I'm a massive Soap & Glory fan and had always eyed up this bubble bath on the display but never took the plunge so to speak so when I saw a mini bottle on our charity swap table, I literally swooped and put my money in the jar (it's for Marie Curie). I spent all day feeling smug that I'd spotted this and couldn't wait to try it. Why did I wait so long? First impressions of this product are that it is just marvellous. Huge bubbles that last ages and even moisturising properties in the formula that keep your skin soft even a day after the bath. We all know the S&G packaging is old fashioned with a modern twist but also very high quality. A bottle of Radox literally snapped on me at Christmas the plastic was so thin. None of that with my favourite brand S&G. The screw top lid on my mini was OK and certainly is great for travel. I'm not sure if the bigger size has a flip top or not. Price A 500 ml bottle costs £6 at the moment but you can often get offers on this in Boots and points too. It's definitely worth every penny. My thoughts I love this and will buy more when my stocks of Radox run low (I decanted the snapped bottle as best I could). The classic S&G smell comes with this bubble bath and that's a sweet clean smelling marshmellow tipped aroma. This product is also sold in America and has fabulous online feedback (yes, I do love reading reviews on my favourite products!). I really don't know anyone that would not like a bottle of this as a gift except perhaps someone that doesn't own a bathtub. If so, invite them round to yours and draw some hot water for them! Final word I can't really speak highly enough of this product. The quality of product is high, the price reasonable and the girly pinkness of it all very pleasing. I would buy this as a gift as well as it's an easy pleaser. Those that don't give S&G a try really are missing out and this bubble bath is a great starting point. Fingers crossed I find more in my stash when I go through it - am making myself use 'old stock' first before I delve in to the new!! PS. Title translation is bubbling bath soak ~ I just thought it sounded so divine I used it for my title...
This review is probably already biased, as I love Soap and Glory products. I've used a fair few of them over the years, but the Calm One, Calm All bubble bath was one of the first I tried - and I'm still using it several years later! I do like a good bath once a week or so (although please note, I do shower daily!) and it's always a bit of an event. Bubbles, book, facemask the works! I can see more baths in the future as the weather gets colder and I want to snuggle up at home and I imagine other people might be the same, so I thought I'd review Calm One, Calm All. Soap and Glory products are a Boots own make and as such can be bought in Boots stores or on their website. I usually go to the large Boots store in the city centre which has loads of S&G products, but there is a small local high street Boots near me that sells a few S&G basics, including the bubble bath. The bottle costs £6 but at 500ml it's a big bottle with plenty of product! The bottle is fairly large but I just keep it by the side of the bath, I like the look of it with the traditional Soap and Glory pink with vintage pictures. The bottle has a screw cap so you simply unscrew and pour into a running bath. I find the consistency of the product means that it comes out in 'globs' rather than a constant pour. One glob is enough for a regular sized bath of bubbles - trust me! Anything more and it becomes bubble city in your bathroom! After your 'glob' the bath becomes filled with even white bubbles. I find the whole bath is covered and the smell is gorgeous - that distinctive Soap and Glory musky smell. I'm not quite sure what the smell is, other than 'nice'. I find that the bubbles last a long time - by the time I finish an average half hour bath they are starting to thin out. I find that using any other product in the bath (shave gel, shower gel) and the bubbles disappear. However, I'm more than happy with how many bubbles I get and how long they last! Now the difference with this bubble bath compared to others is that it promises to moisturise as well. I have to admit that after I get out of the bath, my skin does feel silky and smoother than other bath products, or if I have a bath with no products. I do find that baths can dry my skin out and make my skin a bit itchy, but this bubble bath leaves my skin feeling silky. It doesn't feel slippery or greasy though which is great. I do still chose to use moisturiser afterwards to keep my skin in good condition and smelling great. I use Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter body lotion of course, which builds up the smell from the bubble bath. My partner, who tries his best but is usually endearingly oblivious to most things, has commented that I smell good after a good S&G bubble bath and moisturise! Overall, This product smells great and looks good in the bathroom. The bottle is easy to use and a little bit of product goes a long way. My skin is left smooth and silky after a bath. At £5 it's not the cheapest you can buy but a small amount goes a long way and it definitely works out as good value in the long run. Plus for me bathing should always be a luxury! I literally have nothing bad to say. 5 stars from me.
I love Soap and Glory products and was really pleased last week when a friend gave me a few of her toiletries which she said were 'surplus' and 'cluttering up' her bathroom cabinet. She made it sound like I was doing her a massive favour (bless) and I am now the owner of 3 unused S & G items which I think were part of a gift set because the sizes are smaller. The Calm One Calm All I have is 75ml so not sure whether this can be purchased on its own but the 500ml is around £5. I love the retro pictures these products have on their packaging as they stand out and I always feel as if I am in for a real treat when I use them. The bottle has a screw on lid and the writing on the front tells me it is a 'deluxe formula', 'bubbling bath soak' whilst on the back it tells me directions for use, ingredients and cautions which state the bath soak is for adults only! I had to smile when I read the directions - 'dose a capful or two into a brimming bathtub' - you must be joking because, call me mean, but I want to enjoy this as long as possible. One or two capfuls would mean this 75ml would only give me about four or five baths and I have found just one is ample to give me a lovely long calming and luxurious soak. The smell is as you would expect from S&G products and after using this I have found that the scent stays with me for quite some time. It contains lemon balm and mallow extract and I can smell musk, vanilla and strawberries too. I had ample bubbles in my bath despite only using one capful so I imagine it would be even more luxurious had I used the recommended 'dose'. Not only do I feel clean, calm and relaxed but my skin feels moisturised too which is great during this hot weather. Looking ahead I think this would be a fab treat for the winter months and (dare I say?) as a thoughtful Christmas present. For the above reasons I have to award this 5 stars :)
As a gift for my birthday, my sister got me a few different Soap & Glory products, something which I had never used up until this point. She knows how much I love my baths so one thing I got was the Soap & Glory Calm One, Calm All Bubble Bath. Soap & Glory is available in Boots and online and there are often 3 for 2 offers on this brand. For a 500ml bottle of this bubble bath, you can expect to pay around £5.50. I think this is why I have never bought the brand before though. I have never seen the point in spending this much on a bubble bath. The Soap & Glory brand always comes in vintage style packaging, which I really like. The see through plastic bottle has a large pink sticker attached to it and this is where you find all of the product information. The bottle also has a lot of different fonts of writing, which at first I didn't like too much but now I think it makes the bottle look more interesting. The cap is a twist off and you need to give the bottle a little squeeze in order to make the liquid come out. Soap & Glory describe the bubble bath as; 'Our deluxe formula comes with a built-in body lotion plus lemon balm, mallow extracts and moisture-magnetising skin conditioners to smooth you while they soothe you. Scented with our Original PinkTM fragrance.' Before even opening the bottle, you are able to see that the bubble bath is a lovely, soft pink colour. Once the bottle is open, you can smell what this bubble bath is like. I cannot exactly pinpoint what it smells like but the best way I think to describe it is as girly. There is a definite hint of lemon there as well. While this smells nice in the bottle, it smells even better once you put it in hot/ warm water. Although Soap & Glory advise to use a few capfuls, I find that you only really need to use one, unless you want the bath overflowing with bubbles. After one capful, my bathroom is filled with a sweet and fruity aroma and the bath is filled with bubbles. I wasn't expecting this to foam up quite as well as it did even though it is an expensive product. Also, the bath water becomes exceptionally soft and silky which is one of the features of this product that I really love. Soap & Glory also claim that this bubble bath will help you to de-stress and they are absolutely right. Having a bath filled with this product and the bubbles it produces is really relaxing and I cannot help but stay in the bath for about an hour. Not only does this feel great while in the water but it also makes my skin really soft and smooth. After getting out of the bath, I can instantly feel that my skin is softer than usual. This is a really good moisturising bubble bath so it is a shame that I don't use it more often really. If the price was slightly less, I would use it at least a couple of times a week but I'm trying to make the bottle last me a while. Although this is an expensive product, I absolutely love it. I don't use it all the time though, maybe once a week. I will be buying this again for sure now that I don't particularly care about the price.
I am on a mission to use up all the bathroom products BEFORE I buy anymore! I get quite a few gift sets for Christmas and seem to be taking a while to get through them all. This was in the Soap & Glory big gift set my darling husband bought me for Christmas. I gave him a few hints that it was on offer in Boots that week so he went along to get it. (I would rather have presents I want than suprises - ungrateful I know!) == The Packaging == As most people know by now, Soap and Glory is a popular brand which has retro style images on the packaging, featuring black and white photographs. This is is a 'Calm One Calm All -Stress-Battling Softening Bubble Bath', and it claims to be a deluxe formula with body lotion built in. The bottle is clear plastic with a clear screw top lid. The label on the front is pink with a black and white photo of a glamorous looking woman bathing with her hair on top of her head. It lists the ingredients and the directions for use. == The Product == The bubble bath itself is pale pink in colour, it pours quite quickly out of the bottle and seems to be quite thick. I tend to pour it while the bath is running and swish the water around with my hand. It produces alot of bubbles and the smell is lovely. On the bottle it says it contains lemon balm, mallow extracts and moisture-magnetising skin conditioners. == Price and Availability == The Soap and Glory range is available to purchase from Boots stores and also on their website www.boots.com. There is often promotions on such as 3 for 2 or if you buy a certain amount you get a free gift. This on its own is usually priced at around £5.50. == Overall Summary == This is a luxurious bubble bath which produces lots of lovely scented bubbles and makes me feel pampered and relaxed. This is more than I would usually pay for a bubble bath but as the bottle is so big it does last a long time. It does make my skin feel soft too. I would recommend running a nice deep bath with lots of bubbles, a few candles and a (small) glass of wine. Perfect! Thanks for reading.
WHAT IS IT? Bubble bath from Soap & Glory. WHAT I THINK I like this bubble bath but I think you have to use too much in every bath and that makes it not last very long. It produces many bubbles in the bath and they are thick and do not pop or disappear while I am bathing. The bubbles are strong so you can pick some up and wash with them, I think they are very moisturising on my skin so do this always. The fragrance of Calm One Calm All is very beautiful and I like very much how feminine it is. The air in my bathroom gets heavy with the smell and I like this because it relaxes me, it doesn't last for very long on my skin and I am sorry for this because I like the fragrance very much. My sister uses this bubble bath and she was the person who gifted this bottle to me, when she uses it I can smell it around her for a lot longer than me. I think this bubble bath is moisturising but it does not make my skin feel very soft so I still use body moisturiser after I have finished my bath. I feel clean when I have bathed but if I get the water in my hair it makes it look greasy unless I wash it with shampoo, this does not happen if just the bubbles touch my hair and I am glad about that because I do not need to be too careful. I like the bubble bath but I will not buy it very often for myself because the bottle does not last for very long and I think Lush bubble bars are better value because they can be broken into more than one bath and feel more like luxury to use. ANYTHING ELSE Calm One Calm All comes in a 500ml bottle and it costs £5.50. 4 Dooyoo Stars.
Anyone who knows me will know that I have a love of smellies and I have been known to get quite excited after receiving them as a gift. Consequently, for my birthday this year, my sister generously splashed out on a range of Soap and Glory items one of which was this One Calm All Bubble Bath. This bubble bath comes prettily packaged in an upright plastic bottle which is topped with a white screw top lid. The bottle is slightly transparent to show the soft pink of the bubble bath liquid inside and the bottle is illustrated with the text 'Calm One, Calm All' and a black and white image of a lady sitting in a foamy bath. The bottle opens easily in my opinion and is therefore perfect when running a bath as the lid screws off easily even with wet hands. The liquid inside smells heavenly and anyone who has used the Soap and Glory range before will understand my love of the scent. Soap and Glory state that it contains a mixture of bubbled bergamot, strawberries and mandarin with mid notes of musk, amber and warm vanilla. In my opinion it is the bergamot and vanilla scents that stand out the most making my bath smell slightly floral and very feminine. I feel that this is a perfect treat at the end of a busy week particularly at this time of the year when the weather is turning noticeably cooler. The liquid is quite thick in consistency and plops out of the bottle as oppose to runs. Soap and Glory recommend that a dollop of this bubble bath is poured under running water and then swished to froth up the bubbles. I find that a 50p size dollop of the liquid is adequate for my bath and when swished it not only creates a plethora of bubbles but also fills my bathroom with fragrance. The smell of this bubble bath is really relaxing and I can therefore concur with the calm claims made by Soap and Glory about this product. The bubbles last quite well, although by the end of my bath they are often just a white film on the top of the water. After getting out of the bath I find that my skin feels soft, clean and hydrated and doesn't feel at all dried out. In addition I find this bubble bath soothing to my skin without causing irritation. A look online reveals that a 500ml bottle of this bubble bath can be purchased from Boots for £5.50. This price is very good in my opinion particularly considering that using only a small dollop a couple of times a week has meant that mine has lasted for a good 4 months now with liquid to spare. This is a great product and is particularly suited to anyone who wants a relaxing and fragrant bath time. As a result I will be recommending this bubble bath and it scores a great four stars from me. Thanks for reading! x
I find that it's unusually hard to find a decent bubble bath that produces nice fluffy and long lasting bubbles. Being a great fan of Soap and Glory products I thought I'd try out their product calm one calm all. Due to the regular 3 for 2 promotion Soap and Glory Products are on in Boots I managed to get this product as my free purchase however the regular RRP price is £5.50, quite a lot of money to spend on bubble bath if you ask me, but if the offer is on it in effect reduces the price a bit, and eases the pain of parting with your hard earned cash! You use this product just like you use all other normal bubble baths, poor the required amount into the tub whilst the taps are running, I usually find that flailing my hands around in the water opposite the taps helps to speed the process up. With this product is doesn't take long to build up a nice bubble base. I was really pleased to see that the bubbles being produced were very frothy and fluffy unlike some of the cheap nasty products that product huge bubbles that pop by themselves after a few seconds! Like most Soap and Glory product this one has a distinctive floral and soapy sent to it which makes ideal for any girl's 'Me time'. The scent isn't too over powering just subtle enough to build a nice girly relaxing atmosphere. Once you've finished running the bath the bubbles are usually at a good height with lots of coverage over the water, just like you see in the movies. When you're in the bath you can hear the bubbles fizzing away which also creates a calming sound living up to the name of the bottle. The bubbles usually last around 45 minutes before they've completely disappeared which in my experience is still three times longer than most products I've tried. Overall I'm extremely pleased that I tried this product out and it's now on my 'Luxury essentials' list which I try to top up every time I come into a bit of spare cash. The bubbles are soft to touch and slowly fizz away in your hand and the scent is really quite lovely. There is nothing to fault with this bubble bath, it does everything it's supposed to do and excels in it! Very much recommended.
I shall admit that I am one massive beauty and toiletry junkie; I simply adore all of them all. I have just got around to the likes of Soap and Glory after receiving a huge stash for Christmas. I have boxes of unopened items so it was about time I started making my way through them and not to buy any more until I run out. Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath: 'Our deluxe formula comes with a built-in body lotion plus lemon balm, mallow extracts and moisture-magnetising skin conditioners to smooth you while they soothe you. Scented with our Original PinkTM fragrance' My Findings: I do like my showers but baths for me are one of the best things in the world and if you match that with a great bubble bath well then I'm in heaven! To start with I was a little put off with Soap & Glory as it was all I was hearing about. Well seems I was well and truly missing out. If you have ever tried Angel Cake by NSpa and you liked it you will certainly love this. I personally found it to be very similar in scent to Angel Cake. But the best part is with this one is that the Calm One Calm all also leaves your skin feeling moisturised. Being disabled and working can be very stressful to say the least it states that this bubble has relaxing and anti-stress properties. Personally I can definitely feel a difference after having a soak; I do genuinely fell more relaxed and especially having a bath before bed has made me sleep much easier. Now whether this is mind over matter I don't really know, but it certainly helps calm me down and feel more at ease so something is working! This works just like any bubble bath by adding a few capfuls to the running water. Soon as this product hits the hot water you can instantly smell its wonderful aroma. There are a good amount of bubbles that are really soft to feel over your skin. Stepping into the bath the water is lovely and soft with a velvet silky feel. This makes baths even more pleasurable when they feel so nice on your skin! The liquid itself is medium consistency and baby pink in colour, even-though the bubble is coloured it doesn't really make much of a change to the bath water. Another bonus is the gorgeous scent, it is noticeable but subtle and I love how it lingers on my skin. I still normally follow with a moisturiser though as my skin can get dry. The aroma is certainly like Angel Cake but with a bit more lemon but not like in a cleaning product way. I am coming to the end of my bottle now and it has last me a couple of months using this twice a week, sometimes more but I have other products I use too. I really like the packaging design this brand has taken on. It is girly with a modern vintage tone and fully recyclable once empty. Price and Availability: I had this as part of a set the average price for this product is around the £5.00 mark for the 500ml tub. Now this is a little on the pricey side but it last well and does an amazing job. So I personally think it is well worth its money. Overall: I'm really glad I had an S & G goodie set, I've been able to test a good amount of their products and this one for me is by far one of my favourite. The smell, the way it feels on my skin and the after effects. All of which I adore and would certainly recommend this to all bath lovers. Five out of five stars from me. Thank you for reading. I'm not usually a big fan of having a bath - I would rather have a long shower over a bath any day of the week simply because they take less time & I feel cleaner when I've had a shower over a bath. The only time I ever have a nice, relaxing bath is when I get a new product to try out - one that can only be used in a bath: bombs, salts or in this case a new bubble bath. As I mentioned in a few of my other reviews over the last few weeks I got a massive Soap & Glory set for Christmas and in that set was this 'Calm One Calm All' bubble bath which I was looking forward to trying out as simply it wouldn't have been something I'd have picked up for myself. Now I'm not going to pretend that this has converted me and now I a bath lover but I must admit I have been pleasantly surprised - it's made me relax in the bath a bit more often anyway! Useful Information: Price: £5.11 - 500ml bottle. Stockists: Both Boots stores and their online site stock this brand. Other Info: This promises to not only be a bubble bath that will wash your stresses and obviously dirt away but also that it will give your skin intense moisture as it has a body lotion built into the formula. Soothing and softening - what's not to like?! The packaging for this bubble bath is typical of the brand I think and I love it. It's very girly and pink but has a retro feel to it which I've come to associate with this brand - this one has a black and white picture of a woman bathing on the front, which I think changes every now and then - in fact you can even send in old pictures (that fit the product obviously) and they might get printed onto the bottles. The bottle is 500ml in size - which is actually massive and will last me forever - and it's totally transparent so you can see exactly how much bubble bath you have left after each use. On the sides and back of the bottle is all the information you could need on the product - ingredients, directions for use, shelf life (24M), cautions etc and there is also a website address and street address you can write to should you have any other questions or comments about the product. Basically the packaging is brilliant and practical for me so everything I'm looking for really. Using this is very simple as it's no different from any other bubble bath - just pour a few capfuls into the lid and then into the water while its running to create a tonne of bubbles. I find that 2 capfuls in the lid is more than enough to give me a bath full to the brim of bubbles that last till I've finished in the bath - meaning you don't need more than that and one bottle will last you a really long time, even if you have a bath more regularly than I do. Even a really small amount of this does create a load of bubbles and scent and those are two things that in my opinion make for a very relaxing bath. Not only that but this also makes the water feel SO soft and silky so you feel like your skin is getting more moisture than usual just from the water - not to the point where it feels greasy or slippy - just much silkier than a normal bubble bath would make the water feel. The scent of this is another thing I really like about it because its scented with that unique fragrance that I now associate with S&G - it contains lemon and mallow extracts both of which you can clearly smell but it's a more fruity, sweet scent when it starts to fade a little bit which is right up my street. The smell even lingers in the air and on my skin which is always a bonus in my opinion. But even better than the smell is the results that this has on my skin and why it has made me rethink my bath opinions LOL. This basically does everything it promises to for my skin - it makes me feel cleaner and fresher which is something I expected from it but it also makes my skin feel much softer as well. I didn't really believe the whole 'added body lotion' claim to be honest but it actually exceeded my expectations in that way. After having a bath with this product in it my skin looks and feels MUCH softer, as if I'd just applied a proper body lotion. Even the parts of my skin that are normally VERY dry - elbows, knees and feet - felt much more moisturised than usual & I normally apply every cream under the sun to try and soften them up, but this worked! It definitely surpassed my expectations - which I never thought I'd say - and I'll be using this a lot more often than I would a normal bubble bath. Id highly recommend it as well and here is one thing I never thought I'd say ... I'll be buying it again in the future!! Thanks For Reading x0 Salz 0x
Well, I do believe this is the final product in my Soap and Glory gift set which I have yet to review. The Calm One Calm All bubble bath is a real bit of luxury at bathtime. I usually buy whatever's on offer, or occasionally I'll have received a gift set and treat myself, but this just makes bathtime feel so much more pampering. The bubble bath costs £5.11 for 500ml at full price. This isn't too bad as the bottle should last a while, and you can take advantage of Boots' 3-for-2 offer which they run quite regularly. This product describes itself as a double function deluxe formula bubble bath soak. Like the shower gel in the same range, it has a built-in moisturiser. This is reassuring because quite often after a long bath I leave the bathroom looking like a shrivelled prune, so it's good to know this is moisturising my skin! The bubble bath is pink, as are many Soap and Glory products, and it has the classic sweet floral fragrance which is the Soap and Glory trademark. According to the Boots website product information, this fragrance is made up of bergamot, strawberries and mandarin, with floral and fruity mid notes, and musk, amber and warm vanilla. Lets be honest, that sounds good enough to eat, let alone have a soak in the bath in! The packaging itself looks quite classy and luxurious, with a clear bottle so you can see the gorgeous pink looking liquid inside, and a very girly label with a black and white picture of a woman in the bath. I feel like I'm cheating the Soap and Glory brand by storing this in my bathroom cupboard instead of having it on display, but then my other half isn't a fan of clutter...... The bubble bath looks rich and creamy when you start pouring it, and it gives a good standard of bubbles without too much "swishing" of the water. The smell hits you immediately, and it penetrates the bathroom and fills the air. The smell makes the bathing experience really enjoyable, and the bubbles last a lot longer than most, even when I introduce the typical bubble-killers such as shaving gel or soap. After using this bubble bath, I can't really comment on whether it left my skin any softer or more moisturised, because I always feel like my skin's dried out when I've had a bath due to me forgetting where I am and spending ages in there! I usually moisturise after a bath anyway, and I've been using the Soap and Glory range for this which has left me with lovely soft skin, so I can only presume that this bubble bath has contributed to that. I think the thickness of the product as you're pouring it probably indicates it has more moisturising properties than most. Overall, I think this bubble bath is worth paying a bit more for to bring a bit of luxury to what is for most people, a bit of a treat. I rarely get time for baths and am usually in and out of the shower as quickly as possible, but if every bathtime was this pleasant, I'd probably make more time for them.
Here's the next review from my Big Splendour gift set which I received at Christmas - don't worry there will only be a couple more! The gift set contains products from the Soap and Glory range available in Boots and today's offering is the bubble bath called Calm One, Calm All - as usual with this particular range the name is a play on words. This bubble bath currently costs £5.11 for 500ml. Calm One, Calm All comes in a clear, plastic, cylindrical container with a screw top lid. The writing on the front of the bottle tells us that this contains a 'stress battling softening bubble bath' with built in body lotion. The liquid contains lemon balm, mallow extracts and 'moisture magnetising skin conditioners' whatever that means! Round the rest of the bottle there is a full list of ingredients, warnings to keep the liquid out of your eyes and some anecdotes about bathing. I usually take a shower these days as it is quicker but, since I had this gorgeous sounding bubble bath, I decided it was time for a long soak. I began running the water and unscrewed the lid of the bubble bath. I upended the bottle and dropped a few capfuls of the thick, pink, creamy liquid into the running water. Immediately the bubbles began to form and a lovely fragrance filled the air in the bathroom. The smell is fresh, floral and sweet and unmistakably Soap and Glory. As the water continued to fill the bath the bubbles continued to develop until I had a bath full of hot water and luxurious foam. I stepped in to enjoy my soak and immediately felt how soft the water was. I lay back and let the lovely fragrance envelop me while I enjoyed the soft, warm water. I definitely relaxed in the bath and felt much better and less stressed for having my soak. Once I had finished my bath and dried myself I used my Soap and Glory body butter to complete the experience. I must say that I didn't actually notice any appreciable moisturising of my skin by the bubble bath but it did feel softened and cleansed. In conclusion I enjoyed using this bubble bath and will do so again although it won't make me a regular bather - I will still be a shower girl most of the time. However, it will be nice to know that the rest of the Calm One, Calm All is in the bathroom cupboard for when I feel the need of a good soak! I have a good pile of wood outside that needs chopping for our log burner and I am sure the thought of a long, sweet smelling bath will help me get on with it!! To finish the review there are a couple of things left to be said - firstly since the container is plastic it goes into the plastic recycling bag once it is empty. The second tip is that, if you are a fan of Soap and Glory, look out for special offers in Boots as they are usually good offers and they have them on a regular basis. Their products tend to be a bit on the expensive side so it is worth stocking up when the offers are on.
Soap and Glory is a brand founded by the owner of Bliss. The brand offers retro packaging and an array of beauty products from bath and body goodies to perfume and a few bits of make up. S&G goodies are not tested on animals. *~*Calm One Calm All*~* Whilst much of the Soap and Glory bath/shower goodies focus around shower washes and body scrubs, Calm One Calm All, is a bubble bath. This bubble bath contains a "deluxe formula" which basically refers to the body lotion which has been included. Calm One Calm All contains a few key ingredients to ensure you have a relaxing bath of bubbles which will soothe and soften the skin. The main ingredients include lemon balm and mallow extracts. The bubble bath is scented with S&G signature scent and is part of the Original Pink range. The scent is a blend of strawberry, bergamot and mandarin with undertones of warm vanilla, amber and musk. *~*Design and Directions For Use*~* The bubble bath is housed within a tall, clear plastic bottle which can be recycled. A retro style pink label with an old fashioned photo adorns the bottle and some quirky sounding information relating to the bubble bath is present. The bottle is completed by a screw on, plastic cap which reveals a large hole for easy dispensing of the bubble bath. It is recommended that you dispense a few capfuls of this bubble bath into hot water before relaxing. *~*Price*~* S&G products can be purchased from Harvey Nichols and Asos though Boots carry a much wider range. Calm One Calm All, is available in a 500ml bottle and is priced around £5.11. It is worth noting that Boots often offer S&G products on a 3for2 offer or 1/3 off deal. *~*My Thoughts*~* I love pampering myself and I love Soap and Glory products..you get the picture don't you? My fiance also knows I love S&G products and took the hint with all the pink coloured gels I had in the bathroom. On Christmas Eve, he went to Boots and the next morning, I had a beautifully wrapped (by my fiances Mum) present from my little boy. Normally I opt for the shower gels in the range but was pleased to receive the Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath. The bottle is uniform for S&G and very girly. I don't have baths often since moving into a flat which has a shower over the bath. When I'm not feeling myself or need extra chill out time, I opt for a bath. I can't lie in a plain bath though as there is nothing exciting about that so I use a bubble bath to liven it up a little. Radox is ideal for sore, achy days but when I just want a gorgeous smelling bath, out comes my S&G bubble bath. My 500ml bottle is still going strong as I use it perhaps once every 2 weeks. *~*Calm It*~* The bubble bath is of a very thick, creamy consistency. It is a beautiful shade of pink and on opening the bottle, I get to experience a stunning, fresh aroma which is owed to the bergamot. The sweet and fruity notes are quite subtle in comparrison to many of the S&G goodies but overall, the scent is still highly appealing. The bubble bath is quite gloopy as it pours from the bottle. I don't tend to measure it out in the cap but simply pour a small amount under a running tap. The bubbles instantly start to form and I only need to pour a small blob of bubble bath under the tap and swirl it around for gorgeous bubbles. The amount of bubbles that form isn't over the top but substantial enough to cover the surface of the bath water and my body. On stepping into the water, the body lotion aspect of the bubble bath becomes noticeable. The water is exceptionally soft and feels smooth and soothing against my sensitive skin. The bubbles are equally as soft and tend to last for the full 30mins I lie in the bath reading a magazine or simply relaxing. The fresh scent settles to a calming, cosy scent which is very comforting and relaxing. Whilst not too strong, I can detect hints of vanilla as I lie in the bath and it makes the experience very pleasant indeed. The soft scent lingers gently for the duration of my bath. When it comes to washing down, I allow the soft bubbles to caress my damp skin and sort of massage them in. Each clump of bubbles holds a small amount of the gorgeous scent. Past experience confirmed the scent doesn't linger after simply dipping in the bath. I occasionally apply a tiny blob of the bubble bath to a sponge and massage it onto my skin. Whilst it doesn't lather like the other S&G shower gels, an extra smooth layer of gorgeous smelling bubble bath scents my skin and leaves it extra soft. *~*Conclusion*~* A small amount of this bubble bath provides 30mins of relaxation for me and the bubbles feel so good. Whilst I prefer the convenience of the shower gels, I do like this bubble bath for its intended purpose but do feel the scent could have been a little more concentrated. One thing I do like is that after bathing, I can step out the bath and my skin feels instantly smooth and cleansed. I often experience dryness from certain bubble baths and feel the built in body lotion helped adapt this bubble bath to be gentle to skin. One bottle lasts quite a long time with occasional use so I don't mind the £5.11 price tag for a little bit of pampering. I recommend Calm One Calm All for a bath time treat, just don't expect too much from it. Thanks for reading :)
I have been using the Soap and Glory range for a good few years now, and though I have used the majority of products from the 'original' range - in other words the very first Soap and Glory products to be released - I didn't get round to trying this one, the Calm One, Calm All bubble bath until recently. This bubble bath is described as 'a double function deluxe formula bath soak'. The double function that they refer to, is that this product supposedly has a built in body lotion. I was slightly sceptical about this claim, since I have used the 'Clean on Me' shower gel which is also supposed to have a built in body lotion, and that didn't really seem to work, so I had no reason to think this would be any different. I got my product as part of a hatbox gift set at Christmas, and it's only the travel sized version. The full sized version comes in a clear bottle with a black and white 50's style photograph, and has a very kitsch sort of feeling about it, as a lot of the Soap and Glory packaging does. The actual bubble bath is a pale pink colour, and has a fairly thick consistency, which means it runs out of the bottle fairly slowly. Once in the bath it starts to lather quickly and a reasonably small amount will create a good amount of bubbles. The most positive thing about the product is probably its scent. A lot of the Soap and Glory products have a very similar scent, and this one smells like the Clean on Me shower gel I already mentioned and the Righteous butter body butter. The scent is said to be a combination of bergamot, strawberries, mandarin, musk, warm vanilla and amber. These fragrances combine to give a sweet, fruity fragrance. The smell is gorgeous, very feminine and girly, and although I think it would appeal to all ages, I think younger girls in particularly would like it. Unfortunately when in the bath, I don't think that the scent lasts particularly well. I would estimate that after around 10 minutes I couldn't really smell it any more, which was disappointing. Of course, if you're someone who just has a quick dip in the bath, this probably won't bother you, but if you like a long soak like I do, then it's a bit of a let down. Another thing that didn't really last were the bubbles. I found the bubbles felt very light and soft, but on the majority of occasions, they had faded by the time I got out of the bath. And what about that built in body lotion? Well, although the product wasn't drying, I didn't find it particularly moisturising either, and it certainly couldn't substitute body lotion. I should add however, that I have fairly dry skin, so maybe those with more 'normal' skin types will get on better with the body lotion element of the product. A 500ml bottle of this bubble bath costs £5.11 from Boots. I personally think that for what it is, that's a little on the expensive side. Whilst I absolutely loved the scent, the quality of the bubble bath, didn't justify the price if you ask me. Everyone I've spoken to about Soap and Glory loves this product, so I was surprised at how very average I found it. Perhaps I'm just becoming more difficult to please, but whilst this was nice enough, I don't think I would go out of my way to use it again, and I would only recommend it if you love the scent, and not if you're expecting a fabulous bathing product. *Review originally posted on Ciao under username pink_champagne
==Soap and Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath== I love most of the products that are in the Soap and Glory range and when ever I see a product that I have yet to try I can't help but snap it up. This was the case with this Bubble Bath and after my birthday I decided to use some of my vouchers that I have received as a present on buying a whole selection of products from the Soap and Glory range. Then receiving a late birthday present of a ton of Soap and Glory bits I have now got the stuff spilling out from every cupboard and draw I have and it should last me well up until my next birthday. The Bubble Bath must be something relatively new as I have not tried up up until now and I do keep my eyes open for all the Soap and glory products that I think I would like. Not only had I not tried it but it seemed like a fairly good price when I bought it as there was a special offer on where you saved 1/3rd off any product from this range. The usual price of this bubble bath is £5.11p which I guess it quite expensive for a 500 ml bottle compared to other brands such as Radox or the like. However you know that when buying a Soap and Glory product you are getting something which is a little bit special. As I say the bottle contains 500 ml (16.2 fl oz) and stands as a dumpy bottle rather than a tall Radox bath style one. The lid is a screw cap and this is easy to open and easy to pour the product from. The bottle is a clear plastic which means that you can see the bubble bath inside which is a lovely bubble gum type pink colour and looks really lovely. The thickness of the bubble bath is apparent from the outside as you can see it slowly moving when you tilt it and it shows that the consistency is thick and luxurious. The clear plastic bottle makes it easy to see how much of the product you have left and how long before you need to buy another which is always good because I hate it when you think you have a ton of a product left but because of not being able to see inside end up running completely out of it! When the cap is screwed off of the bottle of bubble bath the wonderfully classic soap and Glory aroma is plainly evident straight away and I have to say I love this smell. It is described on the front as having lemon balm and mallow extracts in the ingredients which give it this sweet and very feminine fragrance. The smell of the bubble bath only increases once it is added to the warm running water of a bath and the aroma is quick to fill the bathroom. The directions for use of this Calm one Calm All Bubble Bath is simple and pretty much like most other products of this type. All you need do is to add two or three capfuls of this bubble bath to warm running water and sit back and wait for the fragrance and bubbles to fill the bath. When doing this it is clear that the three capfuls really are enough to give a good mound of bubbles and a wonderful smell. The cap is not that big so one bath hardly uses any of the product and this means that the 500 ml bottle will last a very good number of baths and thus works out far better value for money than first expected. The good thing with this bubble bath is that is claims to have a "Deluxe Formula" as it has a built in body lotion in the mix. This is not overly apparent when you get into the bath as I was expecting it to feel slightly oily on my skin when bathing but this wasn't the case at all. The bubbles were gently cleansing my skin and the aroma was very much relaxing me but I wasn't too sure whether the bubble bath was actually giving my skin any added softness until I stepped out of the bath. It seemed that not only was I clean as a whistle and totally relaxed but also felt wondrously smooth and soft. I can't really say that I didn't have to put any moisturiser on but I can say that I felt a lot better skin wise after a bath with this Soap and glory Bubble Bath than I would usually do with my anti-stress Radox bubble bath. I felt positively wonderful and called Himself in to cop a feel. He agreed I felt pretty good! I really do like this Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath from Soap and Glory, this is a good job really as I have another 2 bottles in the box under my bed to use up! A whole bottle does last a very good time and I think I have had a good 15 to 20 baths and am still only about half way through the first bottle of the stuff. The smell is wonderful and the bubbles it creates are plentiful. My skin feels clean and soft after having a bath with this product and it looks pretty good lined up in my bathroom with all my other Soap and Glory items. All in all I really cannot find any fault at all with this lovely bubble bath. It does exactly what it says on the bottle and a little bit extra. The price is affordable and even better when you catch it on a special offer or even get it as a gift! I would highly recommend it to everyone that loves a bath and for that reason I think a 5 out of 5 star rating is in order! I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you Many thanks for taking the time to read.
