Back in Egypt:
Cleopatra bathed in milk way back in Egypt's ancient days. Was she off her rocker? No, because she realised that milk has cleansing and conditioning properties for smooth skin. Jump forward to the twenty first century and milk is now used by the masses. It can be given to us through a regular pint of milk or by Palmolive Naturals range. Only thing is that this is just one serving of milk essence (not sure what that really means) in a small bottle of 250ml (about fifty washes), 500ml (equates to about one hundred uses), or the larger 750ml.
Palmolive say they use one hundred percent natural ingredients. Their products are dermatologically tested. Each product, in this particular range, contains pure milk plus one other main ingredient. They are all PH balanced, with hydrating properties and are kind to skin. Now you can feel like a queen. There is not even a trace of soap in this product range. The choices available, that I know of, and have tried are:
Milk and Honey (probably a favourite for scent, texture and sexy name)
Milk and Olive
Olive and Aloe Vera Milk
Cherry Blossom with Milk
Shea Butter with Milk
Milk Black Orchid (My least favourite scent)
I think they are all similar. The whole range gives me smooth skin but the Milk and Honey is my preferred scent. I am always trying new products but do like to return to this one. This one, you'll find, by the picture of honeycomb and milk. They also come as bath and hand washes.
All the packaging range is designed with colours and pictures to reinforce the naturalness of the product. The bottles have a flip-top lid, and turned upside down for use. Some come with a pump. The one error in design is that it can't be stood on the top, which is not flat, and there is nothing supplied that enables me to hang the bottle from a hook.
I find them all to be quite flora in scent, though this one has the distinct sweetness of honey. I can't really claim to smell the milk which I can only think of as a positive thing! They are powerful enough to last most of the day without being over-intoxicating. I find them to be of a feminine perfume which fills the house for a little while after use. There it has a double function as a house odouriser and shower wash!
Well, it doesn't upset my sensitive skin. After lathering up, needs quite a bit to do so, it leaves me with smooth and softly moisturised skin. My skin is never dried out by this product. I have tried every option in the range and they all produce good results. The moisturisers which are included within the product give me lasting softness and I certainly feel refreshed and clean by this.
The ultimate accolade for this product is when someone said to me, about three hours after my shower, 'Hmm, you smell good!'
The downsides are the; lack of flat top on the bottle, and also it is a little watery when it comes out, and needs a bit more than some other products before it truly turns into a lather. However, when I use a sponge or loather it lathers up much better than with my hands. The price for a family size is around £3.60. In the middle the 500mls costs less than two pounds. At the other end of the scale is the cheap, probably the best price around, one pound for a 250ml bottle. I even paid about 97p on special offer deals.
I am very satisfied that no harmful chemicals have been used in the making of this product range. I will use this range again and I can recommend. So pop off to your local chemist, Poundland, or supermarket, and give Palmolive Naturals a chance. Don't you want to feel like a Queen for commoner prices?
Palmolive shower milk
As I had previously used Palmolive honey pump soap when I came across a shower milk version I thought I had to give it a go, it is now a firm favourite of mine. It is funny as I can't stand the taste, smell or consistency of honey yet I like this product by Palmolive. My sister also hates honey and says she can't stand this either but I don't get the likeness!
Palmolive shower milks come in a range of different scents this particular one is honey and claims to be enriched with moisturising milk and extracts of 100% natural origin of honey and aloe vera. The words Palmolive use are a 'rich velvety formula'.
The packaging is simple with a classy looking picture attached to a plain white bottle. The bottle is quite tall and slim making it easy to put in a wash bag if going away. The picture shows a rich, smooth looking product maybe with a slight honey look to it. The bottle has an easy to use pop top with a smallish hole to squeeze the product out of. Once used the bottle seals well when shut and on the odd occasion I have taken it away with me it hasn't leaked. On opening the bottle and giving it a little squeeze you get a natural rich smell and even though I hate honey I love this. The back of the packaging has all the relevant details of the contents of the product and says it has been dermatologically tested.
The consistency of the shower milk is quite thick and feels a smooth liquid to touch. The liquid is creamy coloured and rubs into your skin well leaving your skin feeling smooth and well looked after. I am not one for lots of body products I like to use simple things that leave my skin feeling fresh and not like it has been piled with numerous products. I hate a sticky feeling to my skin and this certainly doesn't leave your skin feeling like that.
A small amount of the shower milk amounts to a good enough lather so you won't find yourself working through a bottle of it too quickly. Once I have used this my skin is left with a gentle scent, one which isn't too over powering and too perfumed very much the same as the liquid when in the bottle.
I have seen Palmolive shower milk available in two sizes the normal 250ml which I use and the family sized bottle which is 750ml. The 250ml retails at £1.99 and the 750ml at £3.49 but this size does come with a pump rather than a pop top. The 250ml bottle is often found on offer in supermarkets for a £1 or quite often in pound stores for a £1 too so I have never had to buy it full price.
I have found this product perfect for my skin and would highly recommend as a nice simple product, no frills. If you're not a fan of honey I would still say give it a go you may just like it, like me.
I was on Holiday and needed a product for washing myself when in the shower. I normally used Sanex; how-ever I find this bottle can be a little too big and chunky so I opted for a different brand of product which came in a smaller bottle. The product I chose was part of the Palmolive Naturals range and stated on the front of the bottle that it was Nourishing Delight, this sounded great as I often suffer from dry skin and as the product contained honey and moisturising milk I didn't think this would dry my skin out like some other products do. The product states to gently cleanse your skin and protect it from dryness, leaving your skin smooth and soft. The product also claims to leave a lovely scent of honey and milk on your skin.
Please note that the following prices have been taken from www.boots.com
250ml bottle of shower cream - £1.59

You can also purchase these items from other places such as Superdrug, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and other local supermarkets/shops. Please note that prices may vary during different times of the year.
~ PACKAGING ~
The shower milk comes in a long but rounded style bottle which is white in colour with a golden yellow coloured lid. On the front of the bottle it states that the product is part of the Palmolive Naturals range with honey and moisturising milk. On the back of the bottle is gives you a list of ingredients and contact numbers should you wish to contact them with any problems or complaints. The information on the back of the bottle is printed in 4 different languages including English. The packaging is very simple, how-ever due to the large print on the front of the packaging it's very clear that this product is made by Palmolive. All the different types of shower creams in the Palmolive range come in the same shaped bottle but with different coloured lids, depending on what ingredients the product contains.
~ USING THE PRODUCT ~
I flipped the lid open and squeezed a small amount of the shower milk onto a body puff. The shower milk was quite runny and was a very pale yellow colour. I smelt the product before using it and it smelt very pleasant and had a lovely sweet smell to it. I rubbed the body puff against my wet skin and this helped to create a little lather. I continued to rub the puff over my body creating more lather as the shower cream rubbed against my wet skin. The lather felt really soft against my skin and it wasn't long before the bathroom was filled with a lovely sweet smell of the product. As the shower milk lathered up it felt as though it was really cleansing my skin and giving it a good clean. The lather and small bubbles were really soft and felt moisturising against my skin. After having a good wash I stood back under the shower to rinse off. The bubbles rinsed off very easily, leaving my skin feeling really clean. After showing I patted my skin dry and then felt it to see how much of a difference the shower milk had made. My skin felt really soft and smooth and it felt nourished. I could still smell the product on my skin slightly which smelt really nice and made me feel clean and fresh. I suffer from dry skin a lot and this was kind even to my skin and especially on the shoulders where I always seem to get dry patches. I can't comment on how long the smell of the product stays on your skin as I always apply a body butter or moisturiser twice a day to keep my skin hydrated and from going dry.
~ OVERALL OPINION ~
In terms of value for money, I think this is good value and is fantastic when it's on offer. I find that you only need to use a little of the product in order to get a nice lather in which you can spread over your body to wash with. The smell of the product is lovely and although it smells sweet it doesn't smell sickly and left me feeling fresh and clean. The shower milk lives up to its claims of nourishing skin and helping to keep it moisturised. After using the product I have decided that I would definitely purchase it again as the smell of the product is gorgeous and it didn't dry out my skin or leave it feeling irritated. As this product was so good and lived up to its claims it would also tempt me to try other products in this range. I give this product 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to others to use.

Today I'm going to be reviewing Palmolive Naturals Honey and Milk shower milk. My mum used to buy the hand soap of this when I was younger and I loved it, but she stopped buying it for some reason. So when I spotted the shower gel version in Tesco tonight with my Dad, I picked it up immediately and chucked it into the trolley. I couldn't wait to take it home!
This bottle has 250 ml of the shower milk. It is a kind of oval, egg-shapped bottle. Sort of hard to describe, but it looks just like the middle bottle in the Dooyoo picture. The main part of the bottle is white, with the lid beeing deep golden yellow, so this is kind of tying in with the honey and milk scent. It cost around 75p in tesco when I bought it, but I think there was a special offer on the Pamolive range, though, and I'm unsure of the regular price.
The label on the front of the bottle has the classic green and white Palmolive Naturals logo and it reads 'Nourishing delight' in the english language, and some words in another language. It tells you that it has 100% natural origin extracts inside and that the scent is indeed Honey and Milk. Flicking open the top of the plastic cap, I take a whiff and I can smell the Honey and Milk scent straightaway. It's absolutely divine. I've never found a soap/shower milk with a nicer scent. It's so hard to describe! Kind of honey-custard like. Lovely!
I use this in the bath and the shower. The consistency isn't the thickest in the world, but it's lovely and silky and produces a good lather. After you've rinsed it off, you can still faintly smell it on your skin.
I checked on the back of the bottle and it says if you aren't satisfied or you have any questions you can call the customer careline or visit the website.
Overall this shower milk was lovely and I'd certainly buy it again! Recommended!
This is a review of the Palmolive liquid hand soap which is in Palmolive Naturals Milk and Honey line of products.
I usually buy liquid soaps because I personally think they are more hygienic than traditional bar soaps. I also liked to decant the liquid into my own soap dispenser therefore the packaging is of little interest to me.
Palmolive Milk & Honey scented soap comes in a transparent bottle which makes it possible to see the yellowy-magnolia colouring of the product which is in keeping with the picture of a honey-like substance on the front of the bottle. The packaging does not particularly stand out but it isn't exactly dull either, it's fairly average.
The scent itself definitely does have heavy tones of a sweet honey-like scent although I couldn't detect any notes of milk. I was happy about this as I'm not sure I would actually like to walk around smelling of milk! Instead it evokes to me a similar smell to butterscotch - quite rich and creamy.
I find that it is gentle on the skin. I am very prone to chapped hands therefore I always try to buy soaps which moisturise the skin. I find that this product does not leave my skin feeling dry therefore I know I can trust it.
I picked up the bottle for £1 which is pretty much the standard price you would expect to pay for a branded liquid soap. It is a reliable product which I have bought many times in the past and wouldn't hesitate to buy again in the future. It smells pleasant, does the job and doesn't break the bank.

I love Palmolive shower gels, particularly this flavour. Here is my review for Palmolive Naturals Nourishing Shower Milk:
1. The Smell:
This, for me, is the most important factor when choosing body washes. This smells almost of vanilla and the colour is literally yellow! It's like custard in my opinion! It's a gorgeous smell that puts a big smile on my face everytime I use it. Smell gets 5 stars from me! In fact I'd give it 7 if it would let me, it's too perfect for even 6!
2. The Lather:
This is another really important thing for me. This is one the best lathers I've ever experienced. It is so so creamy, so so thick, and so so scrummy in smell, it really will put a big grin on your face! This truly does produce an outstanding lather, so gets 5 stars from me, 6 if I was allowed!
3. The Result:
This is of course important. This leaves my skin super super soft with the scrummy smell staying on my skin for a good few hours, which is fab in my opinion! One of the best body washes on the market in my opinion! Result gets 5 stars from me, 6 if I could!
Price wise this can be found from around the £1.50 - £1.80 mark, nothing for what you get from it!
I normally use Soap & Glory shower gel but as someone who swims five nights a week I was finding it costly to use in the shower at the pool night after night. I picked this up in Asda as it was on a 4 for £3 offer. After smelling all of the Palmolive shower gels I decided this was my favourite. The shower gel comes in two sizes I had the smaller of the two which contained 300ml, you can also buy a 500ml for £2 in store.
The packaging is nothing special the container is white in colour with the green Palmolive logo and a picture of some honeycomb and milk in the middle. The container is a good shape for use in the shower as it fits nicely in your hand. It has a flip cap on the top for ease of dispense. The product claims it has a velvety formula which will moisturise your skin and leave it soft and smooth. The product goes a long way you only need a small amount to get a good lather. I take a shower puff to the gym/pool with me as I find it means you use less product and it lasts a lot longer. The product has a pale yellowy colour and as soon as you dispense it you can smell the honey. It is a very sweet smell and it reminds me of horlicks with honey mixed in.
As someone who goes swimming regularly I suffer from dry skin, after leaving the pool my skin often feels tight from the chlorine. I noticed that this product moisturised my skin very well. I was very impressed with it and would give it 5 stars out of 5.
I would recommend this to someone who wants a cheap shower gel that smells nice and moisturises. For the price you pay you really can't go wrong.
I have tried pretty much all the Palmolive fragrances and I always go back to the Honey & Moistirising Milk fragrance. It is a soothing nourishing smell which reminds me of being on holiday.
The shower cream is dermatologically tested and you can feel the softness and moisturising effect it has on your skin straight after. It comes in a plastic bottle with a lid that you flip up, I have took it abroad with me plenty of times and it has never leaked while in my case. You only need a small almond size amount of shower gel as it foams up really well, I have also often used it in my bath and it creates bubbles like a normal bubble bath would and it releases a lovely aroma!
Some supermarkets try and charge a high price for this brand about £2-3 a bottle! but if you go to Asda they normally have it on offer for 4 for £3 si it's well worth stocking up.
I have recently purchased this item on my weekly supermarket shop at Morrisons and I have to say I have been surprised by the high quality of this product. This product comes in white coloured packaging with a orange coloured lid. The orange coloured lid is to tie in with the honey ingredient that is used in this product.
This product is available in different sizes 250ml and a larger size of 500ml. Prices vary between £1.00 and £1.99. This product I have recently found out can be picked up anywhere from £1 shops and other beauty outlets at a very cheap price.
I used this product and it smelt gorgeous, I just wanted to use it over and over again. You can really smell the honey in this product. It left my skin feeling very silky and smooth and it gave me a great mood boost when I used in the shower before I went to work in the morning. my skin felt nourished and moisturised after I used this cream. The only criticism I can say about this product that if too much is used, it can leave a sticky residue on the skin and therefore must be rinsed thoroughly off the skin.
I was in a hurry in my local supermarket so I decided to pick up this palmolive stuff as It was the first shampoo I saw. It was very cheap at only £1. Bargain!
It is pretty bland and nothing screams "expensive" or "stylish" to me. It is just a baisic shampoo. You can tell it is a natural shampoo by the colours they are using white, orange and green. These match milk and honey colours. The bottles are a good size and last about a month.
**Washing My Hair**
The shampoo lathered up really well however it was a little too runny in my opinion. It smelt pretty good too and the honey really stood out for me. It wasn't my favourite smell off all time but none the less it was still nice.
It made my hair a bit shiny but not alot however my hair felt really clean. My hair isn't really dry so I can't say anything about that aspect.
An okay shampoo If you are on a budget and want something natural and you like honey
I liked the look of this shower milk when I saw it in Boots. Small and oval shaped, there was definitely something aesthetically pleasing about it, and the fact it was only £1.50 for 250ml (though I now see it's even cheaper- just £1!) made it irresistable. Plus I love sweet and creamy shower gels, so milk and honey sounded like a great combo.
This is part of the Palmolive 'Naturals' range, although to be honest, I'm not sure how natural it is. Most of the ingredients on the back sound very chemically to me, just like any other cheapish shower gel. Parfum is high on the list, whereas the milk and honey are way down the bottom, just for good measure I'm guessing.
Anyway, despite the shortage of actual honey, the stuff inside smells great. As sweet as you'd expect, it's not overpowering, but just strong enough to linger on your skin and give you the occasional waft of honey throughout the day. It's a bit of a strange colour- quite lemony yellow, but I can overlook that because it smells so good! Its consistency is very thick, and it's silky smooth on your skin, moisturising it and leaving it really soft. I also found it worked really well as a shaving gel, thanks to its creaminess.
The only problem I found with this was that it's a bit hard to get into. The rounded lid has just a small central rectangle that flips up, and it feels really flimsy, like it could easily snap off in my hand. Apart from that, I really like this shower milk and will definitely be buying it again.
I have an admission of guilt I probably shouldn't share. I'm a bit of a fiend when it comes to shower gels and I just can't help myself try new products. If I happen to take a shower at a friends house or a family members house and I see a shower gel on display I can guarantee I will try their particular shower gel rather than use my own that I have brought with me. That's how I came to find out about Palmolive Naturals Milk and Honey.
The shower gel comes in a 250ml white plastic oval shaped bottle with a peachy coloured lid with a flip cap. A downside to the packaging is that you can't see how much shower gel you have left so need to do the weight test and judge for yourself. The front of the packaging has the Palmolive brand and also a picture of dripping honey.
The design of the shower gel bottle is slightly flawed. The flip top lid of the shower gel is quite stiff to open initially however after a weeks worth of use my lid broke off completely. The bottle is also made from quite thick plastic which makes it difficult to squeeze with wet hands. In particular when the bottle is becoming empty.
Asda sell Palmolive Naturals Milk and Honey for 99p for a 250ml bottle. (I discovered last week that Wilko's sell this for 79p a bottle) This is extremely good value in my opinion in comparison to other brands of shower gel. The Palmolive shower gel is also quite thick in its consistency which means that you only have to use a very small amount so a bottle lasts me around 1 month when used daily.
***Palmolive Naturals Milk & Honey***
The shower gel has a lovely soft sweet smell and you notice this smell as soon as you open the bottle lid. When you pour the shower gel into your hand you can immediately notice it is a milky colour with a pearlescent look to it. The consistency of the shower gel is reasonable thick which I like as a little bit of the product goes a long way. It also means that because it is not a very runny shower gel wastage is minimised.
When applied to the skin the shower gel has a silky feel to it and spread over the skin well. Even a small amount of product creates a lot of lather meaning skin feel very clean. The shower gel has a lovely sweet creamy scent which is strong but not overpowering. The honey gives a sweet scent where the milky has a creamy rich scent to it.
The shower gel rinses off skin very well and after drying off with a towel my skin had a very smooth silky touch, even patches where I previously had dry skin. The soft sweet smell of the shower gel was still quite strong on my skin which gave a lovely soft clean scent for a couple of hours.
The only downside to the product is the scent. I love the scent however because it is so sweet and soft it is definitely a more feminine scent. Mr Lool's refuses to use this shower gel as he thinks he "will smell like a girl!".
I liked this shower gel that much after trying it at my inlaws house that I actually bought myself my own bottle.
The shower gel has a fantastic soft clean scent to it which is creamy and strong without being overpowering. My skin was also left in great condition and has a smooth silky touch to it after the first few uses. For 99p for a 250ml bottle was my biggest surprise this is a great value shower gel from Palmolive.
A great shower gel that leaves skin soft silky and smelling fresh and gorgeous, albeit a very feminine scent.
I like Palmolive shower milks actually I think I have tried all of them. My favourite one is the almond fragrance shower milk but the second is the Palmolive Naturals Milk & Honey.
Price and package
Palmolive Naturals Milk & Honey shower milk comes in a white oval plastic bottle which contains 250 ml shower milk. The lid is pale orange coloured and can be opened and resealed easily. There is a big Palmolive Naturals logo on the top of the label. Below the logo you can see pouring honey. I bought it from Sainsbury's for 1.59 pounds. Occasionally it is available for 1 pound only. It is available in most of the supermarkets.
The shower milk
I'm always in trouble when I have to describe a fragrance which is very pleasant but I can't compare it to anything well known scent. It has sweet fragrance which is nor floral nor fruity but somewhere close to these. The shower milk is thick but can be poured out of the bottle. It has creamy colour and foams very well. A little is enough of it so the bottle will last very long. It contains milk and honey extracts so it is really good for my skin.
Aqua, Sodium C12-13 Pareth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucoside, Parfum, Sodium Chloride, Styrene / Acrylates Copolymer, DMDM Hydantoin, Polyquaternium-7, Glycol Distearate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Laureth-4, Lactose, Mel, Lactis Proteinum, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, CI 16255, CI 19140.
Palmolive shower milks are always of premium quality and this particular product is one of their best shower milks. It has gorgeous fragrance and cleans your skin very well. After I used this shower milk I felt myself clean and relaxed. For some reason the fragrance of this shower milk made me calm. My skin was soft and scented very nicely. I like the idea of natural extract in shower products and although a lot of companies use them I prefer Palmolive Naturals products.
I think this shower milk has a fair price. You can smell its fragrance in the shop if you have doubts how it feels. It will last long as only a teaspoon quantity is needed for a shower. My skin is not so sensitive so I can't tell you how it performs on sensitive skin but probably it is worth checking the ingredients list.
I brought the palmolive naturals milk and honey shampoo aswell as the seperate conditioner a few weeks ago, i usually use alberto balsam and stick to that brand but this was on special offer at morisons for £1 a bottle so i thought i would give it a try.
The shampoo is designed for dry hair which mine definately is with all the dying and perming it has with stood over the years, it claims to smooth the surface of the hair reducing split ends and giving you smooth , soft and shiny hair.
It is a nice thick concistency and has a nice smell to it but that is as far as the plus points go for me im afraid, it didnt lather up very easily on my hair, took ages to rinse it out properly due to it being so thick and gloopy, it left my hair feeling very dry and very brittle and in definate need of a good condition.
On to the conditioner, this is also designed for dry or damaged hair and if mine wasnt bad enough before it definately is now after using the shampoo, It claims to give 6 times smoother hair if used with the shampoo.
It is a nice thick consistency that went onto my hair and coated it all very well, once again it was difficult to wash off my hair but did leave my hair feeling very smooth so had done what it was supposed to so i suppose as a combination with the shampoo it worked quite well.
After allowing my hair to dry it didnt look or feel as nice as with the alberto balsam i usually use and after two washes with this shampoo my scalp developed an irritation to it and i couldnt stop itching which wasnt good so i havent used this since.
I certainly wouldnt buy this again but it might suit other people better than it did me.
I always have a shower every morning, it helps me feel fresh and alert for my day ahead...
In Superdrug recently I saw a 'Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk' on offer for a pound so though I'd give it a go.
There was a sticker on the oval shaped bottle saying 'with moisturising milk' and that it's with honey as well which makes it nourishing.
The bottle is plastic and contains 300ml of liquid which is like an amber yellow in colour and smells gorgeous! The stuff is quite thick as well so is easy to lather up into a good foam on a scrunchie if you like washing with one...
Described as: 'Discover an indulging shower experience. Palmolive Nourishing Shower Milk is enriched with moisturising milk and honey extract. Its velvety formula helps nourish your skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth', which it does as well as really clean.
When I've used this Palmolive my skin smells lovely for the rest of the day and hydrated too, I feel really nicely washed and better for the day ahead.
It is really refreshing and such a natural fragrance as well.
I really like it and think it works really well and is good value for money plus lasts ages, lol! You only need to use about a 10p piece worth for a really good lather too.
My skin feels really soft and clean and I think it's great stuff!
Five stars from me for a flip top product that does the job fab! :)
