Advantages: Smells beautiful and very reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None for me
I love experimenting with new brands of products and if I see something that is new and most importantly, reasonably priced I simply have to buy it. One of my latest purchases is Sainsbury's Shower Crème Pure Calm, which I purchased approximately six weeks ago for just 55p.
The shower crème is contained within a 250ml curved opaque plastic bottle, which allows you to see the creamy white contents. The appearance of the product is considerably minimalist where you will find the familiar Sainsbury's logo in small lettering and underneath in larger letters is the wording Shower Crème. On the lower section are the words pure crème written in light blue. On the rear label we are informed that the Pure Calm Shower Crème "has been specially formulated with an added moisturiser, which helps cleanse and hydrate your skin whilst you shower".
The crème is easily dispensed via the easy to open flip top lid and is a fairly good consistency. When I initially purchased this product I really did not know what to expect from its' fragrance, which I later discovered contains a beautiful subtle floral aroma. I believe that Sainsbury's have chosen the perfect name for this product, as both its' appearance and scent are relaxing, tranquil and calming.
I find I need only a very small amount of the soft luxurious crème on my net body polisher to create a fluffy plentiful lather, which is always sufficient for my entire shower. I was pleasantly surprised that a shop's own brand product was so efficient and effective and always removes all traces of dirt and grime. The crème feels so soft and gentle on my skin and is easily rinsed under the showerhead.
I absolutely love using products that leave a lingering fragrance on my skin and each time I use this I genuinely feel that I am using an extremely superior brand of shower crème and not one belonging to Sainsbury's. I am pleased to advise that I have never experienced any adverse reactions when using the product and whilst I cannot advise if this crème is moisturising, particularly as I always apply lotions and creams after bathing and showering, I feel it is totally caring towards my delicate skin.
What I like about this product is that a little most definitely goes a long way. I'm not one to use the same toiletries day in, day out and prefer to alternate, as otherwise I feel my senses get used to one particular fragrance.
There is a long list of ingredients on the rear label and due to there being so many I do not intend to list them in this review. As with all products of this nature care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes and if this occurs you should immediately rinse with cold water.
Whilst this is never an issue for me, particularly as I'm pretty speedy in using my beauty products, once opened the crème should be used within 24 months and the bottle can be recycled once empty. I was pleased to learn that Sainsbury's are against animal testing, so you have the assurance that no animals were harmed in the making of this gorgeous shower crème.
Whilst I am sure you will be extremely happy with this product, Sainsbury's offer a money back guarantee if you are not. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it's price tag of only 55p for a 250ml bottle is simply superb, particularly as its' contents resemble that of something really expensive. Consequently, Sainsbury's Shower Crème Pure Calm receives a full 5 out of 5 stars from me.
I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
