Advantages: sticks to its claims, smells lovely, isn't expensive
Disadvantages: limited edition
When it comes to shower gel, I pretty much use whatever is brought for me - regardless of the smell. Although, I've started to enjoy buying bits for myself occasionally.
On a trip to Wilkinsons, I picked up this shower gel (and the bubble bath form) as it was only £1 - which is quite low for a shower gel nowadays.
The gel is in a clear bottle with a flip-top cap at the bottom that is black and a black bit on the top. Its only recently that I realised this can be pushed up to form a hook. The hook is incredibly useful as you can hang it from a shower caddy or anywhere relevant. I used to hang mine from my shower caddy until I got rid of it, now it just sits on the side of the bath.
The bottle is quite a stylish curved shape and is new to Radox - but it makes you know which brand it is instantly.
The gel itself is a pearlescent pink which shimmers in the light, very feminine! It reminds me of a tropical island - especially with the flowers and image on the front and the idea of it being an 'eastern spirit'. The gel is quite thick but a little runny, it smooths onto the skin easily and lathers up well.
Radox claims that the product will rejuvenate your senses, sending you to a tropical paradise while softening your skin and refreshing your body.
Just in case you have any allergies or were wondering, here are the ingredients:
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum, Sine Adipe Lac, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Extract, Citric Acid, Glycol Distearate, Limonene, Sodium Lactate, Polyquaternium-7, Steareth-4, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, CI 16035, CI 16255.
I hate shower gels that smell bad. When I originally saw this product I assumed because it looks so good, it wouldn't smell nice. It smelt gorgeous! I couldn't wait to get home and try it out.
It smells very sweet and floral, but in a non-musty way. The gel is infused with lotus flower and orange blossom, both are very prominent in the scent. If I shut my eyes while I use this in the shower, I almost feel like I'm in an eastern spa paradise!
I have to admit, I love that Radox always give the nicest smells to their products as it relaxes me before a (possibly) stressful day ahead.
I would recommend this product highly. It does claim to be limited edition but I think due to how quickly it goes down in my local Wilkinsons - its here to stay and making a profit! It left my skin feeling soft, smooth and well moisturized - as well as making me very relaxed and calm.
I have stocked up and until something nicer comes along, its here to stay!
Summary: sent me to a far away paradise for 5 minutes
