The 'Possibility' bath range is defiantly one of my favourites, I purchased my first bottle of '3 in 1 gel' in 'Pink Champaign Sorbet' around a year ago from Amazon.com which has a range of 10 different scents all for only £3.00 and I have been addicted ever since.
Since then have purchased three more bottles, the first in 'Orange Cupcake' which reminds me some what of summer, it has a very fresh scent to it. The second was in 'Sweet Cinnamon Twist', this one I purchased near Christmas and it smelt amazing and was perfect for the festive season. The third bottle was called 'Peppermint Ice Cream' which smelt so good and so sweet it made me want to eat it, these three bottles I purchased from the 'New Look' website, they cost me around
£5 a bottle, they were a little more expensive than my first, but well worth the extra money.
I love the packaging on this product, not only is it a good size so you get a large amount of product which is well worth your money.
When first used the '3 in 1 gel' in the shower, it can also be used as a bubble bath, and I was shocked at how little product I needed to use to get a good lather, and also how strong and true to life the smell was. When I had finished showering my skin felt soft and had a nice glow to it. I also used the same product as a shampoo (as it is intended). When applying it to my hair however I found it had a drying effect, but it was not something a bit of extra conditioner could not handle.
In my opinion the 'Possibility' range is a must try, they are amazing value for money purely because they last so long and their multi functional. After using them as you choose they will make you feel and smell amazing. I would defiantly recommend them to everyone.
I purchased a set of 10 of possibility shower gels via a shopping channel a couple of months ago. I paid £9.99 for 10 with £7.99 postage. I like to add the postage on to the price for value for money, just because I could have nipped to Tesco for free and bought another type of shower gel from there, so I looked at these as though I paid around £1.80 per bottle, although off their price alone it was £1 per bottle. I've seen them in Home Bargains, New Look and on Amazon before now ranging between £1 and £1.99. They are advertised as being a 3 in 1 so suitable for use as shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo. I was attracted mostly to their scent descriptions as they sounded so gorgeous! The problem I have is that with 10 of them, there are a couple that I'm not overly keen on but in the other stores I mention they're available separately so you're able to pick whichever you fancy.
Even at a £1, I don't exactly think these are fantastic value, especially with current offers on constantly in the supermarkets with half price deals and 3 for 2 offers on the brands that are more well known. What you get for your money is a bottle of 525ml, which is large - the usual shower gels I pick up are half that size so there's a lot of shower gel per bottle.
The first thing to note is the bottle itself. Because it's a huge 525ml, it's difficult to keep in our shower cubicle. The tiny shelf on the shower is the only thing we have for putting anything on and this bottle is too bulky so it often just ends up on the floor. It's cylindrical in shape for the most part and has a flip lid but again due to the size, it's difficult to control how much of the stuff comes shooting out when the bottle is squeezed - it comes out fast so you have to be ready to catch it!
The range of 10 I have includes the following scents - crème brulee, peppermint, raspberry pavlova, cinnamon, strawberry souffle, lemon cheesecake, orange cupcake, marshmallow frosting, amber and lavender and pink champagne. Between two of us we've used a full bottle of the cinnamon and are half way through the raspberry pavlova so far - it's taken us just under 2 months so they've lasted ok but I can't help feeling though they should have lasted even longer than that. The scents, for the main part do smell as described - although they just smell generally like the scent, eg the raspberry pavlova one smells of raspberry but I can't detect the pavlova part! The strawberry and raspberry ones are my personal favourites as they are very sweet smelling but even the cinnamon, though I don't usually like it, is a nice scent too. The only one I'm not keen on is the peppermint as it is too strong although it's never really been a favourite of mine anyway.
I've only used this as shower gel and bubble bath so I don't know how effective it is as a shampoo. But, going off what I've found with it's other two uses, I'm assuming it's not fantastic. As a shower gel, it's not great. I need to use a lot (I'd say around 6 big squirts) in order to feel clean and fresh, which is false economy because although it's a huge bottle, I only use 2 to 3 squirts maximum of a smaller bottle. I think the worst part of these shower gels is it's inability to stay in your hand or on a sponge - as soon as it squirts, it slips off and is wasted. I often end up skating across the shower cubicle floor in order to pick up the spots of unused shower gel that have fallen straight down into the tray in order to give my feet an extra wash! I may as well! The other issue is that it has a weird consistency as although it's quite thin, it also sticks (although not sticky to touch) and the water from the shower doesn't rinse it down the plughole well. Every time I get out of the shower, there are red blobs of raspberry all over the place where the shower gel has landed and not been rinsed away.
Also due to it's consistency, it's not very good at rubbing onto your skin. It kind of just sits there on top and then rinses off quickly so you have to work fast to wash properly. I do find that the scent lasts for a little while after using which is a positive though - when I shower in a morning I can often smell a subtle scent of raspberries for a couple of hours after which is nice.
I find it's not great at being a bubble bath really either. It should just be called 'bath' as there is very little in the way of bubbles to relax in as it doesn't tend to mix with the water and just sticks to the bottom of the bath. Luckily, I prefer showers and have only used it now and again as bubble bath anyway.
I definitely won't be replacing our bottles with another set, I wouldn't even buy an individual bottle of it actually. Although the scents are lovely, it just isn't good enough for it's main job of cleaning and that's far more important to me. I have to rate them only 1 star, even though the scents are nice.
