Simple are experts in sensitive skin. I recently stayed at my friends house for a few days and she has quite sensitive skin and so she had a bottle of Simple Refreshing SHower Gel in her bathroom which I used whilst I was there. I knew Simple as a brand already as they are famous for their no use of perfume or colour so it's safe to use if you have really sensitive skin. I have also heard from other parents that their products are safe enough to use on babies so this would be a good product to use on my little girl too. I have previously used their conditioner which I didn't really like but I was willing to give this shower gel a chance, especially as this was the only thing in the bathroom.

The shower gel itself is completely clear and see through so already I think this shows that there are hardly any ingredients or colorants clogging up the gel and making it something it's not. This looks like the gel in it stripped back natural state. The gel is quite thick and stays on your hands when you squeeze it out of the tube so it stays on your hands in the shower long enough for you to lather it up. According to Simple, this shower gel gives,"gentle cleansing combined with a blend of naturally enhancing ingredients that nourish and care for your skin." It also has added moisturisers which are meant to prevent drying leaving your skin soft and supple. I definitely found that my skin was nice and clean and fresh after using this product and it made my skin feel nice.

I think the only thing I did not like about this product was the lack of perfume. I like my shower gels to have a nice smell, be it fruity or flowery as I think this makes your shower firstly more exciting and also keeps you smelling nice and fresh throught the day. I really missed this shower gel having a scent as I think in someway maybe I didn't feel completely clean without a nice smell on me. That's not to say it didn't get me clean as I really felt it did I just missed a smell. However, one could argue that that is the point of the Simple range, to give consumers with sensitive skin that perhaps can't handle a scent, a range of products that are clean and unperfumed so you could say that this shower gel is perfect for that.

The active benefits in this shower gel are cucumber extract which naturally invigorates, chamomile oil which gently soothes and softens and like I've said above there are no perfumes or colours.
