Sanctuary Salt Scrub
Ok so i am now a santuary addict as my bathroom quickly fills up with lotions and potions from this range. I have read alot of hype about this particualr product and how well it exfoliates the skin, So I decided to take up an offer thats currently on at boots and buy it.
if you spend £10 or more on sanctuary products you will recieve a mini me time spa pack.
Ok so this is a 650g of salt scrub and it comes in a glass jar with a metal clasp that you pull down and it secures it, there is a rubber ring bit inside of the jar when you close it so to keep the products from spilling out and to keep them fresh. In my opinion this is a lovely looking jar that will look great in any bathroom as although once again its quite simple Its really appealing.
You can see the salt scrub inside as the jar is glass and I would describe this as an off white colour.
On the top of the jar it has the normal santuary logo and the word santuary.
Salt scrub: To pamper, polish and nourish your skin with exfoliating dead sea salts and nourishing jojoba oil.
Well first impressions are great because by the sound of that I really am going to get a spa treatment at home :-) this is what they generally claim for the products.
On the bottom of this jar it tells you the list of ingredients and it then tells you to peel that bit back and it then claims this indulgent exfoliating salt scrub is a sumptious blend of skin polishing dead sea salts wrapped in moisturising coconut, jojoba and sweet almonds to refine and resurface the texture of the skin and leave it uper smooth.
The directions of use are to massage onto clean damp skin using a firm circular motion, for best results rinse away the sea salts in warm bath water to allow the oils to absorb into the skin.
Do not apply this to your face.
I would also advise that this will only work in a bath.
Once again this is not tested on animals
Ok so I made myself a cuppa and got ready for an intense "me time" in the bath, we had a date and I had a feeling it was going to be good.
As I opened this jar and i will add it was easy to open, straightaway this gorgeous aroma just started to fill the bathroom, I was getting slightly excited ha ha.
So i cupped my hand and scooped out a bit of this and started on my arms and legs, wow this was salty lol this is a very thick consistency which does just look like wet salt but of course there is more to it than that.
As I rubbed it in circular motions It actually felt quite nice rubbing it in, kind of calming and it really felt like my skin was feeling the benefits already.
Ok so I done a really silly thing and applied this with my hands and I have alot of small cuts on my hand doh! so yes that stung like mad and felt like my hands were on fire lol so bit of a warning to either use a exfoliating mit or make sure you have no cuts lol.
Anyway after I had rubbed this all in which I must add it rubbed in really well. I then washed it off and laid back and relaxed in the bath and let the oils do their magic! and oh yes it did do magic, my skin insantly felt super smooth just like it says on the jar. It was like I was covered in silk.
The smell on my body was amazing and it was a sweet fragrance that just engulfed my body.
Even after drying the smell was still there and to enhance the smell even more I used the sanctuary body butter which just made my skin feel even smoother (although I didnt think that would be possible)
Ok so even the next day I had this slight smell still on my body and my skin is still soft and smooth as ever, I mean what more could you want. This is such a treat for your skin and I would definatly reccomend this to anyone. I would use this as a once or twice a week treat as it really is something you want to enjoy as a treat for your skin, inbetween I would use a normal exfoliator.
If it was possible I would rate this more than 5 stars as it truly is amazing.
go out and buy it I suggest. For more information visit www.thesanctuary.co.uk or even pop into boots.
Summary: it really does work
