Sanctuary Salt Scrub
Advantages: Great packaging and a lovely smell
I recieved a Sanctuary gift set from a friend and after trying the smaller products I was so impressed I bought the larger items.
Sanctuary products can be purchased in Boots where they are normally on 3 for 2 a pot of this scrub costs £10.20 and contains 650g of scrub. I have also since seen Sanctuary items in Debenhams where they are priced the same as Boots.
The tub is made of glass, there is a metal clasp which you push up to open the lid. It has a rubber seal around the lid to prevent the scrub from leaking. The container looks really expensive so it would be ideal as a gift.
The scrub contains a mixture of dead sea salts as well as jojoba, coconut and almond oils to remove dead skin cells and smooth the skin as well as moisturise.
To use the scrub you simply apply to damp skin and rub in circular motions until the majority of the salt crystals have disappeared. You then need to rinse the scrub off.
When I opened the scrub the first thing I noticed was a layer of oil on the top of the scrub, you need to mix this in before use. The scrub smells really nice it smells like coconut. The granules of the scrub are fine, which I prefer as I find scrubs with grains that are too big tend not to work as well.
After using the scrub I noticed that my skin had a slight oily layer on it. It reminded me of how my skin feels after using body oil. For this reason after drying I didn't need to moisturise. My skin felt soft and smooth after use. It also had a nice sheen.
I would recommend this as a luxury scrub, it is expensive but a tub does last months as you are only recommended to use it 2-3 times a week.
Summary: A great scrub that looks stylish in the bathroom!
