Advantages: Good quality, only a small amount of shower gel needed.
Disadvantages: Too big, price.
This Soap & Glory shower puff is one of the products I received in the large Soap & Glory gift set at Christmas last year. It is usually priced at £3.50 from Boots though, which I do think is a bit pricey for a shower puff considering you can get Boots own branded ones for around £1 or even less from other cheaper shops.
As it is from Soap & Glory you would expect the quality of the puff to be very good, which it is. It isn't flimsy and doesn't fall apart (at least mine hasn't yet).
The first thing you notice about this shower puff is its size, it is very large compared to other shower puffs that I have used in the past and this has its advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, because its so big you might think you would need to use a lot of shower gel for it to lather up and become foamy all over, but it actually doesn't and still only requires a small amount to be used, regardless of its size. However, I cannot hold this in my hand firmly because of its size which prevents me from being able to scrub my body with it as hard as I would like to. I can only scrub it gently and so it is good for a gentle scrub, but not for a hard scrub when your using a body exfoliator that requires to be scrubbed into your skin hard for it to work.
It also has a Soap & Glory printed ribbon attached to it so you can hold it this way or hang it onto a hook in your bathroom if you like to do this with your shower puffs. The ribbon really doesn't seem very strong though, especially when the shower puff is wet and so becomes heavier. The ribbon on mine actually came off today, I wasn't particularly bothered though as It was of no use to me, but I do think it was because of the weight of the shower puff when it is wet.
These shower puffs come in handy when you are wanting to scrub fake tan off with an exfoliator but unfortunately for me, this one doesn't do the job as well as other smaller ones and so if you do use it for that particular reason then you may want to avoid this one. If you want a one that lathers up well and wont fall apart so easily for a gentle scrub though, then it is good for this.
If I get another one of these in another Soap & Glory set then I will use it again, but I won't go out and buy another one when this one is no longer any good.
Summary: Only good for a gentle scrub as you cannot hold it properly!
