Advantages: good for dry skin
Disadvantages: none really
As somebody who suffers from dry and itchy skin in winter months, I like to ensure that I am buying the best possible shower gel for my skin type. I have a bathroom full of shower gels, some of which I love and some of which I have tried and not dipped into again.
The Palmolive Bath and Creme is one I do rate. Palmolive is a name synonymous with soaps and shower products, so you can trust them. I first discovered this at my mum's, there was a mammoth sized bottle plonked next to the bath. When I first used it, I was staggered at how creamy it felt in the hand and also how wonderful it felt when it was massaged into the skin. The pinky cream coloured liquid has a great viscosity and lathers up a treat, so you only need a pinch.
I could spend ages just smoothing this into the skin, each stroke you really feel it sinking into the skin and being absorbed like a sponge soaking up moisture. The smell is delicate and refined, with a milky almond aroma just lingering in the backround. It smells light enough not to upset any delicate nostrils which is great.
It rinses off a treat and most importantly, the after effects are good. My skin felt a lot calmer after just one use and my dry patches actually felt less itchy and soothed for the first time in a while. I really rate this product and as a bottle seems to last up to two months, the longevity is superb too. Prices vary as they are often in a two for one offer, but I believe a standard sized bottle retails for about two pounds. Ideal for sensitive skin and for those who need something for dryer skin conditions.
Summary: very good
