Radox Herbal Bath Time Out
Advantages: Relaxing, kind to skin
Over the past few months I've been enjoying the relaxing experience of having an evening bath. I wasn't unclean before this recent penchant for baths ... sticking to showers in the main but I thought it would be relaxing to have more baths and also hoped it would stop me watching too much TV and thus reduce my evening snacks intake!
I've tried numerous types of bath products but I've got to say the product I've been most pleased with to date it Radox Timeout Bath Therapy. Most people will have heard of Radox the brand, as they have been in existence over 100 years. The packaging of my bath soak states that they have been blending since 1908 which makes me think they must know a thing or two about getting the product right.
The bottle is about 20cms tall with a square shape to it. The purple bottle contains 500ml of thick purple liquid. This concentrated liquid means that when I add to my running bath water only a small amount is needed to fill the room with a heavenly aroma and fill the bath with welcoming suds. The main herbal ingredients are mimosa and lavender which I love especially in the evening as I find the scent relaxing and helps me wind-down after a long day. This love is mainly for the smell of lavender, which I really enjoy. Before using the product I wasn't sure of mimosa and what its benefits were and I've done a bit of research, which states that the plant is used in medicine to help aid insomnia and with sleeping. Radox also mention on the packaging that it's great for lifting your mood. Now I cannot say for certain if the ingredient has lifted my mood as to be honest a relaxing 20 minutes in the bath already does enough to life my spirits.
In addition to the lovely smell and luxurious bubbles the product delivers I also find it very gentle on my skin. I like to soak for a good 20 minutes or so and I have found other cheaper products on the market make my skin dry and irritable after that amount of time submerged in the bath. Not with this Radox product. My skin isn't dry or irritated at all and infact I find it leaves my skin softer. It does state on the packaging that it has a 'perfect pH balance' and my skin appears to appreciate this.
The packaging also contains a full list of the ingredients, which are easy to read for those who need to be careful with their skin. If you are interested you can obtain ingredient information for this and all Radox products at www.radox.co.uk (I wont bore you here with the long list). Another thing I think is really good is that Radox clearly state on the plastic packaging that it's recyclable (but you must remove the cap before sending for recycling). I think this is really helpful as I'm often unsure whether or not certain plastics are recyclable.
As for the price this can vary I got my last bottle on offer in local B&M Bargains for £1 which was really good value. In most supermarkets they seem to retail about £1.90 but can be found on offer on occasions.
Overall I'm very please with Radox timeout bath therapy, it last ages, is kind to my skin and helps me relax so all in all a 5 out of 5 from me.
Thanks for reading
