Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak
Advantages: Relaxes body, makes you feel mentally well, smells wonderful.
Disadvantages: Bottle is small.
I bought a bottle of this Radox Muscle Therapy recently because I was looking for something to relax me and make my bath feel and smell great too. I was attracted to this over other products in the store because I trust the brand name. The product was also very visually appealing as the liquid inside the bottle is a deep, crimson red colour and there is a picture of spices on the front label. This variety of the Muscle Therapy Bath Therapy liquid is called 'black pepper and ginseng' bath soak which sounded unique and luxurious to me.
The product comes in a 500ml sized bottle. I personally would like the bottle size to be a little bigger as I usually buy great big bottles of bath foam or bath soak and tend to use a lot of it. This bottle is just a little too small for me and I've found myself getting through it very quickly.
As mentioned above the bottle is transparent and therefore it is recyclable. The bottle is fitted with a small black cap which is easy to unscrew and which can be secured easily. A label on the back of the bottle provides much product information including full ingredients. Radox also use this space to explain what the product is all about. They claim that this product can 'rejuvenate' you and promise it will "revive your body and mind". They explain that the liquid comprises of peppercorns and ginseng and that it is Ph balanced and approved by "skin experts".
The brand don't tell you what quantity to use in your bath so I initially experimented with different amounts and discovered that my experiences varied according to how much liquid I added to the water. You need to add the liquid to running warm or hot water for best results. This way it melts into the water instantly and turns into bubbles. Lukewarm water does not bubble very well though nor does small amounts of the liquid.
The liquid is very thick and moves like a dense syrup. It very faintly changes the colour of the water but not so much that it's very noticable or dramatic. The liquid will become a foam if enough is added but the foam is comprised of rather thin and small bubbles. The water feels slippery and soft when the liquid is added causing you to relax and let go as the water covers your body.
The fragrance of the product is strong and beautiful. It's like a blend of plants and spices, a mix of sweet and sharp that stimulates and entrances the senses. I find it a relaxing and pleasing fragrance that makes me want to lean back and inhale. The fragrance is such that I'm confident I'll smell great when I get out of the bath too, so this is a big plus for me.
My skin also feels lovely and soft and supple after using this in my baths and I've recently bought another product in this range as I'm so pleased with it. It's definitely a relaxing and rewarding bath soak. I came home from travelling the other day and the first thing I wanted to do was have a bath with this! It did the trick and undid seven hours of being on the road! It literally puts a smile on my face when I get into a bath with this product in it!
I would definitely recommend and think this is a high quality bath soak. My only concern is that it is slightly more expensive than some other products I've used and I tend to use a lot of it to achieve the bubble effects and it is used up quite quickly.
Summary: Great stuff.
