I consider myself to be a savvy shopper and earlier this year when I spotted the entire range of Radox Bath Soaks reduced to half price on the Boots website, I couldn't resist purchasing half a dozen bottles. I didn't consider which fragrances I was purchasing and simply picked one of each anticipating that they would all be good with this review discussing Sleep Easy.
The 500 ml transparent plastic bottle is considerably appealing to the eye due to its deep blue contents and brightly coloured label, which displays a number of chamomile flowers with their appearance being almost identical to daisies. I always associate the aroma of chamomile with calm and relaxation, so I had high hopes for this bath soak. In addition, Radox has included jasmine, which is a fragrance I adore due to its exotic sweet aroma.
The bottle is easy to hold with one hand, whilst I remove the screw top cap with the other and pour a small amount of the good consistency bath soak into the running bath water. The aroma is simply stunning due to the true likeness of jasmine with the scent of chamomile providing a real sense of relaxation. Exactly as I had anticipated, pure white fluffy bubbles began to form on the water's surface and significantly intensified as the bath began to fill.
I favour powerful fragrances for my bathing products, as I like to witness them in the bathroom, but Sleep Easy wasn't quite intense enough for me despite its extremely favourable scent. Whilst Radox was once considered to be a high quality brand, my use of their products over the last eight months or so, has been quite disappointing, as I feel they've lost some of their abilities. I can recall using their bubble baths not so long ago where my bathroom would fill with the stunning aroma, which added to a relaxing bathing experience. However, almost all of their products fail on this aspect with the fragrance being too delicate.
However, only a small amount of the bath soak was sufficient to create a mountain of fluffy white bubbles, which remained through my entire bath despite me using a bar of Imperial Leather. In fact, I found it quite an effort to rid the bath of the remaining bubbles, so I had to whoosh them down the plug hole with the shower spray switched on at full force.
Sadly, the relaxing aroma did not transfer to my skin, which is a real shame, particularly as it was almost identical to a scent that I occasionally spray on my pillow to promote sleep. I cannot report of any adverse effects whilst using such as dryness or skin irritation. As only a small amount is required for each bath, I found the 500 ml bottle lasted me for two months with taking a bath every evening.
Sleep Easy normally retails at around £2 a bottle, which I feel is over priced for what you actually receive. However, it's well worth keeping an eye out at stores such as Boots, as they are frequently available for half price. If you are looking for a bathing product solely for plenty of bubbles then this is fine, but if you favour a fragrance that lasts for the duration of your bathing experience, then this is not for you. Due to the reasons discussed above, I feel a three star rating to be appropriate.
Like many people, I do love a nice warm bubble-bath before bed: there's something very soothing about it. It's a bit of a cliché to say you can feel your troubles being washed away, but if you're a 'bath person' you'll probably agree that a bubble-bath is a great way to unwind and relax.
Part of the bath experience is the product you use - some people like oils, some favour salts, and some go for bubbles. I do like salts and essential oils added to baths, but my favourite product to use is bath foam. I'm not a brand snob when it comes to toiletries, but I have a preference for better-known makes as I have a (probably ill-conceived) idea that they are somehow less likely to cause skin reactions.
Anyway, Radox, which is my preferred make, is arguably the best-known brand of bubble-bath; indeed, they have been creating bubbles for more 100 years, and now do so as part of the Unilever group.
Radox make many varieties of bath foam, as well as a range of shower products, hand wash and bath salts. The bath soak range includes many permutations, such as Relax, Original, Moisture Soak, Muscle Therapy and Stress Relief, but the one I'm looking at here is Sleep Easy - my personal favourite, containing chamomile and jasmine.
Sleep Easy comes in a transparent bottle containing 500ml of the royal blue-coloured liquid. There are no instructions on the label, but most bath aficionados will know to pour a slug of the product under running water, then froth up with your hand. I use quite a generous amount per bath, which results in an abundance of bubbles. This is just the way I like it, although it's rather extravagant - it's doubtless possible to get more baths out of one bottle than I do! The bubble-ability of this bath soak is excellent, but it's the smell which appeals to me most - I don't know whether it's an authentic chamomile and jasmine scent, but it's absolutely lovely and, just as Radox claims, very soothing.
I usually spend at least 20 minutes soaking, and the bubbles are still going strong when I get out. The fragrance still lingers in the bathroom for quite a while after I've let the water out. Fragrance and bubbles therefore get top marks from me. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that it can be a little drying on the skin if used too often.
As far as I'm concerned, it certainly lives up to Radox's claim to relax and soothe, and I can highly recommend this as a lovely product to help you de-stress and prepare for bed.
Radox bath soaks are generally priced between £1 and £2 for a 500ml bottle, but are regularly on offer for £1 in many shops. They are widely sold in supermarkets and pharmacies.
Thank you for reading!
As part of my trip to Boots recently, another of the bath soaks that I came across as part of a deal was this 'Radox Sleep Easy". Being that my husband and I both enjoy a bath before bedtime, it made sense to me to buy a product that would assist with sleep and would all in all make the evening more relaxing, particularly as we both have quite stressful jobs.
This bath soak is presented in the classic Radox translucent bottle which has the Radox logo imprinted on the sides and is topped with a blue screw top lid. On the front of the bottle is illustrated a handful of flowers being dropped into a pool of water giving an overall effect of calm in my opinion. This bath soak is a rich purple-blue in colour and its ingredients include lavender which is well known for its sleep inducing properties, as well as extracts of jasmine and camomile. Opening the bottle I can immediately smell the lavender which gives the liquid a herbal scent whilst the jasmine is also noticeable giving a floral twist. According to Radox the baht soak has a "feel good" fragrance and I can certainly concur with this statement after my first sniff.
To use this bath soak it is recommended that you simply pour a dollop under pouring water and swish to disperse it throughout the water. I like to give mine a good swish around with my hands as I find that this creates the maximum bubbles which only add to the relaxing nature of my bath time. This bath soak creates a lovely smell as it goes into the water which fills our bathroom with a refreshing floral scent, making it perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Getting into the bath, I find that this bath soak only adds to the other feminine scents in my shower gel leaving my skin feeling sweet and feeling soft. The bubbles have good longevity and easily stand up to the traces of soap in the water. In addition, the scent of lavender is very relaxing and leaves me feeling ready for bed when I get out of the bath. I cannot say whether this bath soak makes me sleep better, as I am normally quote a good sleeper wherever I am, however it definitely leaves me feeling more sleep ready and more relaxed in the evening.
This bath soak is currently available in Boots for just £1 and this makes it a bargain in my opinion. Using a dollop of liquid a day I usually find that a bottle lasts a good couple of weeks making this bath soak very good value for money in my opinion.
I have really enjoyed using this bath soak, particularly in the colder weather and as a result it is highly recommended. This is yet another example of quality from Radox and for that it scores an excellent five stars from me.
I hope this review has been of some help and thanks for reading! x
Forgive me, dear Dooyoovillers, while I use our beloved internet home-away-from-home for a little therapy. We spend all year reading each others' opinions and supporting each others' attempts to earn a little treat now and then in life, so it feels like a good place to do it anonymously and, ultimately I hope, usefully!
I'm not very happy. Mr Rarr has just moved in and I love him to bits and having him home even more. But financially things are not great for my family and commuting to my brilliant job so that I can also keep my beloved Rarr Towers, my first home, is killing me. I keep coming home frustrated at the creature that commuting turns me into, one that is tired, stressed, fed up and basically poised to kill at the most minor of provocations. If you ever hear a news report of a commuter suddenly flipping her top completely and slaying her surrounding bored, tired, stressed suits and putting them all out of their communal misery just because another fat, 50-something heart attack waiting to happen thought he could push a five-foot-not-much girl in front of him towards the perilous edge of a Central Line platform in rush hour as if it will get him anywhere any quicker...that'll be me. And I'll thank them for taking me away in a straight jacket to somewhere padded so I can get some decent sleep.
This has been preying on my mind for a while and I'm not evolving quickly enough to cope with it any better. Short of stuffing myself to the point of rattling with Kalms tablets, it is getting me down, as well as wound up, in a major way, and I felt horrible last night coming home and ending up snapping at my poor gorgeous, wonderful other half.
So this morning I did something that I have not allowed myself the time to do for over a year, or maybe more, because I genuinely can't remember doing something that I used to enjoy treating myself to. A pampering session.
I had a word with myself and remembered that while I do have a thousand things to do, a dozen people to keep happy, three work emails I really should send even though I'm off, the turkey carcass from Christmas to turn to stock, the brilliant slow-cooked meal to prepare, the house to clean, the outbuilding to sort out and a million things to put on ebay so that Mr Rarr has some closet space, I am actually not just a means to please everyone else and put on a front of a perfect life but in fact a girl. I deserve some me time. I deserve to not feel like a failure for taking time out for myself, and to not feel murderous every second my eyes are open. I took some pampering time.
Bubbles. Scented yankee tealight. Wine. Music. Face mask. The works. It was bliss, and for a while it took me time to adjust to Doing Nothing. Then, suddenly, about twenty minutes in, I felt an almost physical change in me. I realised, in complete awe, that I had actually relaxed. Genuinely, physically and mentally, chilled the hell out. It goes to show how tightly wound you are when you realise that when you've been telling yourself that you're relaxing for the last year or so you were in fact kidding yourself.
Now you may think it was the wine. You may think the Yankee candle tealight in Bahama Breeze did it. But I am in fact attributing the truly relaxing element of my home spa to one of the cheapest products that I used to create it - Radox Sleep Easy.
If you've not heard of Radox you must have lived under a rock for about thirty years. They produce a wide range of bath and shower products but to me the strongest memory of them from childhood is their bubble baths. To be honest they haven't changed that much in terms of packaging from my early teens, they are still to be found in a slightly angular upright bottle with a screw top. Various mixes of scents are available but they produce familiar favourites such as Sleep Easy and Muscle Relax which seem to have been around forever.
Sleep Easy is a deep blue colour in the clear plastic and as with most - if not all - bubble bath products you have to pour it under hot running water to froth up the foam. Instantly the scent filled the bathroom and although I found the foaming to be generous I did notice it became "dry" quickly - not a smooth, frothy white bubbly hug waiting to happen but a husky-looking high peak of bubbles that were cracking already. That said, the bubbles were welcoming when I got in the bath and did not fade away quickly but instead were still there to a healthy degree when I finally admitted the facemask was dry and the water was merely luke warm, so got into the shower to wash my hair and sweep away the face mask.
Radox claim that "if you've had a long day, a soak in a warm bath is just the thing for a good night's sleep. The natural chamomile and calming smell of jasmine will help you relax so you feel soothed".
Pricewise, this is often to be found on offer. Currently Tesco have it half price at 95p - bargain - and Waitrose has it at full-price £1.90, although Asda have it at £1, and are not advertising this as a special offer. So shop around.
I normally don't use bubble bath as I hate the drying effect it has on my skin. However, for some reason I was determined that my "me time" would have bubbles, so the only bottle in the house, Sleep Easy, was used at 1pm in the afternoon - with wine! It's probably no surprise that it finally broke through my tension and chilled me out.
I hadn't used this product in years. God knows when the bottle of it, unopened until the other night when Mr Rarr was banished upstairs so I could wrap presents for him for Christmas day, was bought. But I am so glad I used it.
The scent is both subtle and notable - not overbearing, but definitely present. I am not overly familiar with the scents of either chamomile or jasmine but combined in this they are a beautifully welcome, enveloping scent and I can still smell it lightly on my skin now despite having an additional few minutes in the shower after my bath.
The bubbles were smooth and not crackling loudly at all. The entire bath was a lovely experience and as I chilled out with Nigel Slater (in book form - stop sniggering at the back!) for an hour I remembered what it was like to be truly chilled out.
At the price I have to say I consider it a bargain. I suspect that one of the reasons that the packaging of these bath products hasn't changed it that it doesn't need to - the clear plastic shows off the beautiful jewel colours of them and they look nice in a bathroom.
I did moisturise after using this product as I am always worried about such bath additions drying the skin, although I must say that I didn't feel that my skin was overly punished by it. I did notice that it drank in my Body Shop Body Butter slightly more thirstily than normal but I certainly didn't feel any tight skin from it.
Widely available for £1 a bottle, a thick, effective product that will last well, and genuinely capable of living up to its claim of being massively relaxing to help sleep? Well as I am now typing this on the sofa having declared that all of the million things I need to do today can go hang, I can only vouch for the effectiveness of this product. I didn't expect to be this impressed and have to say that I am surprised at how good this actually is. Another reason, maybe, that it hasn't changed since a time before which my misty mind can recall - it actually, really, damn well works!
Over the past few months as I have been having Baths more lately (I do shower too!) I have been buying & trying many different brands of Bubble Bath just to see what the end result will be. Normally I don't scrimp on Bubble Bath as I pour a fair bit into the bath & I do like a really bubble bath so yes I don't splash out on Bubble Bath but actually just buy the cheap own brand one. Most of the time I just buy Wilko's own which is in many different varieties priced from the bottom range being 72p & the top range being £1 respectively! I find Wilko's own does as good a job as Radox & they smell really nice too. However Wilko do regular offers on Branded Products aswell as their on range but yesterday attracting my eye was a bright yellow sign that said that Radox Bubble Bath was an incredible 90p (normal price £1.90) for a 500ml bottle. It took a while browsing all of the different fragrances that inhabiated the shelf & finally chose the Sleep Easy variety.
WHAT IS RADOX?
Radox is a company who produces Bath Foams, Shower Gels & Handwashes in many different fragrances for the public to buy. Radox is made by Sara Lee who even make Sanex too! Radox have been around for 104 years so they know how to make a bubble bath inviting!
Many Products I have tried from their range I have been very pleased with including their 2in1 Shower Gel, Vapour Therapy Bath Salts & African Savanha Hand Wash. They always seem to be coming up with new fragrances but I don't very often buy Radox products as they are quite expensive!
Radox Sleep Easy Bubble Bath comes in a clear bottle with a nice purple screw lid that is easy to twist on & off. 500ml of Bubble Bath comes in the bottle & the bottle is easy to grip. The stickers have all the imformation needed to contact them & about the product. The bottle is recycable.
This is what Radox say about Sleep Easy:
We've selected & combined natural ingredients with our feel good fragrance to create this soothing blend. Your sleep easy bath soak, with Chamomile & Jasmine ill leave you feeling soothed.
Radox, we know what works!
So they are pretty confident that you will be soothed by using this bubble bath & I will say, I felt soothed last night!
I ran the bath water & opened the bottle of Radox & took a deep whiff. Phew! I was nearly blown away! You could really smell the Chamomile in this! The best way to describe it actually, is it smells like _Ben Shaw's Dandelion & Burdock_ really! I could guarantee you would say the same! When I pour my buuble bath in I pour it with the running water so it dilutes straight away & it wasn't long before the blue bubble bath created a lovely blanket of bubbles above the water! What's weird is that in the bottle the liquid is purple but in reality it's actually navy blue!
Getting into the bath & using the sponge to wash myself down I could feel the lovely white bubbles softening my skin & cleaning it. My skin never tightened up or felt uncomfortable & overall it was a lovely bath experience! I did top up the water one time because the relaxation was lovely & I didn't want it to end!
When my skin was dry it had felt like I had just plastered myself in moisturiser or something but obviously it only felt like this because I had'nt used Radox much before so maybe if I used it more I would get the effect. Also another thing is that you only need about 2 tablespoons to get lots of bubbles so that is why Radox charge a fair bit really as it lasts so long!
Overall this is an excellent bubble bath with bubbles that lasts so much longer than bog standard bubble bath but despite this I wouldnt convert but from time to time this little piece of luxury would definately be a necessity!
THANKS FOR READING!
(ORIGINALLY POSTED ON CIAO)
I love to having a lovely warm bath at the end of the day, especially when the weather has been as horrible as it is today. Adding bubbles into the equation just makes the whole thing even nice and more relaxing. I am a big fan of Radox bubble baths and the latest one that I have tried is the Sleep Easy Bath Therapy.
In the collection, you should be able to find one that suits your needs. You can purchase either Brazilian Fusion or Eastern Spirit. You could purchase a bottle that comes with the promise of distressing you, one to help soothe tired muscles and one to help nourish the skin.
What does the product do?
According to the front of the bottle, this product will help you to drift off in a bath of jasmine and chamomile. I'm assuming that it doesn't literally mean that because it's never a good idea to fall asleep in the bath! The product is for use after a long day and it promises to get you ready for a good nights sleep. Using the calming scents of Jasmine and Chamomile, it claims to make you drift off to sleep.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be used in the same way as you would use any other bubble bath. It should be poured generously under warm running water. Obviously because of the nature of the product, it should be used at bedtime because it hardly going to get you awake and alert in the mornings.
Packaging and Price
The product is contained within a see through plastic bottle and you can see the dark blue product inside. It has some pictures of flowers on the front and lines to show the aromas coming off the plants. There is some basic information on the back of the bottle about the product and the bottle has a dark blue screw top lid. The product will cost you around £2.50 for 500ml. It can be bought from most department stores, supermarkets and from a few online websites.
The product has a really faint aroma which I was surprised about because this product is supposed to work because of its fragrance. It is light, slightly sweet and floral with the smallest scent of musk. It is a relaxing aroma and it does make you feel sleepy but you need to breathe in deeply to get any hint of it from the bottle. Somehow, once the product is in the water, the aroma seems to develop and it is much more evident.
The product makes lovely delicate bubbles that cover the water but not in an overwhelming way so the experience is just as relaxing as promises. The bubbles are long lasting and there are still some left when I leave the bath. The product doesn't irritate my skin or make me feel uncomfortable, and the product leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean. The fragrance does get you feeling relaxed and ready for bed. I frequently use this product as bedtime if I've had a particularly busy day and I know I'm going to need a bit of help relaxing.
All in all, this product has a relaxing aroma that allows you to unwind at the end of a busy day. It calms the minds, cleanses the skin and surrounds you with lots of lovely bubbles. I fully intend to buy all of the Bath Therapy products because they are really good.
=== Radox Sleep Easy Herbal Bath ===
As we all probably are aware, Radox has many bubble baths and shower gels in it's brand aswell as deodoants. They are part of the Unilever brand who bought Radox from Sara Lee in 2009.
I like much of the range of products and very often buy the relaxing bath salts. Whilst in Asda I was looking at the bubble baths and came across this.
My husband is a huge fan of anything that will help him relax in the evening as he has difficulty in sleeping, so I bought it. It was on offer at the time for just £1.
It isn't a medicine based product and therefore does not contain any form of sleeping medication it is simply blended wih the right herbs to relax you and allow you to unwind.
It contains chamomile and jasmine oil.
=== Does it work? ===
Me ~ I don't really have much trouble in drifting off to sleep but it is nice to have a relaxing bath in the night. As I was running the bath I poured a generous amount of the bubble bath into the stream of hot water, this released the scent which travelled right around the bathroom. The bubbles went a bit crazy and I guessed I had more than likely added way to much!
Through the long plastic bottle you can clearly see the deep blue gel like liquid and you would expect your bath water to end up quite a deep, dark shade of blue but alas the water colour barely changes but the scent is fantastic.
After adding a bit of cold water to the bath, I jumped into the sea of bubbles.
As I lay back and relaxed with a book I did feel calm and de-stressed. I lay there for a good 45 minutes before getting out as I was starting to resemble a prune!
The scent lingered on my body for a while before completely disapearing. I then felt fresh, clean and relaxed in my PJ's!
It did relax me and help me unwind, my four boy's drive me to distraction at times but this does work in melting away all of lives little stresses!
Hubby ~ I ran my hubby a bath... Well someone's got to! And again I added a generous dollop of this into the running water but this time being more careful as to not fill the bathroom full of bubbles. I gave him a shout when it was ready and left him to it.... You didn't expect me to wash him too did you??? Lol!
He said he felt more relaxed and he actually fell asleep on the sofa whilst watching TV. So it worked for him!
I like Radox products in general anyway and this has been a regular product in our bathroom ever since.
Although I much prefer a nice hot shower to a long soak in the bath, the mood does sometimes grab me. If I do have a bath, which isn't very often, it has to be an extremely long one full of relaxation and peace and quiet. To achieve this, I always have to have lots of candles and some fantastic bubble bath. Radox do a great range of bubble baths and one of my favourites is the Sleep Easy variety. After getting myself completely relaxed in the bath, I do tend to fall asleep for a while so this is the perfect product to him me drift off to sleep.
== Price and Availability ==
As a regular Asda shopper, this is where I usually buy any bath/ shower products. At the time of writing this review, a 500ml bottle of this product will cost you only £1.63 from the Asda website. The price may be a little different in store. For a bottle this big, I think the price is really good value and I would rather pay that little bit more compared to buying a supermarket own brand bubble bath. Radox bath products are also available in all major supermarkets and other stores that sell health and beauty products e.g. Boots or Superdrug.
== Packaging ==
The Sleep Easy Bath Therapy comes in a clear, plastic bottle. The colour of the bubble bath itself is a royal blue and the lid for the bottle is a very close match. On the front of the bottle is a picture of flowers which gives the impression that this is what the bubble bath will smell like. It also states that the product includes Jasmine and Chamomile which are the ingredients which will help towards being able to sleep. While the bottle isn't overly attractive, it does its purpose well and informs me of what kind of product I am about to use.
== Using the product ==
Upon taking off the lid, the smell of this product hit me immediately and that is no bad thing. The Jasmine and Chamomile smelt very sweet but it also had a calm and relaxing smell to it as well, making me quite excited to pour this in the water. I slowly poured the royal blue liquid under the hot, running water and was a little bit surprised at what happened. Even though the liquid is blue, I wasn't quite expecting for it to turn the bath water blue at the same time. The bubbles began to appear very quickly and there were a fair amount of them. Some cheaper bubble baths can only produce minimal bubbles but this is not the case with Radox. My bath was soon full of bubbles and I couldn't wait to get in it.
Once I was in the bath, I felt relaxed very quickly. The lovely smell helped to chill me out but I also loved the mass of bubbles just as much. As I lay there, not really thinking about much, I could feel my eyes getting heavier after only 10 minutes or so. I was quite tired beforehand but I loved how quickly this product made me even more sleepy. After nodding off for a little while, I woke up feeling totally relaxed and reenergised. I think I can put some of this down to the bubble bath as well as sneaking in a little nap.

To have the ultimate relaxing bath you need the ultimate bubble bath. And Radox sleep easy bath therapy in jasmine and chamomile is enough to knock a boxer out!
A BIT ABOUT RADOX
Radox is a company that specialise in bath and shower products for both men and women. Using natural and herbal ingredients in their products they have created a range which caters to all of your bathing needs.
The 500ml bottle is made form plastic so can be recycled and it is think so can easily be stored in your bathroom. The screw top lid makes the packaging waterproof so nothing can get in or out. This helps to avoid any spillages or accidents. You don't want to be wasting a great product like this!
The bubble bath itself has a few drops of jasmine oil and natural chamomile oil in which will help you relax. Jasmine is said to help you to drift off so this is the perfect accompaniment to your bed time bath. Even just smelling the product from the bottle makes me want to sleep, it is just so relaxing.
I find that you do not need to use a lot of this in your bath as it is quite effective. I use 4 lid fulls which fills the whole bath with bubbles. So if you are not a bubble fanatic like me I would recommend using 3 lid fulls. As you do not need to use a lot of this I would estimate that you could get at least 15 baths from 1 bottle.
What I particularly like about this bubble bath is how long the bubbles will last. With some bubble baths the bubbles will dissolve but sleep therapy by Radox will last the entire duration allowing you to have a nice long soak.
When you are in the bath you will not be disappointed. It's a strange feeling like you are actually melting into the bath, it is incredible relaxing.
When bath time is over and you are ready for bed the smell of the bubble bath stays on your skin to help you have the perfect sleep. Not only that but it will also leave your skin feeling so soft.
I purchased this product in particular because it was on offer in Boots costing £1. Usually it is priced at £1.60. This is still cheap for luxury bubble bath.
WHERE TO BUY
As Radox is such a huge brand you can expect to see their products in many stores. Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury, Boots, Superdrug, these just to name a few.
This is the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day and is a very good price for a bit of luxury. I would rate this product a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be purchasing it again even at its original price of £1.60 it is a bargain. You can't put a price on a good nights sleep!
==Also on ciao==
I am a huge bath fan, which you might have guessed from my other reviews, and any situation I will have a bath! I find them so relaxing and after having some problems with my joints, I have been having baths more and more often, and recently came across a huge range of Radox products. I had previously tried the Muscle Relaxant version, so I thought I would give Sleep Easy version a try. I expected the product to be nice smelling, relaxing and soothing, and might even mean I'll get a better night's sleep!
The packaging is a see through 400ml bottle, with a blue cap, which matches the gorgeous blue colour of the Sleep Easy liquid, and if I'm honest the bottle did appeal to me and defiantly encouraged me to want to buy the product. Radox claims that the product will "help you wind down" and "it is proven to relax you". Which is exactly what you'd want from the product.
To use the product, you only need to put a couple of drops of the Sleep Easy liquid, because I made the mistake of putting to much in, and I was swamped in bubbles! I use the lid myself, and fill half of it, as it seems to get a decent amount of bubbles.
The Jasmine smell really does have relaxing and calming properties, and relaxed the whole of my body, which is different from other products I've tried, as I felt completely relaxed but because the gorgeous smells went all around the bathroom, it enhanced the relaxed feelings. The smell is quite strong, so some people might not enjoy it, but for people who love flowery Jasmine smells, this is the product for you.
After using Radox's Sleep Easy, I felt totally relaxed and it had soothe my pain in my joints, which was really amazing. Also it did effect my sleep, as I used it before I went to bed, and I slept so easily that night without breaks, which was amazing and I woke up so awake. I completely recommend Sleep Easy to anyone, even if there are no sleep problems, just relaxing and calming.
Radox Sleep Easy is available at supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug and other pharmacists and cost around £1-2.
I love Radox bath products and this one is no exception.
I always try different radox bubble baths and usually pay about £1 for one. I usually use sleep easy herbal bath before bed and it definately makes me feel more relaxed.
The packaging of the bottle is very simple and eye catching as it is a lovely deep blue colour and really stands out which is why I bought it.
One of the best things about it is that when I poured it into my bath it instantly transformed into loads of bubbles. I think it is a very good value for money bubble bath as you don't need to use a lot because it lasts quite a while.
I also liked the fact that as with other radox bubble baths the bubbles seem to last for a lot longer than other cheaper bubble baths. I still found there to be lots of bubbles after using shampoo and conditioner.
The smell of this is lovely it is a nice flowery smell but not overpowering but rather a soft dreamy fragrance so it is very relaxing and does make me feel sleepy.
I think this product definately does what it says and helps you to sleep easy.
Of late I haven't been sleeping very well at all. Take now I'm sat here writing this review and it is a quarter to two in the morning! This is one of the many reasons I purchased this the other day whilst in Boots. The main pull being that these were on offer for a pound a bottle, the other being that I got a few bottles for free from the points on my advantage card, the other that these are from a brand I know and trust and actually the last reason was because this was meant to aid sleep! Now I say that was the last reason I got it and it is but only because I have tried alot of sleep aid products over the past few years and none have really helped me but like I say for a pound I thought it was very worth a try at least!
The bath soak comes in a 400ml long, oblong see-through plastic bottle and it has dark blue plastic twist on/off cap to the top of it with the word Radox embossed into the sides of it. On the front of the bottle I am clearly told that it is Radox Sleep Easy Bath Therapy 'Drift off, in a bath of jasmine & chamomile', there is a picture of flowers on there and I am told that Radox have been blending natural herbs since 1908. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients are listed, the size is stated (as I've told you already) and contact details for H & BC UK Ltd are given. It's a simple looking but informative looking bottle that looks functional and effective rather than pretty and it is unisex in its appearance in my humble opinion!
A Bit About The Product According To The Information Given On The Back Of The Bottle:
If you've had one of those days, a nice, long soak in a warm herbal bath is just the thing to help you get ready for a good night's sleep. The natural chamomile will help you relax and wind down, while the calming smell of jasmine will help you drift off.
A bath with Radox Sleep Easy is proven to relax you.
What's Gone Into It?:
100 years of Radox know-how
A few drops of jasmine oil
Some natural chamomile
A perfect pH balance
A thumbs-up from the skin experts
All you need to use of this is a little of the dark blue and transparent thin looking bath foam/soak. It evaporates into the water giving off no colour but just a few white bubbles that last over an hour while your bathing. It gives off an absolutely gorgeous scent this does! I expected a really pungent smell but this is quite simply pretty and rather feminine. To me its a floral smell which of course is the jasmine within it though it isn't as sweet as what I'm used to that scent being and smells really natural and not too strong but it is very much there sort of thing and I love it!
This makes the skin soft in a none oily/greasy way and like I say the bubbles you create before getting in the tub do stay put for ages.
However the main benefit of this for me is it really does make me feel really relaxed. The softness of the water, the delightful smell really does beat off the blues and my worries disappear fast! I kid you not I just think this is wonderful!
It really does aid sleep too. Don't get me wrong if you were to use this at any time of day and then go out and need to function normally you can do so and it will simply relax you and not put you to sleep or anything extraordinary like that, however I find that once I'm relaxed and go to bed I am more able to sleep of course cos I've wound down!
Not only that after using this my body feels slightly softened and hydrated, I feel as fresh as a daisy and the smell lingers delicately on my skin for a few good hours giving me a really nice cosy feeling in my skin!
I'm off to have a soak in this now! Brilliant all round product that really does work from them fabulous people at Radox! Well done guys and many thanks!
Available in all good chemists and supermarkets etc and if not on offer expect to pay about £1.60 a bottle (you don't need much per bath so this lasts ages!).

This is another Radox Bubble Bath that we've just ended up trying/ I personally don't usually have any problems getting to sleep, but the wife often struggles. Then again she doesn't have a bath that often as she is always doing so much stuff that it's always a nip in the shower, so not sure why she wanted to try this, as chances are I will use it all myself.
The Radox range in Asda is on offer again for £1 a bottle, whereas they normally cost around anything up to £2.
These come in a 500ml bottle. The plastic is clear and the Bath gel looks a nice blue colour. It is like the Dooyoo picture. There is writing on the front and back and this looks ok.
I would say a bottle does me about 10 times. This makes a good amount of Bubbles in a bath. The Gel is quite thick and when added under running water it produces lots of delicate and larger Bubbles.
This smelt ok. It smelt more a Lavender scent, but there was some of that in here for to aid sleep. It smelt pretty herbal, but Radox has that scent.
This made a nice relaxing Bath and i would buy it again. Did it help me sleep? I don't think so, but it would be hard to tell with me. I did feel nice and rested after the bath through.
A good product at often a great price.
Radox is a beauty company under the Sara Lee brand. They produce bubble baths, shower gels, handwashes and deodorant products.
Sleep Easy is one of the many bubble baths produced by Radox. It is part of the Bath Therapy range where there are 9 bubble baths to choose from.
This particular bubble bath is made up of jasmine and chamomile. The Sleep Easy bubble baths are not made to put you to sleep (they don't contain sleeping tablets) but are made to help you relax and prepare for sleep.
The chamomile is there to help you unwind and relax. The jasmine is there to provide a calming smell to help you drift off to sleep.
Radox say that a few drops of jasmine oil, some natural chamomile, a perfect pH balance and 100 years of Radox know-how have been used to form this bubble bath. It has also been approved by skin experts.
The Radox bubble baths all come in tall plastic bottles which are rectangular but with a curved head and base. The bottle is see through and has Radox raised along the sides. There is a blue screw off cap.
There is a transparent label on the front of the bottle with the Radox logo and product name. There is also a pretty flower image.
The back of the bottles has another transparent label with some information about the bubble bath and the ingredients.
The bottle can be recycled once empty though the cap cannot. Once opened, you are expected to use the bottle within 12months.
*The Bubble Bath*
Looking inside the bottle, you can see a very dark and almost midnight blue liquid. It has a runny consistency but still looks thick if that makes sense. You can see little white and clear bubbles floating around the bottle.
Using this is extremely straight forward. Once you start running your hot water, pour a small amount under your tap. Add more if you wish more bubbles.

*Availability and Price*
Radox Sleep Easy can be found along the bubble bath aisle in supermarkets and chemists. Wilkinsons also stock this. The normal retail price is around £1.60 for a 500ml bottle though if you look around you will normally find it on offer at £1 which is a bargain!
Yes we have been having somewhat of a heatwave this week but I was stuck in the house for most of it with a stinking cold and no voice. An old back injury was also playing up and I was stressed and exhausted.
Normally I buy Radox for my auntie and for my Mum but when I spotted the range on offer in Wilkos a few weeks ago, I picked myself up the Sleep Easy one. The other day, I remembered it being in the overfilled toiletrie cupboard and pleaded with hubby to run me a nice bath. Usually a bath for me entails a semi cold 5min in and out job in the mornings but I wanted to relax.
Now I will start by saying, really don't go overboard with pouring this stuff into your bath! It is rather rich and concentrated as we discovered when I went in to the bathroom and seen a mountain of bubbles going up my walls. It was then I noticed that hubby being the numpty that he is, had used 1/4 of my bottle which is 125ml of bubble bath! We did have a little foam flicking contest though so that was worth it!
The next time I used this, I ran my own bath as hubby and the wee one went out for the day. I started running my hot water and opened this gorgeous looking bottle. You certainly wouldn't be ashamed to have this sitting in your bathroom. Out wafted a gorgeous sweet aroma. It was quite strong and I feel the jasmine was coming through and the chamomile was calming it down so it wasn't too floral. It was just right.
I poured 2 capfuls (the caps are small) under my water and it instantly started to produce some gorgeous bubbles. The bubble bath was quite runny but almost like a gel and was an intense blue. Once I had my nice hot bubble bath ready, I jumped in and relaxing with a magazine.
I am not used to such a hot bath but this felt extremely relaxing and the bubbles were a plenty without smothering me in them. They were delicately scented and the water felt soft and luxurious. Once I had relaxed for around 30mins I started to feel prune like and had a wash and jumped out. The water ran away nicely without leaving any residue on the bath.
My skin felt smooth and clean and the bubble bath left a sort of sweet but floral scent on my skin which lasted for a good few hours. With the house still to myself, I lay down on the sofa with my nice clean pjs on an nodded off.
I do feel the jasmine and chamomile did help me relax and nod off. I now intend to have my daily baths in the morning with my beloved Soap and Glory shower wash and reserve this beautiful bubble bath for perhaps a Saturday evening when I can simply relax. I feel it helps to let my mind go blank for a wee while which is a godsend sometimes.
At £1 on offer this is a bargain as it does go along way. It also makes the perfect gift. I am on a budget and usually buy a bottle of Radox and some sweets for my auntie for Christmas as I know she loves this. My Mum reguarly likes to relax in a bath so when I spot this on offer, I treat her to a bottle and she is always thankful.
I highly recommend this bubble bath :)
