Advantages: Smells gorgeous, helps you relax, attractive bottle, great value
Disadvantages: None I can think of!
Like a lot of people, I use the shower for getting clean, and have a long, hot soak in the bath if I want to relax and unwind at the end of the day. So when I saw this 'Anti-Stress' bath foam on special offer, I bought it, thinking it would fit my bathing agenda very well! I paid just £1 for it, although usually it's priced at a little over £2. Still, for 500ml, it's really not going to break the bank.
The bottle is an attractice oval shape, with a flip-up section in the middle of the lid, covering a hole through which you can squeeze out the thick, purple gel inside. This small opening works much better than most other bubble baths, because the contents don't come gushing out if you get the angle wrong; it's easy to control how much you're squeezing out. The see-through bottle has a leafy pattern stuck to it's back, so that it looks pretty in your bathroom. It's a nice touch, which makes the bottle much more interesting to look at, even when it's half-empty.
Because of the large size and low price of the bottle, I don't feel I have to scrimp when using it, but can squeeze liberal amounts in under the hot tap, resulting in an abundance of bubbles. They don't disappear too quickly either- there's usually still a small covering by the end of my bath.
This bottle proudly calls itself 'Aromatherapy Bath Foam', and states that it contains 'Pure Essential Oils of Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli' which will 'envelop you with an aura of tranquility and peace'. Sounds good, if a little waffley, but would it live up to its claims? Well, the smell of this bath foam is absolutely gorgeous- lightly floral, but with a musky, mysterious hint that stops it from becoming sweet or sickly. The scent is pretty strong too, so when you're lying back in the water, it certainly does 'envelop' you. And it makes for a very relaxing bath- and gorgeously scented skin afterwards! Plus, my skin felt soft and hydrated, which is always a good thing.
Using this generously several times a week, I'm getting through it quite quickly, but I'll definitely be replacing it when it runs out. It's a great, staple bath product that really does add to the relaxation element of having a bath, and, for the price, you don't have to worry about using too much. Recommended for anyone who loves their long, relaxing soaks like I do!
Summary: The perfect way to unwind at the end of the day.
