“ Brand: Radox / Texture: Cream / Type: Shower Gel / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Refreshes, destresses „
I love Radox products and this one is no exception, I wouldnt say that its makes your shower anymore relaxing but it makes your skin soft and smells lovely.
This shower gel smells like lavender which is one of my favourite scents in bubble baths and shower gels, it isnt too strong of a smell though, not enough to put you off using it.
I think that because it smells like lavender this product has been named a relaxing product, but unfortunatly lavender and this product doesnt have that effect on me, as nice as it is.
This product lathers up nicely in the shower, but isnt sticky or greasy.
After using this shower gel I found that my skin had nice soft and clean feel to it, I can have very dry skin and though this shower gel doesnt do magic tricks it did improve the dry areas of skin that I sometimes have.
Its not expensive to buy this shower gel at just around £2.50 a bottle its a bargain, compared to some other shower gels that can be much more expensive.
I think that this is a great product for anyone who likes the smell of lavender in their shower, and wants soft skin.
I think over the years I have tried most of the Radox shower gels. Last year I told my husband and sister that I wanted lots of different ones for Christmas so that I was well stocked up - they took me at my word and I ended up with about 25!
As I am a full time carer it is usually easier for me to take a quick shower rather than relaxing in the bath so I do enjoy my nice shower gels.
One of the ones I received in my over the top Christmas stock was the Radox Showerfresh Relax Shower Gel, although how relaxing it was going to be using it in our power shower was anyones guess! The force of the water jets is not really conducive (Im glad I have a spell check but that still doesnt look right to me!) to relaxation.
This one comes in a lavender coloured plastic squeezable container with a hook on the top so that you can hang it up in the shower. It has ridges in the plastic down the sides so that it is easy to grip when your hands are wet and soapy.
Even after all the Radox shower gels that I have tried I remain well impressed by the actual gel dispenser itself. To use the shower gel you have to flip the plastic lid and squeeze the container, the same as you would any other shower gel. The difference with this one is that where the gel actually comes out there is a clear plastic disc covering the opening with a tiny hole in the centre which means that the shower gel does only come out when you give it a squeeze. In turn this also means that if you do happen to drop the container in the shower whilst the lid is open the shower gel wont ooze out and be wasted.
The gel itself is a light, delicate shade of lavender and providing you like the smell of lavender this gel smells divine!
The writing on the container states that it contains a sea minerals and lavender, which is suppose is a bit like carrying coals to Newcastle now I live by the sea!
The idea is that the fragrance of the lavender helps you to relax and regain new energy for body and mind. As I said earlier my shower isnt exactly relaxing but I do find that the smell of lavender does have a calming effect on me and I could certainly smell the gel for some time after I had finished my shower.
It is also PH balanced and has an active skin conditioning formula intended to leave your skin feeling softer and smoother and my skin certainly felt and smelled lovely when I got out of the shower.
Radox is made by Sara Lee, which is a part of H & BC UK Ltd. I have now found out that it is the same firm that makes the gateaux, which I do find a strange mix of products for one firm maybe we should take a slice of gateau into the shower maybe not!!
As with most of these products the shower gel does carry a warning to avoid getting it in your eyes if you do wash out immediately with cool, clean water, obvious I know but worth a mention just in case.
Since this was a present I hadnt a clue how much it had cost but looking in Boots the normal price is around the £2 mark although they are often available as part of a buy one get one free offer so stock up!!
