Radox Shower Smoothies
Advantages: Smells great, cleans well, lathers up well,
Now most people will know from reading my previous reviews, I usually use Soap and Glory products in the shower, but I recently got a sample of Radox Shower Smoothies in a magazine, and thought I would give it a go.
The one I got in the magazine is the Coconut variety, named Tropical Tranquility, and of course the first thing I did was give it a sniff. It smells really yummy, a great summery scent of coconut which reminds me of summer holidays abroad. I couldn't wait to get a shower and give it a go. The tropical tranquility also has almonds and myrrh in it, although the smell is predominantly coconut.
The smoothie is quite thick, and squeezes out of the bottle nicely. The coconut one is white, as you would probably expect. As soon as you pour some out, the smell just hits you and it is wonderful! I use a body puff in the shower, so I squirt some of the shower smoothie onto this and scrub away. The smoothie lathers up really well, and a tiny blob goes a long way, in fact just one blob about the size of a 50p covered my entire body!
The smoothie rinses really easily and once I got out of the shower and dried my skin, I could still smell the coconut scent really well, but not so strongly that it was overwhelming. My skin was glowingly clean, soft and smooth and didn't feel tight or dry. I suffer from dry skin and eczema and most shower products are known for leaving me with rashes, tight skin or just down right skin irritation. Luckily this left me with no problems and I have used it many times no, still with no problems!
You can buy Radox Shower Smoothies in Boots and Superdrug for around £3 - £4 a tube, also you can buy it on Amazon for £1.99. As well as the Tropical Tranquility, there is also Natural Balance - Yogurt and Honey, Spirit Booster - Pomegranate and Elderberry, Soul Soother - Cranberry and Blackcurrant, and Energy Therapy - Lemongrass, Ginseng and Gurana.
I totally recommend the Radox Shower Smoothies range, especially the tropical tranquility. Although you have to wonder what kind of world we live in, when the bottle actually tells you not to drink your own shower gel/body wash! Are people really that stupid these days?
Summary: A great body wash
