“ Brand: Sanctuary / Treatments / Type: Night Cream „
I am very much a fan of sanctuary products, i absolutley love the smell of them and they always leave my skin feeling really silky smooth and nice. So when I brought this overnight pampering box I could wait to try it out. So I started out with the foaming bath soak and found that it really does give lots of bubbles to your bath and it feels very relaxing when getting into the bath. I then went on to use the creamy body wash, to start off with I must say that the smell it soo nice it really does make you feel that you have trully pampered yourself. This body wash gave a nice foamy texture and I found that I didnt need much to cover myself head to toes in the stuff making me feel very relaxed. After the bath I always use mosturiser and I certainly was not disappoined in the one, once again the smell was lovely and it made my skin feel very smooth and gave it in my opinion a kind of glow. I would recommend anyone who wants to truly pamper themselves to try the sanctuary products they are great for the skin and will leave you feeling lovely and refreshed.
To be honest I always thought Sanctuary stuff was for the, how shall I put it, older generation. I am pleased to eat humble pie and say it definately is not. I was given this set for Xmas and at that point being 6 months pregnant was very into lotions and potions to try and combat pregnancy skin. I ended up loving it so much I bought another set and took it with me into hospital in my labour bag! (I also ended up getting the hand cream and spray thats how much I loved it!) I don't know what it is about the smell but it draws me in and I have found it stays with you for quite a while as well. The scrub is especially good as has little balls of jojoba which really do burst once you start rubbing it in and the smell hits you even more. Definately worth a try as a gift for yourself or any female member of the family. The box is quite posh as well and can be reused (I keep hair brushes in it) or you could recycle and use as a gift box. Also Boots quite often do deals on Sanctuary stuff so you can try these out and then stock up on the ones you like.
This year at work I suggested a Secret Santa scheme, so that we'd all buy a small gift for one colleague and avoid the embarrassment of not knowing who to buy for and being surprised by last minute gifts from people you didn't get anything for - and all those other office minefields! I think this is a nice idea and adds another dimension to the Christmas meal. The one reservation I have about the whole Secret Santa idea is that a lot of people seem to feel obliged to buy a hilllarrrrious novelty gift - so being as I am a fairly bossy sort of person I made it clear that I didn't want a joke present! (Don't even get me started on Christmas ties and fish that sing.... ughhhh.) Anyway, I still don't know who bought for me this lovely Sanctuary Set for me, but thank you very much whoever it was! The Secret Santa gift amount had been set at £5, and this set cost about £10 before Christmas in Boots, however, it was available within the Buy 2 Get 1 Free range, so I think perhaps someone was a little creative there and decided it was £5 worth! It was such a lovely present that I felt a bit guilty for being slightly baa humbug about novelty gifts - but hey, I got this, and someone else got a toy weasel that chases a ball - and I know which I'd prefer! (To be fair, the weasel was very much appreciated by the person in question!) The Sanctuary Overnight Pampering Box looks just like the picture above, being a sturdy and very pretty cardboard box with a lid. This is definitely reusable and I intend to keep it in the bathroom to tidy bits and pieces once all the original products are used up. The box itself is about 19cm tall. Inside are 5 smallish bottles, each containing 75ml, as follows: Body Wash Foaming Bath Soak Body Scrub Body Lotion Creamy Body Wash I think these products are fairly self explanatory, being 2 shower gel/creams, a bubble bath, a moisuriser and an exfoliating wash. This is a comprehensive collection and far too much to use in an Overnight Pampering Session! The label on the box suggests use of the products to create your own Spa experience, and there is plenty of product here for lots of luxurious baths and showers, so it appears to be very good value. I have never used Sanctuary products before and I have to say I was very impressed with this box set. The packaging is lovely, and best of all is the scent! First I thought they were all the same scent but there are subtle differences, whilst they all compliment each other perfectly. The body scrub contains patchouli and orange oil, whereas the moisturiser is fragranced with jojoba and ginger, the body wash also contains sandalwood and almond oil. All lovely ingredients, and they combine to make a really gorgeous scent. I would describe it as a grown up smell, warm and well blended. The effect is very relaxing - and pampering! I have no complaints at all about this Box, the products are all lovely, and they made a very welcome gift! I'm particularly impressed with the packaging, which as well as being very attractive is also compact and easy to wrap for a gift, and has the additional benefit of being reusable - who'd want to throw it away? I'd recommend this as a fairly inexpensive gift which is very luxurious. Especially good if you can get it on offer - there may be some still left in Boots at half price in their January sale!
