I tend to mostly use Soap and Glory shower gels, but I must have finished my bottle in my last shower and forgot to put the new one in. Therefore rather than getting out of the shower while wet I thought I'd use the Radox Active shower gel which was in the shower. I used to actually use this quite a bit before I got into Soap and Glory! However, I then gave my half used bottles to my boyfriend to work his way through, and it's been pretty slow going as he prefers to use soap.
This Radox shower gel currently costs £1.90 on the Tesco website, but you can probably pick it up for £1 in cheap shops, or in supermarkets when it's on offer. It's definitely good value if you're only paying £1.
It's in a 250ml bottle with a useful bit at the top so you can hang it up in the shower. The bottle is clear with blue plastic at the top and bottom.
The one I have is blue in colour, and has a lemongrass and seasalt flavour. I can definitely get a citrus smell, but not too sure about the sea salt. To me it smells lovely and fresh (a bit like holidays - in fact would be idea for when getting out of the pool) and is suitable for males or females I think.
I use a shower puff thing to apply my shower gel, and I find that this lathers up really well. It can also be used as a shampoo - I wouldn't myself, but it's probably ok for men. I won't bore you with a list of ingredients, you can check these before you buy anyway.
I would recommend this as something to have in, but it's not my favourite shower gel by any means, and for this reason can only give it 3 out of 5 stars!
Radox Active - 2in1 Shower Gel & Shampoo
Spring back to life with lemongrass and sea salt, been putting your body through its paces? If you've been working hard or working out, Our active shower gel & shampoo will recharge your tired body.
Radox is a great brand of bath and shower products, the best ever thing is relaxing in a nice warm bath with some radox bubblebath, its so relaxing after a nice long day, so i thought wow when i saw this shower gel specifically desgined for the active individual, not only does it use its fragrance to relax you it also revitalises you and your skin.
Its a brilliant smelling product that cleans the body and hair immaculatley, the lemongrass and sea salt smells fantastic and really aids in the invigoration process; the sea salts also help to cleanse the skin and it also boasts a perfect pH balance.
Personally i think this is a great product and so it should be, this type of brilliant showergel is what i expect from Radox, although i do generally associate them with relaxation as oppose to invigoration, but i dont see why they cant succeed at both.
And trust me they did, this shower and shampoo gel is another perfect product for me, it gets rid of gym and daily smells and just makes you feel better, for example when you get out of a nice warm shower and just feel "ahhhhhhhhhh!" and just so clean its great. Not too expensive and comes in a great bottle and some sort of scientific info.....well more herbalist info but its still great.
A nice product does exactly what it says on the bottle, i would recommend this to anyone expecially.....you guessed it the ACTIVE. I think i recently got this on offer from some sort of Superdrug store or some other local chain, it was about £1.50 for 2 which was awesome i think....Overall an execellent purchase, but i do still see Radox as the relaxation specialists not so much on the wake-up side as far as shower gels go.
Sorry about the title, but if Mrs Belinda is reading this, then hands off. She is always pinching my Shower Gel. But then I sometimes pinch her Bubble Bath, sshh, don't tell the lads at work. I actually bought this on a Buy One Get One Free, hence the title, and thought it was a bargain for £1.29 from our local Morrisons. My wife normally grabs some cheap and not so cheerful shower gel as we are passing the aisles, and won't spend more than this on me, boo hoo. Seriuously though , I tell her not to bother as good old soap and water will normally do to get the body parts back in a decent smelling condition. But she insists on buying it me. Radox for Men comes in a Dark Blue colour and has a swirl of sea pictured on the front, it made me want to pee, the sight of water always does. Seriously though it reminded me of my holidays and I wanted to go back again. The handle was shaped so I could wrap it round the shower metal bar, so I could easily grab it without pestering Belinda to keep passing it to me. The lid easily lifts to reveal the non drip nozzle. If you leave the shower gel lid open, the gel doesn't run out and trickle halfway down the bath/shower and leave a mess. The fragrance is rather like a certain Lynx product, but I can't remember which flavour. It's a nice clean smell and if you got carried away, you could almost smell the Ocean. Aren't I being romantic? It actually has sea Minerals in it, whatever that means, I can just picture divers going down into the sea and bringing loads of Sea Minerals back to good old Radox can't you?. I'm not being sarcastic, but what are these ingredients meant to mean to someone like me, all I want is to smell nice and look clean again. This shower gel can be used as a shampoo too, but I prefer to use a seperate shampoo, but if I was stuck, I would give it a try. I can imagine it foaming up well in your hair, as it foamed well on my hairy chest, oeer Matron. I used it over 2 weeks everyday and have now finished it, I do tend to squirt some in the bath, then watch it bubble, then wash myself with it too. I do go through shower gels really quickly, but then I'm a keen cyclist and sweat a lot. Belinda's threatened to buy me some cheap soap if I don't make it last longer, how cheap can she get? . Not her, I mean , how cheap can you find a good shower gel, I thought this was a bargain. Normally I think it's between £1.29 and £1.99 for one, but got the BOGOF deal. Afterwards I always felt refreshed and revived, whether it's Radox the product itself, or just mind over matter, but I do think Radox has a good name. Radox shower gels are renowned for being kind to the skin, and this didn't bring me out in any rashes at all. Some products do, and the more expensive, the more rashes I get for some reason. It is PH Balanced and dermatologically tested and contains active skin conditioners. I'll certainly be sneaking this into the trolley again when Belinda's not looking, (only joking she's not that tight)... Radox is made by Sara Lee, H&BC UK, Slough, SL1 4AU. Telephone 01753 508123
Whilst living at my previous house I think I tried every one of the Radox Bubble Baths, as it was easier for me to take a bath than a shower. The shower there was over the bath and made an awful mess that had to be cleaned up each time it was used. At the new house we have a walk in shower cubicle so it's showers all the time, in fact I haven't yet had a bath since we moved here a fortnight ago! And what better time to try out the Radox Shower Gels than when they?re on B.O.G.O.F. (Buy one get one free) at Boots? So that means two shower gels for £1.99 or even better for 199 Boots Advantage Card points like I did. I treated myself to my first two yesterday and today I have tried was Radox Showerfresh Active Shower Gel and Shampoo 2 in 1. It comes in a bright blue plastic squeezable container with a hook on the top so that you can hang it up in the shower. It has ridges in the plastic down the sides so that it is easy to grip with wet, soapy hands. The best invention for me is the gel dispenser bit. To get at the shower gel you have to flip the plastic lid and squeeze the container. Nothing unusual in that you might think but where the gel actually comes out is a clear plastic disc covering the hole with a tiny hole in the centre which means that the shower gel does only come out when you give it a squeeze. This means that if you do happen to drop the container in the shower and the lid is flipped open when you do so the shower gel won't run out and be wasted. Clever eh? The gel itself is a turquoise, blue in colour and it smells lovely. I can't actually describe specifically what it smells like as it made with 'sea minerals' so what exactly it is that makes the fragrance I don?t know but it is very nice and yes, it is reminiscent of the sea! It is supposed to provide energy for the body and mind and I did find that I felt fresh, clean and wide awake when I got out of the shower. <
br> It is also PH balanced and has an 'active skin conditioning formula' intended to leave your skin feeling softer and smoother and my skin certainly felt and smelled lovely when I got out of the shower. I kept getting a whiff of the fragrance during the day too, so it obviously lingered on my skin. Radox is made by a firm called Sara Lee, a part of H & BC UK Ltd. I still haven't yet found out if it?s the same firm that makes the gateaux, but I do that it might be as the signature on the back of the container does look to be the same one that adorns the front of the gateaux boxes. It does seem an odd mix of products though! The shower gel does carry a warning to avoid getting it in your eyes - if you do wash out immediately with cool, clean water, obvious I know but worth a mention just in case. So, what are you waiting for? Get down to Boots while they're two for the price of one!
