This is my staple body wash. I love it, it smells so sweet and lovely and I love the packaging. It makes me feel that the product is natural & good for your skin. There is a little symbol that says that it's Vegan, which always confuses me as I won't be eating it! I didn't even realise other body washes had animal products in! The bottle shape encourages maximum use of the product leaving little chance of any wastage. I'm very thrifty and always think that minimal wastage should be achieved, I've cut open bottles just to get that last little bit! Because the lid is on the bottom of the bottle, the product naturally is ready at your fingertips to use thanks to gravity! The clear bottle also makes it easy to see how much is left in the bottle so that you never get caught out! However, the sweet smell doesn't last once you've washed your body and towel dry. It just doesn't have the 'all day' smell. I do know that when my boyfriend uses the Tea Tree & Mint one that he's smelling like a polo all day, so I think it is just an issue with this particular body wash rather than the brand.
The Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Cream is contained in a funky and transparent 250ml bottle. Flip the lid and out comes a thick cream though a little bit runny. Non-the-less I find that it is easy to pour out the quantity I require without overspill. The colour is the pink of raspberries blended with milk. On the bottle the creative language, '82 British sunrises helped make one moisturising bottle of this' certainly makes it sound pure and fresh. Vegetarians and vegans will be happy with the ingredients as there are no animal products in this shower cream. The oils and fragrances are one hundred percent natural. This smells fresh and fruity and makes a lovely lather which feels smooth on the skin. For those who want to be in the know, here's the ingredients list: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate , Cocamidopropyl Betaine ,Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry Fruit) Extract, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract, Polyquaternium-7, Parfum, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Lactic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl p-Cresol, CI 14700 ,CI 42090 The perfume lingers for only a short while and it is not overwhelming to the senses. The cream is soft, and only small quantities need be applied each time, making the £1.95 go further. But you can beat me on the price I paid, as in Boots, the cost has gone down from a massive £2.30 to £1.50. Be quick to be sweet smelling for a small spell. Buy it and you will smell like a fresh summer's day but only for the first part of the morning!
I love trying out different types of shower gels and creams, and I have found Original Source to be a brand which makes natural and high quality products. I have tried and loved the lime variety and so I thought I would give the Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Cream a go. What does the product do? The product promises to cleanse the skin and to leave you feeling completely fresh and clean. It also claims that it will hydrate your skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth. It apparently contains raspberries that have been ripened by 82 'British sunrises' which have then been squeezed with Vanilla milk. The aroma is one hundred percent natural and the shower cream is vegan friendly. Packaging and Price The product comes in a clear plastic bottle through which you can see the creamy pink product inside. It is thin plastic so it is easy to squeeze and dispense the product. The bottle has a black flip top lid on which it can stand and it is easy to open and close the lid even when your hands are soapy and wet. The shower cream will cost you around £1.99 for 250ml and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a range of online websites. Application and Performance The product is a beautiful pale pink colour and it looks very nice on display in my bathroom. It has quite a runny consistency and it comes out quite quickly when you squeeze the bottle but this can be controlled. You can smell the aroma of the product immediately. It has a sweet and creamy fragrance and the fruitiness of the raspberries is easy to detect. It is completely natural and it doesn't smell over powering or get sickly with time. It helps to make the experience an even more enjoyable one. The shower cream can be applied to a sponge which can then be massaged onto the skin and it does make a creamy and rich lather that way which makes you feel like you are getting really clean. As the formula is creamy though, I chose to massage it straight into the skin so that some of the goodness can be absorbed. A little of this shower cream goes a long way so you don't need to use too much of this product in order to get the desired results. The shower cream is completely gentle on my skin and it hasn't caused me to experience any discomfort or irritations. It is easily rinsed off with minimal effort. It does leave you feeling really fresh and clean, and my skin does have a bit more softness to it although I do still need to apply a moisturiser. The aroma lingers lightly on the skin after use for a little while before fading away completely and it's a shame that it doesn't stick around for a bit longer. Conclusion All in all, this is another lovely shower cream by Original Source. It looks attractive in the body and smells delicious. A little of the product goes a long way and it left me feeling fresh and clean with my skin feeling soft and smooth. I would happily repurchase this shower cream.
After being bored with my other usual shower gels that sometimes do have boring smells. I found this sweet smelling stuff while browsing for a new one in my local supermarket. I smelt this before I bought it and I was in love with the smell, it's my favorite - Vanilla & Raspberry, it also reminds me of a Raspberry milkshake which i love of course! The bottle is packaged inside a easy-squeeze plastic packaging with a flip-bottom and squeeze mechanism lid, on the back it says that it is Vegan, and also says its tested on themselves. You also get a fair amount in the bottle which is 250ml. The first time using this I thought it was so creamy and moisturizing, the smell is just so desirable I would eat it if I could! I find that it really lathers up well and a little goes a long way, You can still smell it after you've come out the shower and your all dried, my boyfriend keeps telling me "ooh you smell nice" which I love to hear. It's also made my skin feel so soft and clean I sometimes leave my moisturizer of as I don't really need to use it. I've found my new favorite in shower gels, they also have a few other range of nice shower gels i'll be trying as this one is so nice!
I usually buy whatever shower gels are on offer and when I last needed some shower gel Tesco had this half price at £1.10. All their original source gels were in the sale but as I love all things sweet and fruity I chose this Vanilla milk and Raspberry one. Packaging This comes in an almost pyramid shaped bottle that stands on its head so the gel is always at the top ready to come out. The bottle in translucent so you can see the pale pink shower gel inside. The writing is big and clear with the original source logo in the centre and lots of pink writing. It says that 82 British sunrises helped make this, explained on the back that this is how long it took for the raspberries to grow. It boasts that the vanilla and raspberry fragrance is natural and that it is vegan also. The Gel The gel itself smells divine. The vanilla and raspberry come through really strong and it has a creamy smell that makes it smell like raspberry ice cream. When your using it the bathroom gets filled with the delicious scent. The gel itself is a pale pink. It's a little thinner than some shower gels which causes the bottle to get a bit messy but it gets a good lather up without being overly frothy. Would I buy it again? I would definitely buy this shower gel again. It smells lovely and does the job well. My only complaint is that full price it's a little more than some shower gels so I will stick to getting it when it is on offer.
Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry Shower Gel Original Source clearly state on their website: "We are a member of the Aromatherapy Trade Council and also work closely with the Vegan Society. Our products contain either pure and natural essential oils or natural extracts. We're not big fans of flying our products in from here, there and everywhere, so we source and produce as much as we can in the UK. After all, it's nice here." I do like many bath and shower products from various different brands and love trying new smells when they come out. Although my favourite is still Lush I do find the more available products such as Original Source to be very good and so often pick these up, after doing the sniff test, when I am doing the grocery shopping. The Bottle: Once again this is an opaque plastic recyclable bottle which is the usual Original source shape with which is a strange shape, square edged but tapered to thinner at the p which I suspect was designed to make it easy to stand up safely on bathroom shelves and on the sides of the bath. Without the chance of tipping accidently and this does do the trick. The product is a creamy pink coloured liquid that shows through the bottle. On the front of the bottle is the name of the brand and the actual product too. The lid is a flip top lid which is really easy to flip up and use in a shower with one hand if needed. The liquid is quite thick as are most Original Source creamy shower gels. This is the consistency of single cream and is a lovely creamy shower gel. I love the fruity scent, it smells like fresh raspberries and cream to me. It is quite natural and not at all artificial smelling. I find it lathers well and gives off the fruity scent really well as I lather it up on my face cloth or bath lily thing. The scent is pleasant and sweetly fruity but although it is strong when using it in the shower or bath, the scent doesn't linger once I have dried myself. It does hang around in the bathroom though and I like the fact that it makes the bathroom smell nice too. Ingredients: Original Source state that they use natural ingredients and do not test on animals looking at the list on the bottle I can see some natural and some ingredients that sound less than natural. The smell of creamy raspberry is quite powerful as I luxuriate in my bath , I never have showers, but the smell does not linger on my skin. After I have bathed and dried myself I feel that my skin is well fed and moisturized. I have been using this on and off for a while now and have had no unpleasant reaction despite suffering from eczema and dry skin sometimes. I do still moisturize with a lotion but I don't have that tight dry feeling that you get after using soap sometimes. A niggly bit: Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is listed in the ingredients on this bottle and indeed you will find this in almost all products that produce foam. This is a controversial substance, which has been linked with carcinogens and is avoided by those who prefer natural products. This does not go with the natural claims of this product but I do know it is actually pretty difficult to find any bubble bath that doesn't contain it. However if you are one of those who really strongly believes in totally natural products then this may put you off. Summary: This is lovely creamy shower gel or as I use it as a liquid soap or bubble bath that sells at a reasonable price. I paid around £1 but if you don't like the smell of raspberries then I would avoid this as the smell is quite evident. It is a reasonably moisturizing bath/shower product that I really like but I do enjoy varying my bath smells so I alternate this with others in my collection depending on my mood. Thanks for reading. Loving my fruity scented items, it's no wonder I pick fruity body products. I get through a lot of shower gels, so normally I only purchase them on offer. Original Source - Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Gel: 'When we want to be, we can be a patient bunch here at Original Source. For this little treat we were really put to the test. We waited 82 British Sunrises for the raspberries to become lovely and ripe before squeezing them with Vanilla Milk for this beautifully moisturising shower cream' - www.originalsource.co.uk My Findings: After a horrid shift at work there is nothing better than a lovely shower to wash away that place! So I prefer rich fruity scented washes. This one isn't one of my favourites but certainly in my top 10 and will certainly re-purchase each time it is on offer. This is around my forth time I have purchased this one, with the Original Source range some I think are rather other powering but this one is relatively mild in comparison. However it still is noticeable and I like the fact it isn't overpowering. I know this is a shower gel but I also have used it as bubble bath and it works just fine, you get an ample amount of bubbles you just sink into a mass of sweet vanilla yummyiness. For me the scent I think it smells a little like raspberry ripple ice cream. You get a nice soft hint of sweet vanilla and a nice bust of raspberry but with a slight chalky hint lingering in the background. The shower cream is of medium consistency and a very pale pink all most white in colour. Like most body washes the scent doesn't last very long on your skin once washed and dried. Applying to my skin it is wonderfully soft, and soon as you rub over wet skin it lathers straight away. The bubbles are heavenly soft and smooth over my skin. It works really well cleansing, and the aroma is definitely a plus point in helping me to relax. I can get sensitive skin from time to time and this has never affected my skin, I always feel clean and fresh after use and I haven't had any drying out. I would love if they brought out the matching moisturiser too. This comes in a plastic tube which to a certain extent a rather basic outlay. Bold prints on the front, very straight to the point detail. Suitable for vegans which is always a plus and fully recyclable once empty. To get the product out you just lift the lid and squeeze, I haven't had any problems with the gel clogging or anything. Price and Availability: I purchased this on offer in Boots for only £1.00; normal price is around £2.40. This will last me around two weeks, so good value for money. Overall: This is a lovely shower gel that I find works as a bubble bath too, smells amazing like something you could eat. I wouldn't advise that though! My skin feels soft, clean and very refreshed after use which is something we all want after a shower. Four out of five stars from me. Thank you for reading. When it comes to my bathroom products I have to admit I am pretty funny about what I will and won't buy. I have a purple and pink colourscheme in my bathroom and I like my products to match so recently when I was running low on shower gel/cream and was in Boots and I spotted this for a pound a bottle I snapped it up. I had a quick sniff instore first and knew that I was getting a bargain so snapped it up! The Packaging: This comes in a frosted white bottle sort of triangular in shape and it has a black flip top lid to the bottom of it concealing a small hole and then on the front of the bottle we are clearly told that it is Original Source Vanilla Milk And Raspberry 'Packed with natural fragrance' Shower '82% British Sunrises Helped Make One Moisturising Bottle' and that it is suitable for Vegans and then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, ingredients are given, the size is stated (which in this case is 250ml), we are told that from opened to use it up within 12 months and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly listed. Using It: This shower cream is light pink in colour, quite runny with a really smooth consistency and to me it smells like I would expect a raspberry milkshake to with a hint of an vanilla undertone to it. Its a pleasant, rather feminine fragrance this one and I have to admit to really liking it. I pop a bit on a sponge/scrunchie and I apply it damp/wet skin and it lather up really well, releases its sweet, milkshaky fragrance and basically its a good cleaner this one and I can shave my bits and bobs with this too and it rinses off easily. The fragrance of this, once I am dressed or whatever lingers very gently on my skin for hours and leaves me feeling clean and my skin rather soft, though not overly so and certainly not in a greasy way. For a quid a bottle, like I paid I give it the thumbs up however I seen this out and about on my travels in supermarkets and chemists and seen it with a price tag of about £2.20 and I'm not entirely sure I would pay that though for a pound I rather like it! A little of it goes a long way though and I do likes its scent and it gives my sensitive skin no adverse effects at all! Readily available in all good supermarkets and chemists etc though do keep your eyes open for this on some kind of offer as I did which regularly it is!
I have used the Original Source Mint and Tea Tree shower gel previously and found that this was excellent quality and a very fresh scent. When I saw that Tesco had bottles of shower gel from the Original Source range on offer for £1 each, I decided to stock up on a few different scents. One of the scents I chose was this raspberry and vanilla fragrance. The bottle is a thick white plastic which is see through to the extent that you can see the creamy pink shower gel inside the bottle. It stands on its base which is black plastic with a flip lid so the shower gel can be squeezed out. The front of the bottle has the product labelling and the line that '82 British sunrises go into making one bottle' of the shower gel. Original source products are made from natural sources and this is made using essential oils. On flipping the lid open, you can immediately smell the shower gel which is a very sweet scent. It is neither too vanilla or too raspberry - it is a nice combination of the two. It does smell very, very sweet though so it is definitely one for people who like sickly sweet scents. I tend to prefer more fruity smells for my shower gel but I do find this really appealing. The shower gel itself is very creamy, smooth and quite thick in consistency. I use a small squirt on a shower scrunchie and find that this lathers up superbly. It washes well and is not too drying on my skin - it is not moisturising but that doesn't bother me as I usually apply a lotion or body butter to my skin after showering anyway. A 250ml bottle usually costs around £1.75. For £1, I think that I got a bargain - it smells like a more expensive product and it has lasted really well as it lathers so much. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again at full price. I probably prefer the freshness and zing of the mint and tea tree variety but this is a close second.
I love the smell of this shower gel. It feels lovely and creamy to use and fills the shower with a subtle aroma. Buying shower and bath products it s a bit of an obsession with me. I can spend a long time sniffing the perfume and weighing up the merits of each product. I have tried a few of the Original Source products and I have to say that I think this is my favourite. It has a sweet and fruity but not sickly fragrance and leaves a pleasant and not too obvious scent on the skin. I don't like fragrances that are overpowering, I prefer a subtle scent and this fits the bill. Whilst the packaging is functional, it looks modern and is easy and not fiddly to use. It allows you to dispense the right amount of cream and prevents wastage. I easily get bored with shower products and regularly switch brands, eager to try a new product but I think I will definitely be buying this product again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a sweet smelling and invigorating start to their day. If you have teenage daughters like I do, I would advise you to hide it as it will disappear rapidly otherwise!
I have bought Original Source bath products before and wasn't impressed, in fact I ended up giving away an almost full bottle of shower gel before so when I found myself buying one again I was quite surprised. The reason why I bought it was the smell, it was just unresistable! I absolutely love fruity smelling bath things and whilst in Tesco's recently I was sampling the different shower gels and although I normally steer clear of this brand I couldn't help but be really curious by this product, just what was raspberry and vanilla like? It was a lovely smell, so sweet and fresh a bit like a raspberry ripple icecream. I decided to buy it despite my reservations. This product comes in a tall, almost triangular shaped bottle which has a black lid and lot of black writing and is see-through. The contents inside is a lovely pale pink which is very pretty to look at. Now this shower gel was still disappointing for me in that it was the same kind of consistency as the other ones I've used which was one reason why i didn't like them. It is very thick and heavy so it's difficult to actually use it as it's hard to squeeze it out from the bottle and it's also really hard to actually massage into the skin. Trying to get a good lather is difficult but once you do manage to it's pretty nice. The smell whilst using it is stronger too which is lovely, it is such a mouth watering smell, it's divine! So although this is a very thick product which isn't the best I am still using it as the smell is lovely and I find that once I've managed to get it into a lather it does wash my skin well and doesn't leave it dry. It does also leave a slight fragrance behind too which is very nice.
I can spend an annoying long time in the shower gel section of the supermarket, going through each and every one, smelling them to find my favourite. I usually buy one, get bored and have to spend another 10-15 minutes trying to find another one that I like.. BUT, NOT ANYMORE. I have found the one. Original source vanilla and raspberry shower cream is the queen of all shower gels. The smell is just amazing, so fruity and fresh.. it smells so good that you may even want to eat it. Original Source state that raspberries are known for their detoxifying qualities and that's exactly why they picked this berry to use in their shower gel. They also states that they waited 82 British Sunrises for the raspberries to become lovely and ripe before they squeezed them in with the Vanilla Milk to create this beautifully moisturising shower cream. The product itself is a pale pinkish colour and comes out smoothly, is not very runny and it lathers average. I highly recommend it as it cleans effectively and it doesn't leave behind residue over skin and washes off quickly which is nice as many products I have used in the past have left my skin feeling slightly sticky. The shower cream is made with 100% natural fragrances and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and you will feel so refreshed and ready to start your day. I also have quite sensitive skin, and I have never had a reaction to the cream which is another plus for me! It comes in a clear container which makes it handy as you know when you are running low and you may need to go stock up again. The bottle is made out of recyclable plastic which is sturdy enough for travel. The cap is a square flip top cap which closes properly and the bottle is kept upside down which makes it easy to squeeze out every last drop. I shop at asda which sometime has deals where i can purchase this product for £1 but usually it is around £1.99 which is a bargain for 250ml.
The Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Cream comes in a clear bottle allowing you to see the pastel pink shower cream. This is really handy as it allows you to see how much is left. It has a black flip top lid and it is very easy to dispense just the amount you need. The Original Source packaging really stands out on the shelf and is easily identifiable. I love the little snippets of information they put on the bottle such as "82 British sunrises helped make one moisturising bottle of this". The shower cream itself is a lovely pale pink and is thicker than a shower gel. It has a beautiful smell of raspberries with a hint of vanilla. The vanilla smell is mild and the most noticeable scent is that of raspberries The scent lingers on your skin for several hours after use, and I tend to catch the scent as I move. The bottle confirms the scent is 100% natural. The shower cream lathers very well and you only need a small amount so a bottle lasts well. I find that this shower cream leaves my skin beautiful soft and clean. I love this shower cream it has a beautiful smell which lingers on the skin. Highly recommend. It can be brought from most chemists and supermarkets for around £2 for a 250ml bottle. This review also appears on CIAO under the same username.
This smells delicious!! A creamy texture and creamy smell. The smell lasts all day and makes your skin feel so soft. It goes on a very translucent pink and then gently washes into your skin. It does not lather much at all so for people liking a really soapy body wash this isn't for you. For people who like a nice gentle smelling soothing product then this will be right up your street. It's 100 percent natural for fragrances. The packaging is pretty cute though it could do with a little hook to hook onto the shower. It really does smell delicious and very much edible! Warning it does make me hungry. I would say it is more for the evening as it isn't invigorating and it is more relax g especially with the scent, gentle hues of raspberry and vanilla milk. It is very calming so will help you wind down before bed.
I am not brand loyal and tend to buy whichever shower gels are on offer when I shop. Recently it was original source that was being offered at half the usual selling price in Tesco. I love anything that is vanilla scented so it was an easy choice for me to pick a bottle of vanilla milk and raspberry. I have tried several of the original source shower gels in the past and really liked them; with the exception of the overpowering mint and tea tree, so was expecting to like this one too. The shower cream (it's not really a gel) comes in a sturdy clear plastic bottle with black flip top lid. I would have liked it to have had a pull out handle that allows you to hang the shower gel up in the shower, but this is only a minor negative point. The pale pink colour of the shower cream can be seen through the bottle and looks very pretty. The information on the front on the bottle is cleverly done and implies that this is a natural product. It claims in bold black print that* 82 British sunrises* have helped to produce the raspberries that go into this product. It also claims that it is made using 100% natural fragrances from pure essential oils. However although the fragrances may be natural, the list of ingredients on the back list several chemicals that are included in the cream. My opinion. *********** The first thing to say is that I absolutely love the gentle scent of this shower cream. It is not in any way overpowering as with the mint variant I mentioned. I can detect both the vanilla and raspberry scent and it reminds me of raspberry milkshake. The cream is quite thick and is easy to squeeze from the bottle. It lathers well and feels very luxurious on my damp skin. My skin is prone to dryness and this product leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. The addition of raspberries is to take advantage of their detoxifying properties whilst vanilla milk is moisturising. On the negative side (apart from the inclusion of chemicals) is that the gorgeous scent doesn't last. In fact by the time I get dressed it has all but vanished. It doses linger in my bathroom for a while through making it pleasant for the next person to shower! I paid £1.10 for my 250 ml tube from Tesco. It is usually sold for twice this price so now is a good time to buy. I would buy this agin but would not pay the full asking price.
