A shower cream from radox which leaves skin soft but the smell isnt great.

Radox “Spoil Me” is a shower cream with extracts of pearl and milk designed to moisturise and pamper the skin. I bought it in Sainsbury’s for £1.48 for 250ml and it is currently on a 2 for £2 offer.

Radox is a company with over 50 years experience in making bath products. They make products which are designed to be kind to your skin due to the addition of skin conditioners, they are pH balanced and also dermatologically tested.

The bottle itself is plastic and holds 250ml. It is slightly different to many other shower products on the market having an asymmetrically curved bottle. The bottle is clear which allows you to see how much is left, a feature I like on these kind of products. At the top is a hook which clips out, this means if you use it in the bath you can push the hook out of the way or if you use it in the shower you can pull out the hook and hang it up ready for use. At the bottom of the bottle is a flip down lid to dispense the product. I found that this lid gets a bit messy as when you dispense the cream it spreads around the dispensing hole and the lid. This design could be improved upon.

The shower cream itself is a white opaque colour with a pearly texture and is of moderate consistency, not too thick or thin. It has a perfumed fragrance, difficult to describe but to me felt a bit too synthetic. It is definitely a fragrance designed for a woman rather than a man.

The cream foams up quickly on your wet skin and feels nice and smooth and creamy as you wash. After washing and drying there is a light fragrance on your skin, again the fragrance is not of my choice, its too synthetic. My skin feels slightly smoother but I would still want to use a moisturiser after washing.

My thoughts on this shower cream is that it is pleasant to use, leaves skin slightly softer and clean. However it is not my favourite smell and I would prefer a more natural scent. For me this isn’t quite up to Radox’s usual standards. I feel they are trying to expand their range but maybe should stick to doing what they do best and that is to produce products with a natural blend of herbal extracts. It was ok to use but its not a shower cream I would buy again as there are better options available on the market.
