There are some things which men shouldn't reveal in public forums. One of those is that I regularly use my wife’s shower products, and as a result I’ve discovered that I love the smell of coconut. As I work and live away, I often by my own showergels to use solely when I’m away – a recent trip to Sainsburys had me find various flavours of Radox showergels on offer so I bought the coconut kiss along with another two varieties.
In the same way that Yankee candles are, it smells good enough to eat. It’s not the greatest of ways to start the day in the shower though, it doesn’t give you that slap in the face that certain citrus or mint flavoured showergels do. However, (I’m about to reveal something else here that perhaps should remain unsaid) it is a very sensual smell and I can’t help having a quick sniff of my arm throughout the day of the sweet coconut, so long as no one is looking. I would say that the sweetness and smell is similar to coconut icing, but far better for my teeth as I also use (without her knowledge) my wife’s toothpaste instead of showergel for brushing my gnashers with.
It lathers up really well and feels very silky when rubbed into the skin, in the same way that my wife’s bubble baths do when I use those as showergels too. Shush, don’t tell her. I’m guessing the silkiness might come from the milk which it also contains, it’s not just a showergel containing coconut extract.
For one pound a bottle, I thought this was a little bit of Harrods style luxury at Aldi prices. I’ve seen it in other shops for upto two pounds a bottle, so I’d recommend only getting it when it’s on offer at half the price. I keep mine at work, there’s no way I’d take it home as my wife would use it all up. The cheek of it. Five stars.
Shower gels are not something that I tend to be particularly loyal towards. Usually I will pick up whatever is on offer if its at a god price and smells nice. However, after finding this little gem in a Pound Shop I am now on my third bottle of the stuff!
The shower cream comes in a standard bottle which sits on its head making it easy to hold and squeeze out the product. The only minor problem with the packaging is that you cannot see how much product is left. I am prepared to let this slide due to the amazing stuff thats inside the bottle.
As soon as you flip the lid open you are greeted with the most delicious exotic coconut smell. Its the kind of coconut that reminds you of the summer as it does have a tropical scent to it rather than just your standard plain coconut. I said to my other half that it reminded me of being in Cyprus a couple of years ago, I am unsure why but it just has that holiday smell to it.
You can use the shower cream on its own or with a bath lily. I have found that it produces a lovely, moisturising lather either way but a little definitely goes a longer way if you use a bath lily. The lather feels extremely soft and gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated.
Once out of the shower my skin still feels soft even if I do not use a moisturiser. The gorgeous coconut scent lingers on my skin for a couple of hours and I can't help but keep smelling the yumminess.
This little baby was found in the pound shop which I thought was a great buy. However prices do range from around 99p- £2.00 depending on where you buy it from.
All in all I cannot fault this product whatsoever and if you can get your hands on it I would definitely give it a go, especially if like me you found it in the pound shop!
I really enjoy trying out new soaps, shower gels and body lotions. I have to have showers during the week (for speed) but really enjoy my weekend bath. I bought a 250m bottle of Radox shower gel (Coconut Kiss) as this one was on offer for only £1 on Boots the other week As it's a new product by Radox, I am guessing this is why it was on special offer and no doubt the price will probably creep up at some stage.
I don't usually like the smell of coconut in bath or body products but this one claims that it contains exotic coconut milk which was going to help to moisturise my body and make it feel soft and smooth. I love the packaging of this product. It's quite plain and simple looking but ever so slightly quirky as it has an S shaped plastic body and the bottle itself stands on its little black plastic head, making it really easy to stand up in the shower and also making it easy to get the shower gel out when I have wet hands.
The bottle is also slightly squeezy which I really like,. The shower gel itself smells lovely, not at all man made or artificial, but it actually smells like really lovely fresh coconuts. It lathers exceptionally well and whenever I use my body buffer, this really helps to add to the foamy soapy effect. I use this all over my body and my husband loves it too and tells me he also uses it to was his hair. I haven't actually done that myself and I can only vouch for the fact that it is wonderful as an all over shower gel for the body.
It rinses off well afterwards and it does leave a noticeable difference to the hydration levels on my skin after a shower. In fact, I love this shower gel so much that I often use it in the bath at weekends as a bubble bath, and my daughter has also used it in her bath. It really does foam up well as a bubble bath too, and it gives loads of really big fat, long lasting bubbles.
The smell lingers on my skin for about half an hour or so after I emerge from the water but really I wouldn't have expected it to last any longer than this. The 250ml sized bottle only set me back £1 so it was really money well spent as far as I am concerned as this is a product we have used as an entire family.
I shall definitely be going out to buy more of this shower gel once this one has been used up and I am really pleased with it.
This is a new product from Radox, a coconut shower cream that apparently contains exotic coconut and milk. I've gone a bit mad on coconut lately I'm currently using coconut shampoo and conditioner and a coconut moisturiser, I hate the taste of coconuts but I love the smell of them and so when my Mom saw this on offer in Boots she bought it for me as we'd run out of the ocean fresh imperial leather shower gel we'd been using (I'll review that too).
The packaging is quite simple but the text on the front is bold and bright and so it catches your eye. The bottle is white plastic and the lid is black plastic. The lid is at the base of the product which I really like with shower gels because you don't have to tip the bottle upside down to get the last bit of product out of the bottle. It's a simple flip lid to access the product and on the front of the shower gel there is a "NEW" sticker along with the name of the product, on the back are directions for use, ingredients etc, it also says there is 250ml of product.
The product is currently available in Boots for £1.
I think this shower gel performs very well, it lathers up very easily and quickly and it feels as though the product is sinking into my skin, I feel a moisturising aspect whilst I am in the shower however this does not last when I leave the shower. The smell is very nice and although it perhaps shouldn't be the first reason why you buy a shower gel, the smell is always very important to me, especially when I find a shower gel that leaves the smell lingering on your skin which this one does. The main problem for this product though is that I feel they have been a bit deceptive, on the front of the bottle it says "contains exotic coconut & milk". As far as I can tell the ingredients of this product aren't really natural but manufactured, for some this may be a problem but I don't particularly mind using manufactured instead of natural products although I will use natural when and where I can.
Overall I really like this shower gel, it's a shame it isn't a bit more moisturising and it would also be a lot more appealing to some people if it was truly natural however it has a gorgeous smell that lingers and it also lathers up well, for the small flaws I will remove 1 star.
I wrote a review the other day about a minty shower gel that made me scream for all the wrong reasons which led me to the purchase of this particular one when I was in my local Poundland store. I love the fresh smell of coconuts on my skin so this when I sniffed it in the store being lovely, I of course bought it.
This comes in a nice looking and rather unisex looking white plastic bottle and it has a flip top black lid to the bottom of it to which conceals a small hole and on the front of it we are clearly told that it is 'New' Radox Coconut Kiss Shower Cream and that it contains exotic coconut and milk then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and the ingredients used within it, we are told that once we have opened it to use it up within 12 months of doing so, the size is stated which is 250ml and contact details for the manufacturer are stated.
The Shower Cream Itself:
This white coloured cream has a lovely thick feel to it and its smooth in its texture and smells divine and to me all I can smell is wonderfully rich and creamy and naturally sweet coconut. Maybe the sweetness this has to its aroma comes from the flowers but to me I can't smell any floral fragrance to this at all.
It lathers really nicely on the skin, feels really hydrating to my parched skin without being greasy and its smell lingers in my whole home (and mums when I was using it there!) with its scent for ages.
I can shave my bits and pieces with this and a little really does go a long way. It rinses off my skin leaving me smelling gorgeous all day long and my skin feels really smooth and fresh.
I can't recommend this one highly enough and not just because it smells nice and the scent lingers on my skin for so long but because its so kind and gentle and I have really noticed that using this now for the past couple of weeks daily whilst being at my mums that there is a real softness to my skin that I haven't felt in a long time.
Suitable for anyone to use I would say and it gets a massive thumbs up from me!
Available from all good supermarkets priced usually near the £2.00 mark but the Radox range of Shower gels and creams are usually on offer even in supermarkets but do look in discount stores and if you do see this...snap some up pronto!

Whilst I have more than enough shower gels at home, my husband will often buy products that he sees on offer and so we do have drawers overflowing with products in our already crowded bathroom. One such buy was this Radox Coconut Kiss shower cream, which he purchased for himself as he loves the smell of coconut. Spotting it on the side of our bath yesterday however, and being the opportunist that I am, I did sample a couple of squirts just to see what it was like.
The shower cream is packaged in a 250ml white plastic bottle which stands on its black flip top lid, ensuring that the shower cream inside always comes easily out of the bottle. On the front of the bottle the standard green "Radox" logo is shown together with the text "Coconut Kiss Shower Cream" typed in orange and white letters. A smashed coconut illustration gives a tropical look to this shower cream and is quite a simple yet telling illustration in my opinion. The packaging of this product means that it suits both male and female users I believe, and does not fall typically into either category.
Turning the bottle over we are told in green text that this shower cream is inspired by nature and that it "contains exotic coconut and creamy milk which brings an uplifting burst of paradise to every shower". All very promising I thought but what does it smell like.
Clipping open the bottle, the liquid inside is white in colour and slightly creamy in consistency. The smell of this shower cream is truly tropical and I agree with Radox entirely, being a rich coconut in fragrance with a touch of coconut milk. This scent is entirely natural in my opinion and being that I have had my fair share of coconut milk whilst holidaying in India over the past couple of years, it does smell very true to the fruit itself.
To use this product is simply a case of lathering it onto damp skin and then rinsing off. The cream comes easily out of the nozzle when the sides of the bottle are gently squeezed and spreads easily across my skin creating a light lather that smells heavily of coconut. After rinsing this product, my skin is left feeling soft, hydrated and with a hint of coconut that I really like.
After using this shower cream last night, I really enjoyed using this product and will look out for it when I am next shopping for shower gel. Price wise, it can currently be purchased in a number of cosmetics stores including Boots, Superdrug and Wilkinson and you should expect to pay around £1 for it at the moment as part of a promotion, I expect given that it is quite a new product from Radox.
This is a lovely shower cream and one which I plan to sneakily use again tonight, and as a result it comes highly recommended and scores an excellent five stars from me.
I hope this review has been of some help and thanks for reading! x
If it has coconut in it, I am likely to buy it. I love the smell, the taste and the feel of coconut. So whilst in Asda I came across a new range of Radox Shower Gels and the one which caught my eye in its bright white packaging was 'Coconut Kiss' a shower cream which contains exotic coconut and milk. On the shelves where you find shower gels, there is always a plethora of colours all trying to catch your eye and because this was bright white, I was immediately drawn to it and as it was on offer for £1, I bought two.
On the front of the packaging you will find the word Coconut in an orange colour with the word Kiss underneath in white and again, the colouring catches your eye along with the sticker that shouts 'New' to you as you move close to inspect it. This shower gel is a 250ml bottle in the new design which is much easier to grasp onto with wet hands whilst in the shower.
I am quite a fan of Radox Shower gels and there is always a few in the bathroom, I buy the Mister some masculine smelling shower gels and I tend to opt for the more flowery or fruited scented ones. This one fits in neither category, once you open the black flip top lid you can immediately smell the coconut, it is like having a Bounty chocolate bar and a bit of Malibu in a tube, not an artificial smell at all, it just smells that wonderful.
== What they say - Coconut Kiss==
"For girls who like to chill and un-wind why not try Coconut Kiss: Why stop dreaming when you get out of bed in the morning? This blissful shower gel containing coconut and milk has a deliciously Caribbean scent that will allow you to calmly daydream into your very own world of paradise with super soft skin.
Radox Coconut Kiss Shower Cream is inspired by nature. This delicious blend of natural ingredients, like creamy milk and exotic coconut, evokes an uplifting burst of paradise to every shower. With fabulously fruity fragrances your Coconut Kiss shower cream will leave you smelling gorgeous all day".
Upon squeezing the tube, you release a bright white cream which is fairly thick in texture and again that coconut aroma becomes more fragrant and unlike anything else I have used from Radox in the past, I simply loved it. The cream itself produces a lot of lather, as soon as it comes into contact with your sponge, flannel, Loofah or whatever it is you use to wash yourself, the warm water fluffs the cream up and you are suddenly covered in coconut smelling lather, lots of it. As you stand immersed in your coconut lather and wash yourself you could be on your tropical island with your cocktail, the smell is that fresh.
After showering I was delighted that the coconut smell was so strong on my skin and again it isn't an artificial smell, it is a fresh coconut smell, almost as if you have covered yourself in coconut cream, Malibu and eaten a Bounty, it is delicious and it stays put for hours after using. My skin, well soft and smooth to the touch as well, absolutely no complaints from me and as soon as the bathroom door is opened and the steam is allowed to escape throughout the house, with it goes that coconut scent into every room.
This is a delightful smelling shower cream, one of the best I have ever used from the range and one that is likely to remain in my bathroom for a long time to come, well worth the £1 I spent on it as an offer and I would happily pay the full price of £2.15 for it and you can find these products in Boots, Sainsbury's, Asda and Savers.
This Radox shower cream is part of the new Fresh & Fruity Range which has recently hit the supermarkets and they come in three flavours which are Coconut Kiss, Berry Burst, Cherry Blast.
I have a bit of an obsession with the smell and even taste of coconuts. I spotted this new coconut shower gel in boots whilst browsing with friends. I currently use coconut shampoo and conditioner and using this shower gel with it too, just makes me smell entirely of coconuts.
The shower Gel:
This bottle of Radox coconut kiss shower gel is superb. The smell is perfect. I usually use ex foliating gloves when in the shower and the thickness of this shower gel is perfect for using the gloves. It lathers up really well and leaves your skin amazingly soft. It doesn't sting, itch or irritate my skin which is perfect as I have quite sensitive skin on my arms and this shower cream has stopped the itching. It comes in a white bottle with the words "coconut kiss" written in black and orange on the front with coconut images also. It's a very new product as I had only spotted it in boots in January. A week or so after purchasing it, I popped into wilkinsons where they had it on offer for 80p as it was a new product. I picked up another 4 bottles of it to store away as I loved it so much.
The consistancy is thick, creamy and white. It comes out of the bottle with ease and the smallest amount goes far. Whenever using shower gels, I always recommend using exfolating gloves or a shower puff to make make it lather up well. Just rubbing it into your hands doesn't get the maximum use out of it and will make you use more on each shower.
Radox brought out a new range of shower gels including this Coconut Kiss scent, Berry Burst and Cherry Blast. I haven't bought either of the other scented ones as I'm not a fan of smelling too sweet as it makes me feel a bit sick after a while. I would suggest going to the store and opening the lid to have a sniff before making your purchase on this range. They coconut one is the more subtle smell. It's not overpoweringly sweet, smells fresh and light and reminds me of Malibu tanning lotion which makes me think of being abroad on holiday.
I love this shower gel. I think it is perfect for what I need whilst showering. It's soft and soothing, smells fantastic and really clings well to your skin after washing. It does ware off after a few hours (or I'm just becoming immune to the smell) which is a shame but it's definitely worth using if you like the smell of coconut. I am definitely converted and will be using this shower gel for a long time yet!.
