As with other Original Source shower gels, the vanilla milk & raspberry is often on offer (half price or BOGOF) meaning you can get it for around £1 a bottle, otherwise it is closer to £2. So, what do you get for your money? A very creamy shower gel which lathers nicely and is a really nice consistency - it's not too watery so doesn't slip through your fingers like some other shower gels.
This shower gel also has a really nice fragrance, it isn't as zingy as some of their others but more of a calming, warming fragrance. The gel itself is a milky pink colour and comes in the usual style of Original Source bottle, where the product is dispensed from the bottom, meaning gravity is on your side. This is only a bit of an issue when you get to the end of the product and find it a struggle to get the last of it out - I usually add a bit of water, shake it all around, et voila.
All in all a lovely shower gel well worth purchasing.
I'm currently using up as many toiletries as possible, to make room for the new ones I received at Christmas! The latest shower cream I bought prior to Christmas was this Original Source one which had been reduced in Morrisons from £2.20 to £1.10. I usually love Original Source products, as they tend to smell great and I know they contain more natural ingredients than many of the alternatives, so when I spot them on offer I tend to choose them over anything else.
The shower cream is in a plastic bottle which tapers towards the top, and opens by a flip lid on the bottom. This is good for ensuring that you get every last bit of the product out of the bottle. I find the consistency very creamy, and it lathers well and feels luxurious to use. The only issue I have with the consistency is that it is slightly gloopy, so sometimes when I dispense it into my hand, it can flop off on the floor before I have chance to use it - annoying, as I hate waste!
I wasn't sure if the fragrance of this might be a bit too sickly sweet, and although it's probably not to everyone's taste, I personally love it. It's very girly, as you'd expect from the colour of the product, and smells of raspberries predominantly. I don't really notice the vanilla, but it is a very sweet smell so I guess this is part of the reason. I find it uplifting, but this is probably because it reminds me of milkshake! It also lingers in the bathroom for a while after using it. I'm using it in our en-suite at the moment, and it wafts through to the bedroom which is nice. It doesn't linger on my skin after using it, however, which is fine with me because I'm not sure I'd want to walk round smelling like a milkshake anyway.
As with all products from the Original Source range, we are given a little story behind the making of the shower gel. Apparently, it took 82 British sunrises for the raspberries to become ripe enough to use, and they were squeezed with Vanilla Milk to make this moisturising shower cream. The fragrances are 100% natural, and they don't test on animals. I do favour the ethics and natural ingredients of this company, it's a refreshing change these days with all the additives and false ingredients you tend to get in everything.
I would definitely use this shower cream again, it feels luxurious and smells delicious. I think it's probably more moisturising than using a shower gel, due to the creaminess, but I always apply body lotion at this time of year anyway, to keep my skin moisturised. I'm knocking a star off because of the wastage from it slipping off my hand occasionally, and also because the fragrance is very girly and so not to everyone's taste.

Original Source Raspberry and Milk Shower Gel ~
Bought for one English pound at ASDA also available at mu local Poundland
Having discovered that I was a fan on the Vanilla milk and Raspberry hand soap when I saw this shower gel I just had to try it. The shower gel comes in a 500ml bottle and for the price paid I would say it is good value for money.
The gel itself is a nice consistency although it may b e a bit runnier than some others there are on the market. As with other Original Source products it is made with 100% natural fragrances and is not tested on animals (I don't think much is any more though)...
The product itself is a pale pink in colour and the see through bottle allows you to see how much you have left of the product. The smell is amazing. When I purchased the hand soap I couldn't believe how fast the bottle was going down until I realised I was washing my hands upstairs more often than usual (the smell was too good to resist). The same could be said for the shower gel - it has a soft fruity fragrance which seems to have an undertone of vanilla (having always said I wasn't a fan I'm quickly becoming a convert)... I find that when I particularly like the smell of a shower gel I use handfuls of it, to make the scent last longer, hence the fact this one is running out so fast.
I find that although the scent is lovely after you have first used it, it does not last all day however it lathers well, and does not leave any nasty residue after use. I have sensitive skin and have had no issues with this product. I find the product to be a wonderful way of starting the day, and can't recommend it enough at such bargain prices.

Original Source make a large range of skin care products including Shower Gel, Men's Products, Hand Wash, Bath Products and Hair Care Products. Original Source uses Natural Ingredients in their products and don't test their products on animals. They are always looking for new ingredients to use in their products and are always coming up with new products, ideas and packaging designs. Their range of products contain lots of different ingredients including Almond, Chilli, Ginger, Honey, Orange, Spearmint, Cocoa, Pineapple, Lavender, Lime, Shea Butter and more. Their products can be found in various different stores including Boots, Superdrug and some local supermarkets and shops. I have heard of Original Source products before and have seen a few of their television adverts advertising their shower products. My boyfriend has used the Mint & Tea Tree shower product before and although I didn't really like this product as I found the smell slightly over-powering it looked like a fantastic product to use that was full of fragrance.
= = = = = =
The product is made by Original Source and is a Vanilla Milk & Raspberry Shower product packed with Natural Fragrances. This particular shower product is said to be moisturising to your skin. Raspberries have always been an indulgent treat and are known for their detoxifying quality which is why they have been used in this particular product. The Vanilla milk in the product helps to moisturise you skin and keep it feeling soft and smooth. The product claims to leave your skin feeling smooth and smelling sweet. I was looking forwards to using this product as I have heard lots of good reviews about Original Source products. I decided to purchase this particular one as I love the smell of Vanilla and the smell of the Vanilla and Raspberries together sounded lovely. I did also sniff the product when I was in store purchasing it and it smelt delicious. I was hoping it was going to leave a slight scent on my skin from using the product. The Shower cream comes in a tall bottle which is a flat square like shape which gets thinner towards to the top of the bottle. The bottle stands on its lid which is black and simply flips open to reveal a round hole in which the product can be dispensed. On the front of the product you can clearly see that it's made by Original Source and what fragrance it has. You can also see the colour of the product which is a very light pink colour. On the back of the bottle it tells you a bit of information about the product and that the product has a natural fragrance and is made in the UK. You will also find a list of ingredients, how to use the product and contact information for Original Source.

I purchase this from my local Boots store for £2.30 which is for a 250ml bottle of the product. You can also purchase this online from the Boots website. I have also seen this product in Superdrug as well. Please note that prices may vary in different stores and during different times of the year. Other Shower Gel products in this range include the following:
* Almond & Black Cherry
* British Strawberry
* Shea Butter & Honey
* Lavender & Tea Tree
* Lemon & Tea Tree
* Mint & Tea Tree
Using the Product
= = = = = = = =
I stood under the shower for a few minutes to ensure all my skin was wet and then I flipped open the lid and squeezed some of the shower cream on to a body puff. The shower cream was a very light colour, just like a very light milky pink colour. As soon as I dispensed some of the product I could smell the gorgeous smell of what I would describe as milkshake. I started to rub the puff over my wet skin and as I did this a white, rich lather built up. The more the lather covered my body the stronger the smell was and the smell was delicious. It really did smell like strawberry milkshake and it smelt so sweet, good enough to eat. The lather was really soft on my skin and I felt as though the shower cream was doing a really good job of cleansing my skin. After I was covered in the lather I stood under the shower and rinsed off. The leather rinsed off easily with water. I noticed as soon as the lather had all been washed off the smell of the product was no longer as strong as it was, in fact I could barely smell the product anymore at all. I was a little surprised at this as I expected the smell to last a little longer so I was now intrigued to find out whether the product had left a light scent on my skin. I got out of the bath and dried myself and felt my skin. My skin felt soft and smooth and it also felt really clean. I couldn't smell any trace of the product on my skin though which I was a little disappointed by.

I have heard many good things about Original Source products so had really high hopes from this particular product. The packaging to the product is simple yet attractive and stands out from other brands. This particular product smelt delicious and I loved the fact that it smelt so much of strawberry milkshake. The product was kind & gentle to my skin which was good as I sometimes suffer from eczema and have sensitive skin. The product left no irritation to my skin and didn't dry it out or make it feel itchy. The product does produce a lovely rich lather which I love when using shower products. The smell of the product was lovely, especially when using it as the smell got stronger. I was disappointed how quickly the smell of the product disappeared and I was also disappointed that the smell of the product didn't stay on my skin slightly. In terms of value I don't think the product is badly priced and I probably would buy it again or buy another product in the range. This didn't quite live up to my expectations but it wasn't a bad product.

Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry shower gel
I have always loved herbs and plants and fruity natural smells. One of my favourite summer fruits are raspberries and strawberries as the smell of these fruits just reminds me of perfect English summers. When I saw this bottle on sale in my local Tesco I just had to buy it.
On the front of the bottle we are told that it took 82 sunrises to create the mixture, presumably the length of time to ripen the raspeberries.
Original Source state that they only use 100% pure and natural essential oils this statement is clearly visible on the website and on the product packaging.They do not use any synthetic perfumes, the scent in their products comes only from essential oils and natural fragrances which have a very strong smell. These ingredients are extracted from plants as they provide natural scents and essential oils which are better for us and the environment too. Essential oils are known to have physiological and psychological effects and many people believe they can help improve health. However If you are pregnant you should always check with your midwife or GP before using any products that contain essential oils..
My bottle of Vanilla Milk and Rasperry Shower gel is in a sort of frosted plastic bottle with a black flip top lid, which is really easy to remove and replace. The bottle is a strange shape, square edged but tapered to thinner at the top which I suspect was designed to make it easy to stand up safely on bathroom shelves and on the sides of the bath. Without the chance of tipping accidently and this does do the trick. Clearly written on the front of the bottle are the words Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Gel in red. On the back label there is all the blurb about the ingredients stating that this contains only natural fragrances such as raspberry fruit extract and vanilla.The bottle is recyclable plastic.
Inside the bottle, the bath soak is a beautiful subtle creamy pink, the colour of raspberry milkshake. It is real rosey pink and a very feminine colour so probably not for the 'real men' in this world! The advantage of the colourless frosted bottle is that it needs no decoration, the product shows itself off.
As you remove the lid from the bottle the smell is really quite powerful and very fruity and yet creamy. To me it smells just like a fruit milkshake or raspberry ice cream. Think Raspberry ripple with extra creaminess and that is what this smells like
The long list of ingredients which are clear to read on the back of the bottle include raspberry extract, vanilla pod, and other fruit extract as well as glycerine which is good for softenimg skin.
What is it like to use?
What is it like in the bath? Well I always have a sniff as I open the lid and pour out the wonderful clear pink creamy coloured thick liquid into my bath or more often I use it as you would a shower gel straight on to my skin, lather and then rinse off. The smell is wonderfully f.
After I have enjoyed a bath with this my whole bathroom is filled with the lovely warm steamy smell of juicy raspberries and cream which is quite sweet but really beautiful, and such a wonderfully summery smell and so English too. As our bathroom is next to our bedroom is provides a lovely room freshener as well which is a perk
After my bath I feel nicely relaxed and stress free and smell like sweet fruity and yet fresh and creamy. I do suffer with dry skin and eczema and this has no adverse reaction and in fact should help as the essential oil properties are meant to help with skin conditions like eczema.
A bit about the company ethics :
Original Source products state that they do not test their products on animals or use any products that have been tested by any other third party .They are also registered with the vegan society and are also a member of the aromatherapy trade council all of this I found on their website.
A niggly bit:
Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Lauryl Sulfateis listed in the ingredients on this bottle and indeed you will find this in almost all products that produce foam. This is a controversial substance, which has been linked with carcinogens and is avoided by those who prefer natural products. This does not go with the natural claims of this product but I do know it is actually pretty difficult to find any bubble bath that doesn't contain it. However if you are one of those who really strongly believes in totally natural products then this may put you off.
If you have any queries or comments you'd like to make regarding this product then you can contact them as follows:

I love this bath foam as the smell is summery fruity and yet the creamy vanilla combines so well with it.. My skin has never had an adverse reaction to this product and the smell stays gently on my skin as I dry myself off and lasts for a while after I'm dry. It is not so overpowering that you could not bath with the then use another perfume to wear out - it is strong in the bottle and the bath in use but does not remain strong on your skin. I always feel nice and relaxed and calm after my bath when using this. I would say that this is rather more aimed at the female market than the male but this is not written in stone just my personal opinion! My husband has not been tempted but is happy to share my bath after I have used it!
I paid around £1.10 from Tesco for this but it does sometimes sell for nearly double so keep your eye open for sale prices.
Thank you for reading. This review may be posted on other sites under my same user name.
I love Original Source products. I like their simple packaging and organic and natural credentials which separate them from so many other brands on the market. It is rare to find a cheaper end cosmetics brand caring so much for the smaller details such as making sure they are vegan friendly. This is usually the domain of higher end products. But Original Source has a real eye for detail despite its products selling for just a few pounds. I usually have an Original Source shower product of some description on the go but tend to buy one from the citrus range. The Vanilla Milk and Raspberry version is a slightly different scent for me.
The Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower comes in Original Source's typically angular bottle with a black flip top lid on the bottom. The bottle is frosted to allow the colour of the product to show through. Original Source shower gels tend to be bold and rich in colour. This particular one is white with ever such a subtle hint of pink.
Original Source shower product labels are usually free of images and just consist of block capital letters describing the contents and a little slogan at the top describing such and such a number of - and what ever the main ingredient of the shower gel is - went into making this product. This milk and raspberry version is slightly different as it states 82 British sunrises helped make one moisturising bottle of this Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry packed with natural fragrance Shower. It is a slightly different take on their usual style but still stresses the natural and organic nature of the product. The final detail on the front of the bottle is a little Vegan label.
Turning the product around the reverse of the bottle reads the shower gel has 100 per cent natural fragrance. The blurb has a friendly, conspiratorial tone. "We've waited 82 British sunrises for these raspberries to ripen before we squeezed them with vanilla milk into this recyclable bottle. This moisturising shower will leave your skin soft and smelling sweet."
Next comes a black box with a series of cartoon-like images on, which is dubbed the Original Source Guide. This further emphasises the natural fragrance, it is tested on us - humans I assume - it is recyclable, it is vegan, made in the UK and packed with natural stuff.
The directions for use are similarly quirky - "Original Source and Water equals one softened you." The bottle contains 250ml of product. The only thing I don't understand is why they insist on calling this product a shower rather than a shower gel or shower crème.
The shower gel is rather thin on squeezing it out onto my hand and some of the product gets lost on the bottom of the shower when I start to spread it over me. The smell is very much like raspberry milkshake. It is not an unpleasant smell and bathing in milk didn't seem to do Cleopatra too much harm - though I suppose that point is debatable - but it wouldn't be my top scent of choice. I was hoping the scent would be a stronger fruity smell and less like a milky drink.
I am also slightly disappointed that it is not as creamy a shower gel as you would perhaps expect. In this way it is not as indulgent as other similar products.
I do rate Original Source for the healthy and well moisturised effect their products have on the skin and this product is no different. In fact the added milk is extra moisturising if anything so it does live up to its big moisturising claims.
The only other problem is because the cap is on the base of the bottle, if you leave it in the shower, the bottle does slowly fill with water and the product start to get a little diluted.
I am a big fan of Original Source shower products and I still am, but the Vanilla Milk and Raspberry version is not my preferred scent. It is a little too like milkshake and the thinness of the product seems at odds with the creamy look and colour of the product in the bottle. I think I will stick to my citrus scents in future
One of the things I find myself only occasionally purchasing is shower gel and creams. The reason for this is that I don't have a shower in my home (only a bath) however occasionally I do go to my mates for a shower and my mate baths here (as she doesnt have a bath lol).
This I spotted for a pound a bottle in my local Poundland and usually liking the Original Source stuff I took a sniff of this and immedietely loved the fresh, sweet scent of this and bought it along with a few other bargains!
Distinctive packaging for an Original Source product this is. The bottle this comes in holds 250ml of the shower cream and that comes in a white frosted oblong (tapering to the top) bottle and it has a black flip top lid to the bottom of the bottle which conceals a small hole and then on the front of the bottle we are told that it is Vanilla Milk & Raspberry Shower Cream and that it is packed with natural fragrance and that it takes 82 British sunrises to help make one bottle of this 'Original Source'. On the back of the bottle other infomration listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, the size is stated (as I have listed already), the ingredients are listed and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Nice enough, simple bottle this is, easy to hold and to squeeze and so on and I do like being able to see the light pink liquid slightly through the bottle so I know when it is time to replace it, should I want to!
Well all you need is a rather small blob of this light pink, creamy looking shower cream and I dispense it on to my shower scrunchy or sponge and apply it to damp/wet skin. It froths up nicely and releases a wonderful naturally sweet almost milkshake fragrance of the raspberries. This is a a very girly scent I think and I simply love it, its gorgeous! I feel cleansed after using it and my skin although not greatly moisturised or silky soft does feel soft enough and not agitatted at all. I can shave my bits and bobs with this as well and all round I find this is a very pleasant shower cream as well as one that works out a very econimcal purchase as well.
Sadly though although I enjoy the process well enough of using this I don't find the scent to linger on my skin at all, in fact once I'm dried off I can't smell it at all on me which really is a shame considering that my mates bathroom smells heavenly after I've used it!
All in all though is a nice enough product and very worth the pound I paid for it though I would think twice about buying it from places such as Boots and all good supermarkets if retailing at about £2.00 a bottle (its usual price!).

Superdrug recently had an offer on Original Source Shower Gel and I took the opportunity to stock up on them. They were reduced to 99p as opposed to their regular price of £2.29 so it seemed an ideal time to try some of their fragrances. One I was keen to buy was the Vanilla Milk and Raspberry as I had tried this one in the past and really liked it.
Original Source shower gel bottles are made from clear plastic and are rectangle in shape and have a black flip top lid which the bottle sits on. The front of the bottle has the Original Source logo on it along with the fragrance which is Vanilla Milk and Raspberry. The front of the bottle also informs the customer that the shower gel is packed with natural fragrance.
There is a pink label on the back of the bottle which gives directions for use which are:- Original Source + Water = 1 Softened You. The instructions are also given if you choose to read them. The label gives one small warning which states" be careful to avoid eyes, its not for them its for your body".
The actual gel is white is colour and although not runny it isn't as thick as others in this range, but not a lot is needed on your sponge or body puff to create mass of sweet smelling lather that leaves me feeling clean and fresh. The gel smells just like raspberry milk shake, its sweet and fruity and definitely more suited to women than men, in my opinion anyway, and Mark my husband also informed me its a bit too girly for him. I also like to use this gel in the bath rather than the shower, while Original Source do some lovely refreshing fragranced shower gels I like to use this in a relaxing bath at the end of the day rather than first thing.
According to Original Source vanilla milk and raspberry shower gel should leave you feeling moisturised, whilst I haven't actually noticed any moisturising qualities after using it my skin hasn't felt dried out either. Original source only use natural ingredients in their products and it shows. They smell so natural, there's nothing false or chemical about them. They are also against animal testing and all their shower gel bottles are recyclable.
All in all I think Original Source is a very nice range, this one smells sweet, fruity and very natural. I find it lathers very well and leaves me feeling clean and relaxed. I'm glad I bought several bottles while it was on offer but would be happy to pay full price for it too.
Wow! I love all of the shower gels in the range but I have to say that this is, without doubt, my absolute favourite!!! Whereas some of the other 'flavours' are all about the zing and wake me up, this one is much 'softer' in terms of scent and is a delight to use in the morning when waking up or before bed when ready to snuggle down.
The smell is really difficult to describe, it truly smells edible!! It is fresh and quite simply yummy! I liked it so much that after my first time of using it, I went straight out and bought the hand soap to match!!
It lathers up beautifully and is good for use with or without a sponge/flannel. I've used it in the bath and also in the shower and in either case it is just as lovely.
This really is a shower gel that will, from this point on, become a perminent feature in my bathroom - no way that I will tire of this scent!!!!
I am not brand loyal when it comes to shower gels and normally purchase what is on a good special offer at the time. One of the brands of shower gel that I always keep my eye out for offers on is the Original Source ones. This is because not only are they good quality they also have gorgeous fragrances, including my favourite Vanilla Milk and Raspberry.
Original Source toiletry products contain only natural fragrances. The company aims to source as many of its ingredients for its products as it can in the UK and works closely with the fair-trade foundation and the Vegan society. It also only tests its products on people and not animals. To find out more you can visit there very nice website www.originalsource.co.uk.
The shower gel comes in a 250ml bottle and was on a half price special offer at just £1.10 in Boots recently. In my opinion this was a great price and I think I will be stocking up while this offer is on, as the full price is a little out of my budget.
The bottle is made of a clear plastic which is smooth on the front and textured on the back. The bottle allows you to be able to see how much of the light pink coloured shower gel is left inside so you can make sure u replace it before it runs out. I do like the way the bottle stands on the flip top cap as it allows the shower gel to be ready to squeeze out straight away rather than having to wait for it to reach the top and shaking the bottle when it is running out. The labels on the front of all Original Source toiletries always have modern block print writing on the front which always contains a fact about the product inside. This Vanilla Milk and Raspberry shower gel's fact is that '82 British sunrises helped to make one bottle', which relates to how many sunrises it took for the Raspberry's to ripen before they were just right to use to make the shower gel. I love the addition of these little facts as it makes you aware of just how much thought and hard work goes into making a quality product like this. The bottle is also made out of recycled plastic and also has recycle instructions on the back to allow you to do your bit for the planet too.
The shower gel itself is easy to get out of the bottle by flipping the black cap open and squeezing the bottle. The shower gel has a rather thick somewhat jellified texture. The pale pink colour makes the shower gel quite feminine looking which suits me perfectly as I love anything pink. You can smell the shower gel as soon as you squeeze it out of the bottle, it has a gorgeous sweet, fruity fragrance which smells almost good enough to eat! I always use my shower gels on a body puff as I like the way it seems to make the shower gel foam up a little more and also helps to exfoliate my skin a little. I have found that this shower gel does not lather up as much as some do which is a little disappointing but the lovely fragrance makes up for that. After using the shower gel my skin feels lovely and soft and the fragrance does linger on my skin but is not overpowering so does not clash with my perfume.
Overall I really do love this shower gel and it is one of my favourites, just for the fragrance alone!
I've been using Original Source shower gels on and off for a few years and had recently noticed a few new flavours appearing on the shelves...the Vanilla Milk & Raspberry one particularly caught my eye mainly because it looked a bit more girly than the usual Lemon and Mint ones (which I feel are more aimed at men) So I went ahead and bought it from Morrisons where it was on offer for £1. The usual retail price for these is roughly £2.20 but can vary slightly from store to store.
The bottle holds 250ml of shower gel which is about normal and it comes in a sturdy plastic bottle which is an unusual oblong shape. The shower gel is dispensed from the bottom of the bottle so it's always easy to get out and it has a lid which simply snaps back (so doesn't have to be completely removed therefore cant get lost!) The bottle is slightly frosted but generally clear so you can see the pink shower gel through and the majority of the writing on the front is in a dark pink colour. Overall the bottle is still traditional Original Source style but with a girly twist.
The first thing I noticed was the lovely smell. It was just what I expected, a fresh raspberry smell but not too fruity due to a nice creamy undertone which also gave it a sweet edge. The smell is definitely girly so I don't need to worry about my boyfriend stealing this one. I also didn't find the smell too strong, some of the other Original Source shower gels such as the mint flavour are enough to make your eyes water, but this one was much more subtle.
The shower gel itself was relatively thick and was actually more a cream than a gel. For this reason I found it didn't foam up that well which was a little disappointing... As a result of this I found myself using quite a lot of it to wash my whole body. However a bonus to the creamy consistency was that it felt really luxurious and moisturising, which was a real treat. The foam was easy to wash off and after drying off I was pleased to find that my skin still felt moisturised and I could still detect a faint whiff of the gorgeous smell.
Unfortunately because I was having to use quite a lot each time I found that the bottle didn't last quite as long as I would usually expect. Despite this I must admit that I went out and bought another 2 bottles whilst they were still on offer for £1 because I found the smell so amazing! But I definitely wouldn't pay the full price of £2.20 for something that only lasted that long.
I would definitely recommend this shower gel for its lovely smell and moisturising qualities. However for me a lot was required each time I used it and therefore the bottle didn't last very long, so I only see it as being worth the money when on offer.
I am a huge fan of all things Original Source and so when they have a new shower gel, hand wash or anything else released I am always keen to get hold of it thanks to the excellent experiences I have had with the vast majority of their products but sometimes there are ones where it is a borderline as to if I will try it or not and the vanilla milk and raspberry shower cream was such product but did it all end smoothly?
This shower cream leaves your skin feeling refreshed, soothed and smooth (see what I did there with the did it all end smoothly line eh?) and makes you feel pampered which as a guy is not something I aim for hugely but I did find to be somewhat of an experience.
The cream itself is of a good consistency (not too runny/watery and not too thick meaning it doesn't feel nice on your skin) meaning that you can use a little and it will go a long way whilst still allowing your skin to get the full benefit and sensations this promises.
The fragrance of the shower cream is gorgeous with the raspberry and vanilla complimenting each other perfectly to create a very sweet, refreshing and uplifting scent that brings a little smile to your face.
The shower cream comes in the bottle style mainly used by Original Source with their shower products which is fine by me. The bottle stands on its cap which means that it is securely on at all times and the cream itself is always ready to pour without the need to stand shaking the bottle to get the cream to come to the pourer. The bottle allows for great control over how much or how little you want too with a simple little squeeze being all that is needed to dispense a little of the sweet smelling pink cream.
This is great value for money as it sticks to the same pricing as the other Original Source shower gels and creams out there but provides that extra little bit of moisturising luxury.
This is a shower gel with a fragrance aimed more to the female market but I have given it a go and it is an impressive product. The cream manages to leave your skin feeling fresh and clean but with the added bonus of how soft and moisturised it also feels. The packaging is well thought out and delivers what you look for in as shower product bottle. The best thing other than the price of this for me though is the smell as this really is such a sweet marriage of vanilla and raspberry that just works beautifully.
After discovering a couple of new "flavours" in the Original Source range of shower gels, I was pleased that not only had I found a new favourite (pineapple) but also one for my husband too!
This particular shower gel initially attracted me due to the lovely pink colour of the gel showing through the opaque plastic bottle (all recyclable, even the lid!), yes, I am that cheap!
As with all of the other scents available in the range there is a brief product description across the front of the bottle, with this one not pertaining to amounts of fruits in the bottle, but as to how many sunrises helped make a bottle of this (which incidentally was 82, and all British!).
As this is described as being "raspberry and vanilla milk" I was hopeful for a fruity yet skin conditioning experience (think Cleopatra and the asps milk!), which in fairness I always get with this brand.
The gel is nice and thick, with very little being needed to create a mound of fragrant bubbles (even more with my shower puff!).
After showering with it (repeatedly!), I found that my skin was indeed fresh and fragrant, even feeling a little smoother and softer after use.
The scent though was a bone of contention in my house! I felt that though pleasant enough, it held a more yoghurty scent than vanilla milk which although useable, still wasn't really my favourite scent in the range.
My husband however raved about this shower gel, with me even hiding it from the kids just so he could have his own stash, and not once did he moan about it smelling "girly", I will definitely be buying it for him again when on offer (not full price though, £1.84 a bottle is out of my price range!)
I purchased this from Asda for £1.00 a bottle, and though at full price at the moment, I have no doubts it will be sold at the cheaper price soon.

If you like your products environmentally sound this would be ideal, but if like me you just like a nice smelling bottle of something, (or your hubby does, meaning he will spend more time in the shower and away from the remote control!), this is the product for you, recommended!
