Unlike Lush fans I have several requirements from a bubble bath: I want it to be kind to my skin, cost as little as possible, be suitable for both me and my partner, provide bubbles for several baths and smell nice. I consider it to be an item I don't want to spend much on and don't really need it to colour the water of the bath or leave bits of glitter etc on the bath. Although Lush items sound great and I like to read about them they don't really fit my personal criteria for a bath product.

So recently our local Somerfield was selling Radox Daily Elements Restorative Bath Soak for £1 for a 500ml bottle and it seemed ideal. The Restorative version of Radox has sea fennel, pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E all wrapped up in a light green creamy looking liquid.

The creamy texture of this bath soak means you don't accidentally pour too much into your bath and the little bit you do add will not only produce a large amount of bubbles but also a lovely fresh smell. The smell actually reminds me a bit of cucumber and is suitable for men and women without being either too masculine or feminine, perfect for both my partner and I.

Apparently sea fennel is full of natural mineral salts so is very good for the skin. This bath soak is also PH balanced so it won't dry out the skin either. The bottle is of course suitable for recycling too.

We're on our second bottle of this bath soak as the first was so nice I bought some more. It leaves a light scent on your skin which is incredibly fresh and also fragrances the bathroom the same as you run your bath. I have skin that's prone to dryness and this doesn't dry it out at all, that's not to say it moisturises because it doesn't and I still need moisturiser afterwards but it isn't harsh and doesn't strip away all your skins moisture.
The smell is light and the water feels soft and relaxing with this bath soak in it.

I use a quick splash of this under a running tap to get the best effects, I don't measure it but each bottle lasts us about 10 days and I have a hot bath every day and my partner alternates between a bath one day and a shower the next. So it manages 15 baths at least, probably more because I sometimes use it in the shower in the mornings on one of those net puffs which as we all know means you only need a tiny bit to go a long way.

Overall it's inexpensive, a good size bottle that lasts well, smells great and can be used by men or women and doesn't dry out my skin. Thoroughly recommended!
