Radox Stress Relief Herbal Bath
Advantages: Blend of Rosemary and Eucalyptus is amazing.
Disadvantages: Bottle is quite small.
This is the second Radox bath product I've bought recently and I purchased this one after using the Muscle Therapy Bath Soak and enjoying my experiences with the product. I was also attracted to this product because it was half price at 95p (usually £1.90) at my local supermarket.
I have an anxiety disorder so products that use aromatherapy for relaxation are perfect for calming me down and settling nerves at the beginning or end of the day. This product promises to promote stress relief by lulling your raging senses with a blend of rosemary and eucalyptus. Radox call this a "feel good fragrance" and claim the scent will leave you "calm and revitalised". Radox are proud to call themselves "experts in blending" - meaning the herbs and oils they choose and the quanities they mix them is something they have perfected.
The Bath Soak comes in a 500ml sized bottle. This is recyclable and the top is quite small so not much packaging is wasted. The liquid is bright turquoise and there is a label on the front of the bottle showing sprigs of rosemary and eucalyptus leaves being thrown into swirling water. The packaging design is very impressive and this gives me the impression that this brand is thoughtful and trustable.
The label on the back of the bottle provides a list of ingredients as well as contact information for the Unilever brand who manufacture this. There is also a little piece written about the Bath Soak which states that Radox like to use "natural ingredients".
To use this product you should pour it into your bath as you fill it up with hot water. I find I need to use less of this for an effect compared to the Radox Muscle Therapy bath soak. It creates a slightly foamy surface and tints the water a green-blue shade but not radically. If you are after a foaming bubble bath I would say this isn't the product to go for. The strengths in this product are in the aroma rather than the bubble bath effect.
The fragrance of the bath soak is wonderful. It's fresh, clean, herbal and natural. It makes me feel like I'm outdoors as there is such a keen smell of vegetation. Eucalyptus is quite often used in cold medicines now to clear your airways and this has a similar effect. It makes you feel like you are healthy and that you can breathe deeply. It's not as strong though as something like Olbas Bath Soak. The rosemary ingredient cuts through that eucalyptus and makes you feel relaxed and free. It definitely does what it claims to do and helps to relieve stress, tension and nervousness.
I really enjoy baths using this bath soak and love to just lie in the water with the stream rising around me and just to breathe the fragrances in as they float around me. The bath soak does create a silky bubble top on the bath water surface and this also feels quite nice to splash around in. I haven't noticed any skin softening qualities but my skin smells great afterwards and leaves me feeling particularly fresh as I'm getting dried.
I would definitely recommend this. I've been using a lot of cheaper bath products lately but using this Radox product has shown me that paying just a little bit more guarantees that you get a great experience. This is great for a relaxing bath at any time of the day.
Summary: Wonderful product to use if you want a relaxing bath.
