      Palmolive Pure Cashmere Shower Creme

This shower cream is enriched with extracts of 100% natural cashmere and moisturizing milk. The formula maintains the natural balance of the skin. They add a special moisturizing ingredient that soaks quickly into the skin making your skin soft and supple. The shower cream is dermatologically tested and approved for sensitive skin.

The shower has a creamy white color and has a very creamy feel to it. It has a slightly sweet scent to it. When you apply to the cream to the wet skin you can actually see it forming a white layer on the skin and it doesn't just rinse off that easily. You can feel the softness of the cream after you had the shower. The skin does actually feel soft and subtle. I do feel using a body lotion is therefore unnecessary afterwards.

I have a large white plastic container with a capacity of 500 ml. The bottle is provided with a gray cap which in the middle has a flip-top lid. This is easy to open and to close with one hand. This shower cream is very nice to use. It feels very soft on the skin and nourishes my skin. For me it's perfect because it takes out the need of using a body lotion afterwards. The skin feels soft and subtle for a very long time and the 24 hour promise might be true. The scent is slight sweet and personally I quiet like it. After rinsing the smell disappears as with most shower products. The shower cream is a must and therefore five stars.

      RECOMMENDED xx -

Palmolive Pure Cashmere Intense Hydration shower cream has been in my shopping trolley for many months now. I originally brought it from Superdrug as it was on offer and we tried it out.

My husband suffers with very sensitive skin under his arms and especially when it is warm weather he can get quite a sore area there. After using this shower cream for around a week, the sore itchy area completely healed up and disappeared and has never returned, despite brief sidetracking to other Palmolive shower creams. I have given it five stars simply for this fact, let alone the other great properties that it has.

The cream is very smooth and thick when it comes out of the bottle and feels very luxurious as you apply it to your body. The cream turns to foam very easily and you don't need tonnes of the stuff to clean your entire self. I will complain slightly about the shape of the bottle though. Being a simple oval shape it is easy to tip up and squeeze out when it is full, but as you use it up the bottle goes very concave in the middle, making it harder and harder to squeeze the contents out. A rethink on bottle shape would be good.

The smell is fairly subtle and doesn't remind me of anything, but just has a nice clean aroma to it which doesn't last once you are out of the shower, meaning there will be no cross over with your perfume/aftershave.

Price and availability are a bit of a sticking point though. It is very expensive stuff at around the £3.89 mark for the larger bottle. I always stock up when I see it on offer anywhere, but that's a problem too. Everywhere seems to have stopped stocking it. Sainsburys stopped ages ago in my town, Superdrug no more and now Boots who I brought my last lot from have got rid of the label from the shelf (I brought their remaining stock last time!) I will have to buy it from the Internet now or go searching in larger stores outside my area. Very frustrating.

However the proven effectiveness of the shower cream has my husband hooked and he won't use anything else now so I will be trauling the shops everytime I visit the next town for this fantastic, luxury shower cream.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Not sure where or why the cashmere comes into it but this product is amazing.

I have used Palmolive Pure Cashmere Shower Creme quite a few times. I bought it because it just sounded so lovely and I has started swimming so needed something to use in the shower afterwards to re-hydrate my skin after spending time in the chlorine.

Although I do not have sensitive skin, I do find that when I swim regularly, my skin dries out a lot and becomes rough around the edges, such as on the knees and elbows. This cashmere shower creme really moisturised my skin and helped to keep the skin on my knees and elbows soft and flake-free.

This shower creme is really thick and luxurious. You do not need much because a small amount will go a long way, but I find that I tend to put lots on after swimming, because I really want to get rid of the smell of chlorine.

I once used this on my hair when I forgot to take shampoo with me and it really made my hair shine. It was lovely. I didn't use conditioner (forgot that as well) and yet my hair did not tangle. It also did not go greasy quickly.

There is a lovely scent to this shower creme. It contains jojoba oil. Not sure what that is but man alive does it smell good! Once again, the smell adds to the luxury of this product.

Expect to pay £1.50-£1.80 for a 400ml bottle. This is really reasonable and well worth the money. I love it!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Softens skin and leaves a lovely grown up smell without breaking the bank.

I discovered this wonderful shower crème as the result of a mailshot promotion. My daughter delivers the local free newspaper and had a box of samples (complete with £1 off voucher!) to deliver with her papers. As usual she was given many more samples than required for her round and she generously donated the remainder to me (consider it her rent!), around about 70 sachets to be precise.
I have very sensitive skin, suffering on occasion from eczema and psoriasis and almost constant dry elbows and knees. Due to having dodgy skin (Dad's genes get the blame for this one) I am always very careful about what soaps, gels and crèmes I use on it, so I tested this shower crème on a small patch of leg first. A freebie is only a good thing if I don't have to pay a fortune on other crèmes, and possibly prescription ointments, to correct any damage it does.
48 hours later my skin was fine and there was a definite softness to the area of leg that I'd tried the shower crème on, in comparison to the rest of me. So I gave the whole sample sachet a try and was greatly impressed with the results.
The shower crème is a thick, pearlescent white which feels silky to the touch. It spreads easily over the body and, due to its rich consistency, does not require a huge amount for a decent clean (I found 10ml in the sample sachet's slightly too generous, and I'm not a small bodied woman!!). The milk and jojoba oil fragrance smells gorgeous too, very grown up with a more expensive scent than the £1.50 for 400ml price tag (Asda).
This shower crème is enriched with moisturiser and is promoted as producing, with daily usage, "softer, smoother skin in 5 days". I have to agree that it does moisturise very well. The online promotion also lays claim that "a gentle moisuriser ... stays on your skin for up to 24 hours" and I support this claim too, as you can feel it on your skin when you next take a shower. As for the claim that it is enriched with 100% natural cashmere extract, well, I always thought cashmere was something to do with jumpers, but hey, it smells good, it feels good and it gets me clean, if there's a bit of woolly jumper in there too then maybe it'll reduce my heating bills!
The freebie sachets have long gone, but with 70 £1 off vouchers I'm still happily buying this product although admittedly I'm paying 50p for it. The vouchers run out on November 5th and I'll be stocking up, but I think I would happily pay £1.50 for this shower crème if I had to.

A great shower product for luxurious soft skin

I'm a big fan of the Palmolive products in general as I use their milk and honey wash in the shower and the aquarium hand wash (definietly check this out if you have kids, they'll love it) so when I saw the new Palmolive Pure Cashmere Shower Creme I decided to give it a try.

I found them while looking for the milk and honey in Sainsburys and they were the same price, £1.89 for a 300ml bottle so I bought one.

The marketing of this cashmere shower creme is aimed at people with really dry skin. a sample line of their marketing states, "as you lather your skin, its luxurious milk formulation envelops you in softness leaving you feeling as it you're wrapped up in the finest cashmere. The cashmere in the title definitely gives the notion of silk/quality/expensiveness/luxury, which is nice.

I used it for the first time a few weeks ago. The consistency was definitely a very creamy one. You could see that it was very thick and you only needed to add a small bit to a sponge to have it foam up and it went quite a long way. The smell was very pleasant, much like their other flavours, clean, fresh and with a hint of luxury.

The creme is enriched with 100% natural cashmere extract and is said to release a moisturiser that stays on your body for up to 24 hours. I usually put on cream after I shower but I decided to try a little experiment and see if this product actaully does as it says on the bottle and I found that I was actually ok without body cream after the shower which was nice. My skin did stay quite soft afterwards but I'm sure you would have to use this product all the time to keep those results up.

The creme comes in three variants to suit all body types, Intense Hydration, Sensitive and Intense Nourishmnet. They are also all dermatologically tested and soap-free so just about everyone can use them. I have alwyas found them quite gentle but effective on my skin. It's now a battle to stop my husband using them!!

A great addition to your shower routine.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Try it!

Ever since I saw the adverts for this product, I really wanted to try it because the idea of cashmere extract in a shower creme sounded really good. However, I'd never seen it on special offer and I wasn't willing to pay £2.19 for a 200ml bottle of it. So when I saw both varieties (Intense Hydration and Sensitive) in the Boots clearance for £1.09 I couldn't resist buying one! I chose the Intense Hydration variety as I thought it would be more moisturising.

The bottle is a pearly white colour with a grey cap on the bottom. I prefer the cap underneath because it means that the shower creme sinks to the bottom and you don't have to shake it to get it out. The green Palmolive logo is at the top of the bottle, and it says "Pure Cashmere" in big letters and a pink swirl on the right. I quite like the bottle design, it looks pretty.

The shower creme has a lovely sweet scent, and it stays on your skin for a while, but not so much that it clashes with perfumes. The creme itself is a pearly white colour similar to the bottle, and is very creamy. I use exfoliating shower gloves, and a small blob of the creme is plenty for one shower, so hopefully it will last a while. It's different to shower gels in that it feels more creamy, which is nice.

It claims to release a "gentle moisturiser which stays on your skin for up to 24 hours". So instead of my usual post-shower moisturising, I decided to fully test this claim and find out if it did moisturise! Immediately after my shower my skin was incredibly soft and smooth, and smells gorgeous. I started wondering if I bought enough of this shower creme whilst it was cheap! Anyway, 24 hours later, my skin was still very very soft and lovely! I was really impressed because I get dry patches on my skin, but not this time.

I'd definitely recommend this to everyone, it's a lovely product that makes me feel nice and clean, and so soft! Even better if you can find it cheap like I did.

(I've also put this review on Ciao)

Luxurious way to shower - smooth and silky on your skin

I love to feel pampered so I was quite pleased when an envelope dropped through my door containing information about the Palmolive Pure Cashmere range of shower and bath crèmes. I was even more pleased when I noticed that the envelope also contained a sample of the shower crème (intensive hydration) to try out – in fact I could hardly wait to test it!

So, in the interests of research, I put the sachet in my shower and resolved to test it out the following day. The shower crème itself had a very pleasant aroma, not overpowering just lightly floral and very soothing. It lathered easily on my shower puff and felt lovely on my skin – so lovely in fact that I soon dispensed with the puff and used my hands. I felt wonderful, smooth and very gentle and quite sensual in fact and believe me I have never said anything like about any other shower product, ever! I love it. It has a wonderful creamy texture and feels so luxurious on the skin that I shall definitely be looking out for a full size bottle when I go shopping this weekend (and using the coupons that came through my door at the same time)

This product is gorgeous – if you like from time to time to feel pampered and cared for then I can highly recommend this product. It is a touch of luxury for the bathroom and will be very much a treat for me which I know I am going to enjoy. It left my skin feeling clean and soft and gently moisturised and quite makes up for the disappointment I felt after using the same manufacturer's Thermal range. This one is truly gorgeous, memorable and one that I think I will be using a lot in the future.

According to Palmolive this product contains extract of 100% natural cashmere, moisturising milk & Jojoba oil which releases a gentle moisturiser which stays on your skin for up to 24 hours. Although it does moisturise it is a very light moisturising effect which is fine for me but if you do have particularly dry skin you may wish to use your own moisturiser after your shower.

Palmolive also do a version of this shower crème for sensitive skin and also a range of bath crème’s as well. All versions are dermatologist tested soap free products.

          Would I recommend it?
          =================

Most emphatically YES! I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed showering with it and at last I have found a shower crème that lives up to its expectations and claims. If you want to feel really pampered then work up a good lather with your shower puff and follow this with your hands smoothing and massaging your body all over – wonderful. The only drawback for me is that this is quite expensive at around £2.20 per bottle - I just have to convince myself that I am worth it!
