Advantages: Leves skin clean and smooth
Disadvantages: None really
Original Source detoxifying body scrub is now an essential part of my washing routine, as with so many things I originally bought it on offer from a supermarket and now I cannot be parted from it. It currently retails for 1.96 in Tesco for a 200ml tube.
My skin is strange stuff, depending where on my body I use a body scrub it either makes me break down in spots or it clears up my skin, it is the same with any product I use so its obviously me thats the problem. I never use it on my shoulders or back or I will see an instant breakout within a day, but I have excellent results with it on my chest, stomach, bottom and thighs and so this is where I always use it.
I am not sure what detoxifying means in realaion to my skin, does it mean it reduces cellulite? it doesnt elaborate on the tube so I guess not. All it says on the tube relating to the contents is -
"Original Source body scrubs are packed full of natural stuff", which is true, it contains Seaweed to rebalance the body (is this after you fall over in the shower?) Luffa to exfoliate and Milk Thistle as it has antioxidant properties.
You can see the aqua green scrub through the large see-through squeezy plastic tube. I presume that is mainly for use in the bath and it doesnt have a handle for hanging whilst in the shower, but on the back of the tube it tells me to use instead of my normal shower gel. hmmm. Well I use it in the shower and bath, sometimes on its own, sometimes after using shower gel and other times before, and I dont think this effects
The scrub has a very slimey gel texture to it, because of the seaweed content maybe? the granules are very small and sparce in the gel so you may assume that it wouldnt be rough enough to exfoliate your skin fully, normally I find body scrubs to have large granules in them for tougher areas of skin on the body than in facial scrubs for example. I really like the smell it is very clean and fresh, definately not of seaweed! In fact it smells like some of the lynx body sprays for men, so i presume it is marketed as a unisex product??
Anyway..Im happy to say that this gentle exfoliator leaves my skin feeling very smooth and clean every day and i dont feel the need to change to any other product.
Summary: Gentle Body Scrub suitable for all.
