Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid Shower Milk

I have to admit that I am not brand loyal, I like to shop around, and for me the most important things about shower gels are the smell, how clean they get me, and if they react badly with my sensitive skin...

Well with this particular product I have to say it feels lovely when used to cleanse me, it lathers well, either by itself or on a shower pouffe. I doesn't dry my skin too much (unless my skin is already 'flaring' up in which case I would usually use aqueous cream to wash with), and the smell is divine... Never having smelt a black orchid I cannot say how true the scent is, but it is wonderful stuff. Kind of floral with a hint of something spicy thrown in... It really is a nice smell, and it lingers quite well on my skin - but not so much that it interferes with perfumes.

The bottle is rather basic, with a small flip top section on the curved top, it opens easily, but because of the curve cannot be stood on the lid. This can make it difficult to get out of the bottle, especially with wet hands. The shower milk itself is a lovely opaque purple colour, that has a nice consistency. The product does contain Aloe Vera, and is made with '100% natural origin of orchid' well the orchid may be natural but there are all sorts of chemicals in the list of ingredients...

I picked up this product when it was on special offer a Wilkinson's, for 50p - although it is currently priced at £1 - £3 on-line... I would purchase this product again, and do recommend but do feel they've played a little fast and loose with the meaning of 'natural' and as such they loose one star....
