      Disadvantages

      A gentle, cleansing body wash

I'm a big fan of the Palmolive Naturals range and have recently been using this Calming Shower Milk with Cherry Blossom and Moisturising Milk. I came across this in poundland, where I purchased a 250ml bottle for £1, and also a matching bubble bath which appears to have been discontinued now.

Product description: "Palmolive Shower Milk Calming is enriched with moisturising milk and extract of cherry blossom. Its rich, velvety formula gives your skin a calming sensation and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. Dermatologically tested."

The shower milk comes in a white coloured plastic bottle which is a bit annoying as I prefer clear packaging so I can get an immediate idea of how much product is left ninside the bottle. It has a large flip-top lid which is easy to use even with wet hands. I had to balance the bottle upside down on my bathroom shelf to get the last few remaining bits out when I was running close to the end which was a bit tricky.

The shower milk itself is quite milky, it has a plain white colour to it and is quite runny so flows easily from the bottle. It has a creamy consistency that is foams up nicely and spreads gently across the skin. It is very soft and soothing, and after using this my skin definitely feels more moisturised. I found that the effect increased when I used both the bath and the shower products together. The cherry blossom fragrance is quite strong and gives off a powdery floral scent. It is quite nice but I find that after washing with it it can come across as being a bit sickly and overwhelming, especially as the scent of the shower gel stays on my skin for a while after washing with it.

This is a good shower product that helps to make my skin softer and more moisturised. The Palmolive Naturals range is good value for money and I would recommend this Calming Shower Milk if you're a fan of floral scents.

      My favourite shower gel

As a huge fan of the almond and honey versions of the Palmolive Naturals shower milks, I thought I'd take advantage of a buy one get one free offer on the range in Boots and try the cherry blossom version.

Like the other products in the range, this is a fantastically moisturising shower milk. I wouldn't say that I have particularly dry skin but I always notice a difference in how soft my skin feels after using it. I often use it as an alternative to shaving gel when shaving my legs, which always feel soft, smooth and fuzz-free after doing so.

The cherry blossom scent is beautiful: a lovely soft floral fragrance which lingers slightly on your skin after showering without being too overpowering. The scent is what makes the cherry blossom version of this product my favourite in the range and I really find it relaxes me if I use it in the evening.

At the moment this shower gel retails for £1.65 in Boots, which I think is an absolute bargain. As I already mentioned, I bought this on offer but I'd happily pay full price - or more - for it.

      6 Stars!

My friend bought me this for my 18th in september and I loved it so much, I've gone and bought it twice since! Here is my review for Palmolive Naturals Calming Shower Cream:

      1. The Smell:

For me, the most important thing when choosing a shower cream. This smells heavenly, cherry blossom yet very floral. It almost smells like it may have a bit of jasmine or cotton milk in there too, it simply is divine. Smell gets 5 stars from me, 6 if it would let me!

      2. The Lather:

This is another really important factor when choosing shower creams. The lather this produces is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I've always loved Palmolive Naturals shower creams' lathers, they just form such a creamy, thick lather, it's gorgeous! The smell enfolds even more when you lather it too. Lather gets 5 stars from me, again 6 if I could!

      3. The Result:

This is of course important. This shower cream leaves my skin so silky and smelling divine. I absolutely LOVE the way it makes my skin feel and smell! Result gets 5 stars from me, once again, 6 if I could!

Overall, this is a faultless shower cream for me and is perfect in every single way, even more than perfect actually! I LOVE IT! Price wise, this can be found for around the £1.50 - £1.75 mark, which I think is incredible value!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Nice when in use and leaves skin in a nice condition though its a shame the scent don't stay put!

I am a bit of a clean freak which means I don't half get through toiletries! Spotting this in Asda, on offer for 75p a bottle meant I was unable to resist it, after-all I'm fully aware of the brand that is Palmolive!

      The Packaging:

250ml white plastic bottle with a large section of pink plastic to the top of it which incorporates a flip-top lid concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle there is a cherry and some blossom drawn on and hazed with pink colour and I'm told that it is Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk, Calming, With Cherry Blossom & Moisturising Milk and there is something written in a foreign language on there as well. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, the size is stated (as I've listed already), ingredients are stated and contact details for Colgate-Palmolive are listed and lots of that information is also given in foreign languages to. Nice, easy to squeeze bottle this is and it looks rather attractive too in its design.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information On The Back of The Bottle:

Palmolive Shower Milk Calming is enriched with moisturising milk and extract of cherry blossom. It's rich, velvety formula gives your skin a calming sensation and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. Dermatologically tested.

      The Shower Milk Itself:

Well this shower milk is a slightly glossy white cream in its appearance. It squeezes out of the bottle with ease and releases a lovely sweet smell of cherries which is of course a fruity aroma however the blossom smooths that smell somewhat with a natural floral aroma that mingles really nicely with the fruity smell.

It lathers up with ease, feels smooth and silky when in use (and of course you can shave your bits and bobs with it if desired too!), and rinses off with incredible ease removing any residue along with it in seconds.

This leaves skin feeling really clean and the scent lingers on the skin for a good couple of hours. After using this I felt really fresh and my skin felt really soft and supple and in a none greasy way though calming? I'm not sure about that!

I think this is really a shower milk for the ladies this one and suitable for every day use. It's a simple and straightforward and skin friendly shower milk and you don't need much of it per wash at all! Not at all bad and I really do like the pretty fragrance of this one!

Available in all good supermarkets etc costing about £1.29 a bottle if its not on offer like when I purchased it!

        Disadvantages

        will buy this again

I do love my beauty products as many of you may know, but what I like even more is a bargain.

As a family of four we tend to go through a lot of shower gels/creams so it's a product I tend to buy quite frequently. I'm far from brand loyal and will buy whatever is on offer, and last week at my local Superdrug store they had Palmolive Naturals at £1 each or 2 for £1.50..

The one I am reviewing today is the delicious sounding Cherry Blossom.

        Price and packaging~
As mentioned in the paragraph above the price was two for £1.50 but even the normal RRP of £1 is, in my opinion, very good value for such a product considering it comes in a 250ml sized bottle.

The packaging is not that spectacular that it would have you wolf whistling from across the store, though it is fairly aesthetically pleasing in the fact it has a clean, simplistic look with minimum fuss. The bottle it comes housed in is primarily white with a cherry red lid (which is directly on top and in the centre). The bottle is upright standing and has a roundness to the top half of the design. A picture of a lonesome cherry and some blossom accompany the logo on the front of the packaging..so what's it like to use?

        Using the shower milk~
Apart from the fact this was on offer, the major selling point as far as I was concerned was the fact it was fragranced with cherry blossom. I love anything containing a cherry blossom scent so was eager to pick this up as part of my 2 for £1.50.

On opening the flip top lid I was greeted with a beautiful, delicate cherry fragrance which to me smelled divine. The shower milk itself is pale, pearly pink and iridescent in appearance, whilst the texture is creamy and the consistency is quite thick.

I found the lid to be easy to open and close, whilst the 'milk' itself comes out of the upturned bottle with little effort. It doesn't run all over and leak so that's a plus point for me.

I applied a smallish amount first to my hands and found it lathered up wonderfully. The aroma of the cherry blossom was even more intense - but not too overpowering - and I found that a small 10p sized 'blob' seemed to be adequate for cleansing all of my body.

        The results~
I love this and it's no secret! After rinsing off my skin felt soft, clean and quite moisturised. I had high hopes for this and it didn't let me down.
The cherry blossom scent lingered on my skin delicately for hours and even my bathroom had the aroma for several hours also.

The shower milk didn't dry my skin or cause any rashes, it just left it feeling velvety soft and scented.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          See review.

One thing that my family seem to use in abundance is shower gel, with us as a family of four getting through at least two bottles a week.

This being the case I always try to buy whatever is on offer, with the product of this review being one of those items.

The product I will now review is - "Palmolive naturals shower milk - calming with cherry blossom".

I have always liked the Palmolive range, as it seems to be gentle on my kids and husbands skin, I have to be reasonably careful as they all suffer with eczema and other dry skin complaints, but this has never irritated them.

The bottle itself is pretty generic looking with all the relevant information on, though with this product seemingly made more for the Greeks, with most of the language on the bottle being indecipherable, though there is a small passage on the back in English.

The only problem I have with the bottle, like so many others, is the lid! The lid is shaped and comes almost to a point meaning that once you have used most of the product inside you can't flp the bottle over to get out the dregs.

The gel itself is white in colour and quite thick in consistency. The scent is fantastic, with the floral smell of the cherry blossom being distinctive but not over powering.

When the shower milk is used there is an abundance of thick bubbles, and you really feel like you are using an expensive and luxurious product.

Once rinsed off, the skin is left feeling clean, smooth and smelling beautiful, though I didn't feel my skin was any more moisturised than before using it. This product didn't irritate mine or my families skin either, always a bonus!

Price wise this retails around the £1.30 mark, though is usually on offer in Asda (my supermarket of choice) as part of "buy 4 for £3.00"or such like.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Definately worth a try!

I was pleasantly surprised after trying Palmolive Shower Milk for the first time. My grandparents always used to use Palmolive soap so I always seem to associate it with older people, kind of warm and comforting but not very invigorating. I am pleased to have been proved wrong though and am now a definite fan of this product.

Palmolive Shower Milk comes in a handy squeezy bottle with a convenient flip top lid. This stops it from leaking everywhere or from getting diluted by stray shower spray. It is attractively packaged with a full list of ingredients on the back, meaning you can easily check it for allergens.

As soon as you open the lid you are immediately struck by the sweet and refreshing scent of cherry blossom. It is quite fruity and floral (as you would expect) but not overpoweringly so. Palmolive Shower Milk has a creamy consistency that leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised. The scent stays subtly on your skin, leaving you smelling great for the rest of the day.

I originally picked up a bottle of this at a discount chemist for £1.00 for a 250ml bottle which I think is fantastic value. I have seen it in Boots for around £2.20 for the same bottle so this really was a great find. I would definitely recommend Palmolive Shower Milk to everyone as a nice and effective product.

Great smelling shower product that leaves skin soft

I'd not tried any of the Palmolive range before purchasing this product but i'v been converted.

I suffer with dry skin and usually stick to the same old shower products but as i was walking round the supermarket i found Palmolive Naturals shower milk it leaves your skin feeling great, it feels soft and moisurised rather than tight and dry like most of the shower gels leave mine. Usually anything thats good for your skin don't smell of anything but this has a lovely smells that says on your skin all day. It's dermatologically tested too so it's not just that it makes your skin feel good, it actually is good for your skin.

Best of all i brought a 250ml bottle for only £1 which is a bargain and i'd recommend it to anyone with dry skin who has trouble finding a nice shower cream that feels nice, smells nice and wakes you up in your morning shower.

Great Shower Milk-PalmOlive Natural Cherry Milk

I recently purchased a bottle of Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk Cherry Blossom and thoroughly enjoyed using it.

When I opened it I found that it burst out with the aroma of fresh smelling cherries which I liked. After I used it I found that my skin was amazingly soft and smooth and calm like. Very nice after a stressful day at work or at home.

You only need to use a little at a time because it does seem to go a long way.

Also it has been tested so it is safe to use on most skin types but if you do have a problem with your skin best to check this out before you buy.

The cost was around £1.49 which was not too bad on par with many other shower gels.

It is in a nice size bottle which holds 250ml. Dumpy shaped container with a red removable lid. Eyecatching so it is easy to find in a shop so one is easily attracted to it. Also it is a nice size and shape to hold particularly if you have small hands.

I certainly will go out and buy this again sometime as I did have a very good experience with the product and would recommend this to my freinds and family.

A bottle of cherry goodness ........

Palmolive is part of the Colgate-Palmolive company which was created by William Colgate in New York City in the early 1800's. More than 200 years later, the small soap and candle company has grown into a global enterprise serving millions of consumers in over 200 countires.

Besides the Palmolive range of shower gels, bath foams, handwash, soap and other toiletries the company's other brands include: Colgate, Mennen, Ajax, Softsoap, and Hill's Pet Nutrition.

              PALMOLIVE SHOWER GELS
They are divided into five varieties:
*Palmolive Naturals - creamy shower gel with added moisturising milks.
*Palmolive Aromatherapy - shower gels with added fragrant essential oils.
*Palmolive Pure Cashmere - creamy shower gel with intense hydration.
*Palmolive Thermal Spa - shower gels with a home spa experience.
*Palmolive Limited edition - creamy shower gel with luxurious fragrances.

I am a big fan of the Palmolive shower gel range and I have tried every variety on the market. It's common place in my home and the only brand that I personally use. The 'Cherry Blossom & Moisturising Milk' fragrance is one of my favourites. I regularly buy this product so this is the fragrance I have chosen to review...................

              PACKAGING:
The bottle is almond-shaped and has a white body and a rose pink flip lid. On the front is the Palmolive Naturals logo in a contrasting jade and depicted below is a cherry and two cherry blossom flowers. The word 'calming' is also stated along with the shower milks' fragrance - Cherry Blossom & Moisturising Milk'.

On the back it claims that it will 'give your skin a calming sensation and leaves it feeling soft and smooth'. There is also the name of the manufacturer, their website address and also a helpline number. It is dermatologically tested. There is also an ingredients list.

              FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The packaging is attractive and quite girly so appeals as it looks like it is going to be a treat to use.

I always smell toiletries before I buy them - I have done it for years. I do not like really sweet smelling products so was quite apprehensive about this one especially with it containing cherry.

I was happily surprised - it smells lovely. It has a sharp cherry smell a bit like cherry drop sweeties but there is also a creamy undertone. I would describe it as a cherry version of the strawberries and cream sweets you can buy from old fashioned sweet shops.

              IN THE SHOWER:
The shower milk is dispensed easily from the bottle by just tipping it upside down and squeezing. If using a shower puff you only need a small amount - roughly the size 10p as it foams up lovely. I have also used it by pouring straight into my hand and massaging into my skin.

The shower milk is thinner in consistency than other shower gels but this may be due to the fact that it is a shower 'milk'. It can result in you pouring out a larger amount than you need, it is easily done. It is pale pink in colour.

It has a nice creamy feel to it and easily glides over your skin. It lathers up well and feels like you are coating your body in a thick creamy layer. It's really moisturising and has a fresh soft fragrance which is strong enough to make you appreciate it but is not overpowering.

              RESULTS:
It claims to have a calming effect and it works on me! I love to use this shower milk just before bed as it makes you feel really relaxed and clean and ready to dive into some fresh sheets.

If I accidentally forget to use body moistuirser after using this product it doesn't matter as it leaves your skin feeling really soft. It also leaves a subtle cherry blossom fragrance on your skin.

              PRICING & AVALIABILTY:
Palmolive Shower Milk is available from good toiletry stockists (Boots, Superdrug) and also supermarket chains. It costs approximately £1.85 but is often on a buy one get one free or half price offer. I have only seen it in a 250ml bottle unlike it's sister varieties which are also available in a 300ml.

You can also buy it online however, I found my last bottle in the local 99p Store and I have also seen it in Poundland. This is ideal when they are not on offer.

              CONCLUSION:
I have reacted to highly fragranced products in the past however, I can use this with no problem at all.

Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk with Cherry Blossom claims to have a calming effect and will leave your skin soft and smooth - in my opinion it does. When used with a shower puff it last's a long time and is perfect for if you want a pamper. It's fragrance leaves you feeling calm and at the same time refreshed.

I give this product 9/10 and highly recommend it!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

I'll stick with the Mlk and Honey

I have used Palmolive Naturals before, namely the Almond and Milk and Honey versions with a particular soft spot for the latter. This Cherry Blossom version is advertised as being new although I have being seeing it in Superdrug for a matter of months now.

Normally these 250ml shower milks can be bought in the bath foam alternative in the 1 litre bottles but this variety has not yet made it to that stage yet so perhaps they are seeing how successful it is as a shower milk before ploughing money into producing it as a bath foam. The shower milks aren't too costly, normally about £1.79, sometimes with a BOGOF offer which makes them real bargains, or you can sometimes get them at Poundland for of course £1.

This is quite an attractive bottle, particularly for a femininely decorated bathroom. Most of the bottle is white with the green Palmolive logo at the top. Then there is a pink picture of a cherry and some blossoms and the top is a very pretty coral colour. The only improvement that could be made here is if the bottle was inverted as that way the product drains down the bottle so you don't have to shake it when it gets near empty.

It comes out a very pretty baby pink colour and is quite runny as their shower gels tend to be. The smell or scent however was a bit disappointing. I was expecting something quite soft and gentle with a flowery edge to it but they don't seem to have hit the nail on the head here as it is very synthetic and reminds me of a floral air freshener in one way and of that pink Hubba Bubba chewing or bubble gum in another. If you open the bottle and smell it, it is actually quite sickly up close. It's not dreadful to use, but my high expectations were not met.

In terms of lathering up, here is where it performs well. Though it is runny and normally I don't like runny shower gels, this time it doesn't make a difference as you only need a little to get it really thick and foamy so you feel properly clean. Though I have not been impressed by this particular version, I will continue to get the Milk and Honey version.
