~~Radox Muscle Therapy~~
~~Why I purchased this product~~
I bought this product as by now many of you know I am pregnant, it seems to surround the majority of my reviews now but sorry I am a first time mum and extremely proud and excited! Anyway back to the review, I bought this as I have been suffering with Sciatica with the pregnancy which means I get a lot of lower back and limb pain accompanied with pins and needles and numbness, not pleasant at all, so when I seen this product I thought I would give it a go. My husband also has a very physically demanding job so I thought the product would be well suited for the both of us.
The Radox muscle therapy bath soak comes in a sleek slim line bottle with raised marks on showing the Radox logo on both sides. The bottle itself is transparent and you can see the deep red colour of the product, to me this symbolises warmth and healing, which is what you would expect from a product of its type. The front of the bottle contains a label with the Radox logo, and a brief description of the product, on the rear of the product is another label which gives information on the product, contact details of the company, and an ingredients list. The lid of the bottle is plain black and the neck of the bottle is wide so when using the product I would advise you to be careful as it can come out quite fast.
~~Efficiency of the product~~
I have gone through a full bottle in a couple of months this proves its efficiency, normally with a bath product it sits on my bath shelf for months on end as I never get round to using it. Both me and my husband have had great results from this product. I would ideally recommend that it is used on a night time before bed so that the effects are greater, after soaking in a warm bath with two capfuls of this added to it my back has felt miles better, it loosens your muscles and makes you feel extremely relaxed and has helped me get a better, deeper night's sleep. If you use more than 2 capfuls which is not necessary but does make a more bubbly bath, then it can turn the water a slight red however, it does not dye the skin at all so do not be worried by this as I have done it plenty of times.
The Radox muscle therapy bath soak is scented with black pepper and ginseng; do not be put off by the black pepper part I can ensure you, that you won't be sat in the bath with a box of tissues next to you! I would say the scent is more masculine then feminine yet it does appeal to both me and my husband, it is not overpowering and does not scent your skin for too long after use which I find is a great advantage as some similar muscle therapy products such as the traditional deep heat products have strong putrid smells which linger for a long period of time. The smell reminds me off the sort of aromatherapy oils used in sports massage it is pleasant and subtle and definitely not overpowering.
~~Price (15/08/12) ~~
Boots £2.00 or 2 for 1
I think the price is very good for this product as it does last a long time and does what it claims to.
~~Who would I recommend this product too?~~
Ideally, anyone could use this product as it is a great all-rounder it leaves skin feeling soft and muscles feeling relaxed. However, I feel this product would provide itself to be more beneficial to people who have trouble sleeping at night, people who do a lot of strenuous activity, people who are on their feet all day and pregnant women.
