Remember when these used to sponsor Friends on TV? Well I watch that show pretty much everyday and I think all the advertising got to me as after a few weeks I felt compelled to go out and buy one of these "Shower Smoothies" just to see what all the fuss was about and of course as a very girly sort of girl I went for the pink version - which is also known as Soul Soother.
Price: Around £3 Per 200ml Tube
Stockists: Amazon, Supermarkets ETC
Others: Spirit Booster (White), Energy Therapy (Green) & Natural Balance (Yellow).
I expected this as its right there in the name to look like smoothie in the bottle like really thick and with loads of different colours but it really doesnt. To me it looks like yoghurt with bits in and there is no better way to describe it believe me it however does look just like a runny body lotion and proper creamy. If someone put this in a bowl and said it was yoghurt I bet you would believe them - DONT TRY THIS AT HOME LOL.
Its pretty easy to squeeze some of this out of the tube but dont be too heavy handed as you dont need a lot and it does come out of the tube quiker than you expect! I definately recommend using exfoliating gloves/a shower puff when showering with this as it just helps it lather up and that way you dont need to use as much per time. This does lather up really well and it feels dead luxurious and creamy on your skin more so than an ordinary shower gel anyway. A really small amount will definately lather up enough to cover your whole body - about a 10p piece worth I think should be enough so I think a 200ml tube will last ages.
The scent of this is actually designed to help you sleep and unwind after a hard day - now I dont know whether or not it does that but it certainly smells amazing. The Boots website say this shower gel is a mix of blackcurrants, camomile and real cranberry seeds which explain the weird little red dots throughout the "smoothie". The berry scent is definately the most prominent smell as this does smell incredibly fruity and really does smell good enough to eat although its not recommended. The smell stays on my skin for hours after Ive used this but I reckon it wakes me up more in the morning rather than put me to sleep at night.
This makes my skin feel amazingly soft and smooth and with prolonged use I think it definately helps to repair dry skin and keeps your skiin looking, feeling and smelling amazing. Not sure that it helps you relax and unwind but its definately better than my usual shower gels. Have a smoothie in the shower! The added little pips and seeds also help to exfoliate dry/dead skin as well which I thought was a nice added touch as that way I dont have to wash with shower gel and then exfoliate (or vice versa) so it is a great time saver!
