay £6.45. They do occur on offer fairly frequently (Oriflame has offers in each of their catalogues). You can buy it from an Oriflame rep.
Overall, it is a good shower gel and if you are a coconut fan, then you will probably like it but it isn't anything special. I give it three stars because even though there aren't many things I dislike about it, it didn't amaze me.
