“ Brand: Palmolive / Foam / Type: Bath Melt/Foam / Subcategory: Foam / What it does: destresses „
I love to take a bath, especially after a long day with stress. There is nothing nicer to unwind in a hot bath with a book or just some music on. I always have to be careful that I don't fall asleep. I love the Palmolive products and have been using them forever. The Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relaxation is just one of them
According to the manufacturer the Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relaxation treats your skin with its ultra-soft and natural oils of ylang ylang and Lis extract. It helps your skin to invigorate and soothe. According to the manufacturer the fragrance of this product helps you to calm and forget the stress and hustle of the busy day.
The Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relaxation comes in a clear transparent plastic bottle and has a purple cap. The bottle is easy to open and properly dosed. On the bottle is a predominantly purple plastic label where you can find brand and product name. Also found on the front is the image of a drop of oil. On the back you'll find product information and ingredients. The bottle has a capacity of 500 ml.
The color of this shower gel is just like the bottle purple and the bottle when you open it you will meet a lovely little oriental fragrance. It is not a dominant scent and a great scent to be used by both sexes. It has no specific feminine floral fragrance.
I thought it was a good and gentle foaming gel and it actually gives quite a lot of bubbles which lasted during my bath. Also my skin felt nice and soft after use and I did not need much for a bath. I found the smell delicious, not too sharp but very relaxing. After using it you can still notice the smell but not for long. The smell is actually quite neutral and it's something that the whole family can use.
The bottle contains 500 ml, so not really bad for the price of around one pound.
For Christmas I requested my sisters buy me toiletries as I felt that it was something practical that would get used up. One of my sisters bought me a bottle of Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relax bubble bath. I must admit, that the reason I didn't use this sooner, is that I obviously hadn't bothered to read the label, and assumed from the purple colour that this was lavender, a scent I'm not overly keen on. In fact, when I actually dug it out and took a proper look at it, the product contains ylang ylang and iris extract, which to me is a much preferable combination to lavender.
The bath foam comes in a clear bottle through which you can see the rich, dark purple liquid. I really like the shape of the bottle - it curves in at the base and the top is rounded, which I think makes it look quite attractive. The lid is a flip top cap and I find it easy to open and close.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you how to use a bubble bath, but just to quell any doubt, it should be poured under running water. I find that the product starts to create bubbles pretty quickly and not much is needed per use.
The main positive for me with this product is the scent. It has a very sweet floral scent to it, which smells light and luxurious. It reminds me of summer as it's quite a fresh smell, and I do think it is geared more towards women than men.
I find that I get a lot of bubbles from this - enough to cover the top of the majority of the water - which is something I like. When I get into the bath I don't notice any particular change to the feel of the water, as often happens with more expensive products, but then if I'm honest I wouldn't really expect that from a brand like Palmolive.
The bubbles tend to last the duration of my bath, which is great for me as I'm a fan of long soaks! The scent also lingers - again great as I do love to be surrounded by a nice scent, and I find this scent particularly relaxing.
When I have gotten out of the bath I don't particularly notice any difference to the way my skin feels. I don't notice the scent lingering on my skin either, but then again I tend to use perfumed body washes which would probably mask the scent that any bubble bath had created.
As this was a gift I had to look the price up and the only place I could find selling this was Poundland where obviously it costs £1. It is worth noting however, I found on the Boots website that they also make a matching shower gel.
Overall, I think this is a lovely product and a total bargain if you can get it for just £1, considering the bottle holds 500ml. It smells lovely, the bubbles last a long time and it's very relaxing to use, so I would fully recommend it.
