I've really enjoyed the Original Source shower gels since my childhood, so upon seeing the bath foams, I couldn't resist having a try. I am used to using these products to refresh myself for a day of study/work/etc, so I didn't really know what to expect from a bath foam. But I was more than pleasantly surprised when I first poured the gel into the bath.
The scent is divine, much like the shower gels, and they do incredibly well at relaxing the body and the mind. It genuinely feels like you're bathing in a pool of shea butter and coconut. I also used the lavender and the Mint Tea Tree blends and they are equally as appealing overall.
I feel that the smell doesn't last as long as the shower gels do, sometimes only lasting until the next morning if I have bathed that night.
I also feel that it can be a little overpriced unless you buy it on sale, though this may just be due to the bigger bottles.
I was brought a bottle of Original Source Lavender & Tea Tree Bath Foam for my birthday in June. I am a big fan of bathing at the moment and am loving trying new/different products so couldn't wait to get started on this bottle.
I've never used any other products in the Original Source range so really didn't know what to expect.
A very simple, clear 500ml bottle with a black screw cap. The liquid inside is a purple colour which adds to the bottles overall appearance. The labelling is recognisable to the range and gives out a lot of information at first glance. The label states
- Original Source, Lavender and Tea Tree Bath Foam, Relaxing.
Serving Suggestion (which I found comical for a bath product) - For ultimate relaxation. Pour in and Chill Out
Best before - A relaxing night in.
The bath foam is fairly thick. I found with it being thick allowed me to put in a small amount, and you do only need a small amount as it foams up a treat. I blast on the cold tap and pour it under running water and give it a stir in the water and it looks very inviting at this point.
Without even reading the bottle you can tell it contains Lavender and Tea Tree on opening and once poured into the water still holds its smell. It lingers in the bathroom after use aswell.
As I mentioned this was a birthday present so was unsure of the cost but I have had a look round and generally a 500ml bottles costs £2.00 in most supermarkets/health shops.
I was very impressed with this product and will definitely use this one again but I'm also looking forward to trying other flavours once this has run out.
I would definitely say if you like a relaxing soak in the bath give this a go.
After being converted to the Original Source Mint and tea tree, pure mint etc shampoos I was a little dubious as to how the foam bath would feel. If I want to be refreshed I have a shower but a bath is to relax. How on earth could a mint foam bath do this. Well I finally succumbed to the purchase of the tea tree and mint bath foam when it was on a buy one get one free offer. What can I say but Wow. It does relax you. It also gives you a refreshing facial and I have NEVER come out of the bath feeling sooo clean. A definite for recharging and destressing
